Jung Soo-young adds comic flair to Hero
by javabeans
Jung Soo-young is a hoot, so news that she is joining Lee Junki‘s upcoming drama Hero is a welcome one — although it does make me wonder what kind of tone the drama will strike. Jung, originally a musical actress, has been steadily making a name for herself in dramas as a scene-stealer by playing comic, quirky characters. (For instance: She was crazy Kang-ja in Fantasy Couple, bizarre Hwa-ja in Queen of Housewives, and quirky Bu-mi in City Hall. If she keeps it up, I think she’s on her way to being the next Ahn Sun-young, whom I love.)
In Hero, she is taking on another unique character, though this one is reportedly different from the ones she has portrayed in the past. Jung plays a newspaper reporter with a strong resumé and equally strong personality; she’s a pro at handling men and possesses the ability to deflate one’s ego in an instant. She works at the same paper as Lee Junki’s character, which promises to show us some “cheerful and lively team play.”
Hero also stars Kim Min-jung and Eom Ki-joon and is scheduled for a November 18 premiere.

Jung Soo-young so awesome. I'll watch this just because she's in it (and because I want her to be my BFF)!

oh i LOVE her. i am watching kimchi cheese smile thru youtube these days, because i'm so dry on dramas. lee hye young (queen of housewives) and eom ki joon were in that too. great cast. but i really loved her in fantasy couple. loved her character (sweet comical and slightly pitiful if you think about it) and how she interacted with han ye seul's character. i loved the writing in that drama..... and her queen of housewives performance firmly cemented me as a jung soo young fan ahaha
so many dramas i'm looking forward to are airing in the next couple of weeks! like iris, hot blood (the one with chae jung ahn and park hae jin- this one i have great hopes for), hero, and you're beautiful (which i am KIND of looking forward to, but not really expecting much). i need some of these to disappoint, because my life has been incredibly restful these days, as i'm watching comparatively few dramas... my fair lady, high kick 2, sol pharmacy, and assorted gems. okay never mind, that's a lot. but i steal fifteen minute snatches between study breaks lol

She was great in Fantasy Couple and even better in City Hall.
If she's in it, it's worth checking out.
btw, she looks fabulous in that dress. Not many actresses would be able to carry that off.

WOW, love it she likes fantastic. This outfit makes her look really young and fresh ( like she is 21 instead of 27). I loved her character in City Hall as well ^_^. Girl had me crying with her.

loved her in fantasy couple and then in city hall! I didn't realize Kang-ja (FC) was played by the same person as Bu-mi (CH) until like halfway in! she's like a chameleon.

I so love Ahn Sun-young too!!!
Just because these actresses take on such comic roles, many viewers tend to forget how hot they really are... she looks so good in the photo.

I loved her both in Fantasy Couple and City Hall! This definitely helps move Queen of Housewives up on my to watch list (b/c I didn't know she was in it). And definitely makes me more curious (and anticipate) Hero.
