Jo In-sung’s last fanmeeting
by javabeans
…before enlisting in military service, that is.
Some stars choose to head off to their mandatory two-year (more or less) army duty with a bang, and some choose to go quietly. The 28-year-old Jo In-sung (Frozen Flower) is choosing a fanmeeting in Japan as his last official event before his March enlistment. Actually, that’s two fanmeetings, if ya wanna get technical: the March 3 event will be held in Osaka, while another on the 5th will be in Tokyo.
Originally scheduled for a January 2009 enlistment, Jo pushed back the date in order to promote his latest film, Frozen Flower co-starring Joo Jin-mo, more effectively.
Jo’s previous Japanese fanmeetings were held last March to the tune of 3,700 attendees.

Korea really needs a masculine icon like a young Chow Yun Fat or Beat Takeshi. Joo had promise after the Dirty Carnival, but in the real world....it didn't carry over. Korea lacks a bad ass.

why is it that korean artists always had their last or special 'things' in Japan? As if they appreciate japanese fans more than korean fans. kinda dissapointed

Clarice, I think you need to fully understand what you're talking about before you actually say it.
Chow Yun Fat: The Killer, Hard Boiled, and A Better Tomorrow. Toothpicks, trench coats, and dueling pistols. bad ass.
Older generations of Korean male Icons: Choi Min Sik and Yu Oh-seong ...bad asses.
Young generations of Korean icon male Actors: Dressing up as women, pink clothes and feminine postures.

Right on, rocketfuel! Too many girly-men in the K-entertainment industry today. I think the closest to a bad-ass would be So Ji-Sup. But the photo stills of his "Cain and Abel" role has him looking rather weak, now , too.
But I'm gonna miss my In-Sung! Been a fan since "Piano". Wish I could be there in Japan to see him in his last fanmeeting before going into the service. I wish him well!
