Park Yong-ha interview in Marie Claire
by javabeans
Park Yong-ha (On Air) is gearing up for a fresh round of promotion, mostly on behalf of his upcoming thriller, The Scam. It’s not the only thing he’s working on, however; Park recently released an album in Japan and is preparing for a a concert tour at the end of December and beginning of January.
Asked about working simultaneously on his acting career in Korea and his singing career in Japan, Park said he was happy with the balance he’s struck with the two. He talks about his new film, as well as his singerly activities in Japan, his next drama and more in an interview for the January issue of Marie Claire magazine. Some excerpts below.
The Scam is the next big item on his plate, as it comes attached with some significant expectations as the next thriller from the makers of The Chaser, which enjoyed such overwhelming success in 2008. The film revolves around a stock scam and co-stars Kim Min-jung (New Heart) and Park Hee-soon (Seven Days). (I know Park Yong-ha is the headliner in this cast, but I’m looking forward to more twisted badassery from Park Hee-soon, personally.)
Park describes his current situation as like a flood — “not to say that I’ve become a top star, but because I can continue working steadily like this without stopping.” He continues: “In the past, when I came upon a good project, I felt the ambition of needing to raise my profile, but now I think of maintaining this and enjoying the present to the full.”
His next drama begins filming soon; not much is said in the article other than its title, A Man’s Story. Meanwhile, The Scam releases in February; stills below.

Looking forward to his drama. Not so interested in the film ...the subject matter doesn't interest me .
I just don't like men wearing girly cardigans. Also the preppy look is so boring if you do it from top to bottom. He needs to add a little edge with some leather accessories or a cool hat. And I just don't care for turtlenecks on Asians. It's not the best look for us.

Yong Ha oppa looks a little bad in the pictures. maybe because i am so used to (and fond of) his rugged look he sported in "On Air" and "SOAM".
