Secret agent man Kang Ji-hwan

Kang Ji-hwan really is keeping busy, making the most of this productive and successful time in his career. (He did back-to-back dramas, shooting Capital Scandal before launching himself directly into the eight-month-long commitment with Hong Gil Dong, after which he kept active promoting his recent film with So Ji-sub, A Movie Is a Movie (aka Rough Cut), had a large-scale fanmeeting in Japan, and was recently cast in the upcoming Triple with Yoon Kye-sang and Lee Seon-kyun.)
Now he reunites with former co-star Kim Ha-neul as a danger-courting spy in Civil Servant Level 7, after previously playing cousins and lovers (yeah, I know) in the tearjerker melodrama 90 Days’ Time to Love. Apparently Kang took the role almost immediately after receiving the screenplay.
Known for being a perfectionist with his detailed, prepared character work, he now takes on double-duty in Civil Servant, ’cause he’s got two identities to juggle as a boring accountant who also happens to speak fluent Russian and act as a top-secret spy. Like Bond and Jason Bourne before him, he often handles missions alone (though he does work with Korea’s secret agent team); this mission concerns a biochemical weapon and Russian criminal organizations.
The movie, billed as an action romantic comedy, plans to start filming after its supporting cast is selected (likely mid-October).

I'll watch anything with Kang Ji-hwan except for 90 Days, which was a little too melodramatic for my tastes.
This new project sounds exciting.

I love myself a Kang Ji-won Drama,.... Movie, well anything with Kang Ji-won, but I agree with all4movies. I couldn't watch 90 days, because just the thought of that, is very disturbing. Other than that, I'm all eyes and ears.

An action romantic comedy sounds fun- almost like mr. and mrs. smith but maybe without the being married part. Despite being a rom-com, the role sounds challenging and I look forward to seeing Kang Ji Hwan perform it!

I love how all his roles are different. He's playing a figure skater in Triple, an actor who plays a gangster in Rough Cut and now a top secret spy in Civil Servant Level 7. It's refreshing. :)

I'm definately going to watch Triple. I've watched 5 eps of Hong gil and am still not much into it (*sighs* but I may change my mind), but I'm looking forward to A movie is a movie and this one. For one thing, I'm curious to see how fluent he really sounds in Russian. I know, I'm weird like that.

KJH & KHN in a action romance comedy, sounds great. i can't wait for this. i love KJH, he has really become so popular & has grabbed every opportunity. will this movie come out next year after Triple the drama has aired? i'm curious how long does it take for the movie to be released after filming in Korea? cause i think American films take 1 & 1/2 to 2 years.

Sounds good! I like action and romantic comedies, and Kang Ji Hwan makes the worst stuff seems at least plausible. And he's so dedicated!! His popularity is seriously deserved.
That being said... Take a break!! As much as we love you, we can't love you if you collapse from exertion. Very rarely do I say that stars work too hard... but your an exception.

He's 31 or 32 in korean age.he is best actor!since hong gil dong,ive watch several dramas of him such capital scandal,90 days falling in love,fireworks,be strong geum soon.m watch his acting ability on m is m with sjs.what a subtle actor.he could acting in whatever genre he played.cant wait his movie n drama 4 more.kjh rocks!

lol... i agree. I love KJH in all his dramas... I really wanted to watch 90 days falling in love.... but when I read the synopsis... well I just couldn't watch two cousins (esp. FIRST cousins) falling in love. Maybe cousin by marriage... meaning theirs no blood relation you know? But, anyways, it's hard to believe KJH is born in 1977.... =[ Sad that his soo much older than me... But he looks incredibly young for his age!!! Lol. I guess all the eye cream and the 5 - 7 moisturizers work for him! LOL!!! SIGH HE"S SO CUTE! And funny.
I believe his one of the best actors in Korea. HOTNESS! I hope Triple is as good as Capital Scandal. But, I dont think there are any greater drama than HONG GIL DONG!!! =]] For nows anyways...
