Bringing new meaning to the term dollface
by javabeans
Check it out: Lee Junki has his very own doll— er, action figure.
His likeness has been cast in these 60cm-tall figures, complete with all the major joints that bend and move freely. The company manufacturing the dolls has a line of celebrity-themed figures, and this is the first one featuring Lee Junki. A lot of celebrity dolls tend not to look much like the stars they’re fashioned after, but these are eerily similar to the real thing. (I did see a line of Song Seung Heon dolls once that looked uncannily like the real actor, though. Whatever methods these toymakers are using are making for lots of creepily similar mini-celebrity representations! It probably helps that Lee Junki has well-defined, pretty features to begin with.)
A limited run went on sale in Japan on the 20th; they’ll go on sale in Korea and internationally beginning in January.

The Asian Ball Jointed dolls are pretty pricey (and I'm one of those crazies that collects them, too!--the Korean manufacturers overall are my favorite) and Souldoll actually did a really nice job on him. Us gals figured out he was probably sold out -- but none of them could read Korean-- so this is pretty good news (that he's not released yet--they will be very happy to hear it!) Thanks !!!!
Yeah--he's a doll by the way--- the collectors will admit to this, and he's on the newest souldoll body that has a TON of posability--- so I'm surprised they posed him so stiffly. :)

Wow it looks too much like the girly side of him. I prefer the more manly, Time of Dog and Wolf look. I still want it though!

Does anyone else find the doll to be really creepy? It just looks really weird, and I don't think it looks that much like Lee Jun Ki.

This. is so. scary. Freaky. I worry for anyone who buys one of these things... no matter how devoted the fan, buying a doll of your idol is too strange.

Oh my god i just had a good laugh! Silly me...i didn't read the title of the post and so the first thing i saw were the first two pictures..i automatically thought the picture on the left was a girl that was somehow linked to Lee Jun Ki and thought to myself "omg, she has hideously large eyes! O.O"....and...then i realized it was a DOLL..of a MAN.. lol.
i'm sorry but dolls that look too much like a real person are just creepy to me...

Gosh, re-reading my comment above, I do sound like a pervy ajumma (not what I intended). I just meant that memories of Ken dolls popped into mind. The doll really does look like him, in an eery, creepy sort-of-way.

I like it!... I like the one in the suit. It's more of the manly junki i like and a definite look alike. The first dont come out to look like him at all, and it's way too femme. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me how does one from outside korea/japan get one? Thanks Much!

The dolls really look like JunKi. He's so cute and I only found out about him from watching MY GIRL. How much do the dolls cost and where can you buy them?

ha ha ha h a... i never like androgynous men too ... but junki got me hooked when i saw the king and the clown... i like it when he cried... plus i got this thing with men having deep voices and protruding adams apple...i thought he was way too cool with My Girl too... then there was TBWD... am gonna be a follower......
speaking about dolls... it creeps me out too but only if its as big as a 3feet walking doll... i guess it depends on the looks... i have just contemplated on buying this rag doll with real black shinny hair... and hey its real human hair they used on the doll... its supposed to look like a chinese doll... i wanted to buy it but when i learned its real human hair... it kinda freaked me out ... well see how junki turns out...
