Beanie level: The Goblin’s underpants

Doesn’t the writer decide the number if episodes according to the premise or does the channel? Well if its the writer then I guess they do know that they can give all answers in the episodes they decide but I think its the channel who decides the number because why would they still be pitiful that they couldn’t solve all the mysteries.

I don’t know, tbh. But since this is not a fully explored genre in kdrama, I doubt tvn would risk giving it the usual 16 episodes in case it flops. If it does well, then good, if not at least there are only 12 episodes. The budget doesn’t seem to be high either, and it’s not promoted as well as their other dramas. They don’t even post much on tvn’s social media sites about Circle the way they do for their other dramas.

I don’t know why most fantasy dramas like this kind tend to end up as open endings…sigh….but I still like such fantasy genre

I actually appreciate the open ending here. They have wrapped up the main storyline and gave me hope to go delusional for a season 2 😢 gave a nod to Byul’s origin, as much as their short amount of episodes would allow. 12 episodes is actually not enough for wrapping up the main storyline… I feel like they could’ve explored some plot points better with a little bit more episodes.

Who knows if there could be a season 2. I’m still hopeful~ 😭🙏

I actually went into the circle with the almost certainty that it’s going to have an open ending (most dramas in that genre do), but the story and the plot and the characterization and everything about the show blew me away. It’s an open ending I can live with because most of the major questions were answered. But I’ll be honest, I am willing to pray to every god available if I could be certain that they would bring me a season 2 of the show. Utterly fantastic work.

So true! All of them seem to have gotten along really well~! The bts vids and all those ig posts are really nice to see. Too bad Kikwang isn’t part of this rooftop scene 🙁 I don’t think he ever had any scene with Jingoo too.

Congratulations to Gong Seungyeon for being the first successful noona fan ❤️ Girl had the chance and she grabbed it! I am ever so proud 😢?

I am laughing so hard at this picture. Gong Seung Yeon is like those cardboard standee where we, hopeless fangirls stick our faces into the cut out.
That’s not all…Yeo Jin Goo is snuggling against hyungie like a puppy while GSY is clinging on to him like a koala 😍😍😍Obviously, the only one left out is the villain 😜

IKR! She’s soo relatable~♥ I’d probably not let go if it was me. And about YJG snuggling to his hyung, there are screenshots where he’s actually snuggling in. I love it!

Thanks, TVN, for giving Yeo Jingoo a happy ending this time. ♥ May this finally erase the bad taste of Potato Star\’s ending in my mouth. Nah, it won\’t. It\’s that bad.

What a great send off for all the characters, don’t you think?? 🙂

It truly is. They have wrapped it up the best way they could, and I’m thankful. I’m still heartbroken about what happened to Woojin by the end of Beta Project, but this drama has sent its message clearly well. It’s that you should live your life the way you believe you should.

And that fantastic parallel between the twin brothers where Bumgyun have his own body but not his memories, and Woojin with only his memories but not his own body.

I’m certainly looking forward to a season 2!

You always have the best insights! I didn’t even think of the body/memory connection between the twins like that. Love it!! 🙂

Unfortunately I can’t take credit for that comparison cos I also just read it somewhere on naver after Ep 11 ended. I was totally mind-blown when I read it though. ♥ And despite this show not bringing in the ratings, it’s got an amazing feedback, so that makes me really proud (even if I absolutely have no involvement in the making of that drama lol).

Ah, I didn’t notice that parallel….that makes me warm up a bit more with that clone plot line.

      Oh an open ending ?

Yes! I want a second season, but not the length of time it seems to take to get that done in k-drama land. Maybe they’ll throw us a bone and give us an epilogue? Yeah, who’m I kidding, right?

      1
      1

I totally would like to have more time with these characters! And I’m all for the Kim Kangwoo-Yeo Jingoo bromance! I’m so happy I got it! I hope if there will be a season 2, they will give this show more budget? I mean there’s totally potential in this drama to do so well. I’m quite sure there will be no epilogue T_T I mean Jingoo’s already about to set off for Reunited Worlds. But how awesome would that be?

        1
        2

An epilogue would be a great way to throw us a bone in the interim, should they choose to make a second season.

Also, WHAT. A. BROMANCE. I loved it!

Ep 11 is more emotionally-driven while Ep 12 is more focused on giving a resolution to the entire series.. So for Woojin’s 2022 picture, that was the year Woojin died so it was a clone? But without Woojin’s memories? Anyway, I’m glad it is a happy ending, although I wish it was longer… it’s just that the ending felt quite a bit hurried. Like everything just suddenly fell into place? But they only have 12 episodes to wrap the entire thing out so I do understand it. I think it’s best to watch Ep 11-12 together than separately.

Jingoo crying gives us 100% guarantee to make us sad. T_T

-SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS IF SOMEBODY ACCIDENTALLY READS THIS AND HASN’T SEEN EPISODE 11-

      – Screenshots from Ep 11… you know that: “Hyung, I’m scared.” T_____________T
      – lots of convos about what happened to Woojin and the heartbreaking thoughts that go with it…
      – THE HUG
      – THAT FINAL CONVO WITH WOOJIN AND BUMGYUN BEFORE WOOJIN DIED. “Don’t forget me.” UGH
      – Just typical things that reminds me of all the Ep 11 angst.

OMG OMG OMG! Is this real?

Someone mentioned it on naver talk and everyone’s like “tomorrow’s ep is 2 hours?!” but I haven’t seen any news about it.. so somebody might’ve just commented it and it got blown up. Gah, imagine if there are really 2 hours worth of ep. T_T

Yeah…we probably shouldn’t put much trust in it, if it was only a comment. BUT if it does happen to be true…I’ll call an ambulance in advance.

That: \”Alive~ alive~\” closing theme of Circle is such an irony because I\’m actually \”Dead~ dead~\” by the end of every episode.

Translated the top comments on one of the naver articles about the cast’s thoughts on Circle finale. While this show isn’t popular and not everyone’s cup of tea, I’m happy it’s sincerely loved 🙂

It isn’t just fun: IT’S AMAZING. I’ve loved this show from second #1 to the very end. I’m gonna binge-watch it, now that we’re fresh outta episodes. T^T

My Korean is really basic so I could be wrong, but tvN spells Circle 8/Circulate as 써클레이트 in their officially uploaded vid. Shouldn’t it be 써클에이트 for Circle 8 and 써큘레이트 so it can be Circulate?

1

Given the Hangul, shouldn’t it be Circle Rate or God forbid, Circle Late? Not that they make sense lol.

I wonder what it feels like to be in that embrace, look at those shoulders… I mean oh… this is sad, is Woojin saying goodbye?
