I know. There was one scene where he walked past granny’s shop as well but they didn’t see each other. Because I know what’s going to happen in the story I’m noticing more of the detail. 🙂

Park Hae-jin has just received an interesting message. Is it:
1 @azzo1 ‘s parents want to meet him or
2 he’s been asked to be on the new Seoulmates programme where non-Koreans stay with a kcelebrity

10
28

    😂❤

I texted him telling him that it’s time he meets my parents, or at least my mom (dad doesn’t know about him yet). First, I’ll let him win my mom’s heart and then I’ll let mom convince dad! He’s worried because.. well.. Park Azzo-jin but I told him they don’t know yet!

But if Oppa is going to be on that program then I’ll be applying, like right now!

    1
    3

@chingu says she’s going to apply to go on the show and she put some information on her wall about it. 🙂

      1
      1

Oh, she did? I’ll go check it out but is Oppa really going to be on this show?

        1
        1

It doesn’t say who’s on the show. I was just imagining. Sorry.

I feel bad now. 🙁 Does he live in Seoul? I was thinking about some of the houses and locations they use in the dramas and how it would be fun to visit them too. My daughter said the house with the stone dragons from Coffee Prince is a cafe. The school in Moorim School is a hotel.

            0

Aw, don’t please, I just got a little too excited, LOL!

Yes, it would be really fun but like your daughter said most of these houses aren’t really houses, they use studios too but it will still be nice to visit these places!

            1
            0

Yeah. It’s true they use different buildings for the exterior and the interior shots or film in the studio. Well obviously you’d stay with Oppa if you won but who else would you like to stay with if you could?

            1
            0

She’s not going anywhere. She’s stuck on that rooftop talking to the flowers and the laundry and the sky.

You know I never thought of that before but of I don’t stay with Oppa (my heart broke a little) I’d like to stay with Ji-soo, even though he’s only a few years younger than me, I always wanted to adopt him, but you know Oppa might not like that idea nor will Ji-soo’s parents, LOL! But I really love that kid and wanna be his Noona/mom!

Yes, that’s where I saw him for the first time, I loved how he called her Bang-weol Tomato, so cute!

            1
            0

No, no, he’s worried because you just texted him saying you’re up on top of that tree in front of his window and looking straight at him.

      3
      2

*glares* what tree? I’m on my rooftop and I don’t have trees here!

I’m watching the four part drama Naked Fireman. Of course you get some weird stuff when you search for that on Google!

I always put korean drama at the end of drama name (if the drama has provocative title) to avoid seeing some weird stuff, it helped sometimes

She’s probably laughing at my enthusiasm. The last band we watched together was Electric Six at the O2 in Islington!

Haha 😀 Have to admit I have no idea who Electric Six are. I’m so behind on Western music these days.

They’re a US band. I think they’ve been going for years. It was a good gig. Plenty of energy and they seemed to be enjoying themselves.

I’m not sure if I’m more excited about them or the venue haha, it’s like the perfect combo!

    1

I know. I’m really excited. Do you know Paris very well?

      1
      1

I’ve only been there once before, several years ago. I didn’t get to see Montmartre that time, so I’m pretty excited to see it, especially Sacre Ceour!

        1
        1

Plenty of things left to see then. Same for me really. I went to Sacre Coeur and I think it was the evening before All Saints so it was busy but atmospheric and when we came out it was already dark so you could look out over the lights of the city.

          1
          2

Sounds beautiful! I really want to explore Montmartre this time around 🙂

            1
            0

It wouldn’t have been dark if I hadn’t turned the wrong way coming out of the Metro. My friend was a bit pissed off with me because we went in totally the wrong direction and had to get back on the metro and go round again! I’m good on directions generally do she wouldn’t have challenged me. But actually when she was saying how she’d have to come back to see the view in the daylight I thought it was all quite magical at night. Heehee.

Absolutely! Do some sightseeing, do a little shopping, have some delicious food! If your time/schedule permits it, of course.

Now I want to go. Heh!

So… how is it? worth a watch?

    3

Yes. Definitely. The first part introduces the ship’s crew and their families and their normal patrol routine. The action scenes are quite graphic as you see their ship coming under attack.

I’ve managed to find somewhere to stay but I they seem suspicious so I’m moving on in the morning.

Randomly replying here about the FTI concert – I’m trying to figure out how to go to the Paris concert 😀 Are you gonna go? ^^

    1
    2

Hi @kaybee I don’t know if I can actually manage it because we are already doing quite a lot this Autumn but I’d like to go if possible. I think it would be great to see FT Island live. Is it on the Friday?

      1
      1

Yep it’s Friday 27th October 🙂 I’m definitely going no matter what, I’ve decided hehe, so now I’m just trying to rope someone in to take a weekend trip to Paris with me 😛

        0
        3

We arranged to go to Corsica with my brother in for a week in September and on a basket-making course in Ireland in November plus I have lots of large bills in the Autumn. So the timing isn’t great but I would definitely like to go (even though I’ll probably be the oldest person there). Maybe I can lure my daughter with promises of art galleries and shopping. I’ll let you know.

          1
          1

            Wow what a wonderful adventure-filled autumn! ^^

Lol don’t worry, if I can’t find a friend with the time/money to go, my mom will come along and we’ll have a mother-daughter trip, so at least there’s the possibility you wouldn’t be the oldest or at least not that much older 😛 Yes, do let me know! ^^

I’m having a bit of trouble with figuring out the ticket purchasing though. It’s all in French or it’s on a site called mymusictaste that I’m not too sure of. They want my phone number and everything, so I want to be sure they’re legit first.

            1
            0

That would be fun! I’ll investigate the tickets tomorrow and see if I can work it out – I’ll check with my neighbour if I’m not sure.

          1
          2

I think I figured it out, possibly. Elysee Montmartre seems to sell the tickets themselves too, so I’ll try and create an account there and be quick to buy tickets from there when it starts tomorrow morning 🙂 I’m so worried they’ll be sold out before I can make it, I’m even going to do the unprecented and set my alarm to wake me up an hour before haha.

            1
            0

Great minds think alike! I’ve managed to set up an account at Élysée Montmartre so I’ll try in the morning.

            1
            0

It looks like tickets will be on sale direct from the venue Élysée Montmartre from tomorrow morning so I’ll check on that too. 🙂

          1
          3

They do indeed! ^^ I just set up an account too! *crossing fingers and toes and praying everything with the purchase and all will go smoothly* 😀

            1
            0

I can’t get on the site, does it work for you?

            1
            0

With difficulty I’ve finally managed to get onto the actual site but I can’t get into the my account section. There is a phone number listed for ticket sales which opens at 10 so I suppose I could try that.

            1
            0

Hi @kaybee I hope you managed to buy some tickets. I finally managed to get on the site for Elysee Montmartre but couldn’t get into the account I’d set up. So I rang the ticket office number from the Contacts section and have bought two tickets that way. The assistant spoke very good English which was helpful as I’m not brilliant in French on the phone. Hope you were successful too. 🙂

      1
      2

Yay! Glad you managed to get them! I was finally able to get on the site, but it all took me awhile after that, since my French is, well, lacking haha. I ended up having to call up my dad who speaks French haha. But I got them!!! 😀 Woohoo!

        1
        1

Well done. I got the tickets into the cart ok but I couldn’t access the account I set up last night.

          1
          1

Ah yes, I had that problem as well. I kept trying to log in over and over again until it finally let me lol. I think their server went down due to heavy traffic. Probably lots of people trying to buy tickets at the same time.

            1
            0

Also, you’re not French? I seem to recall you saying you lived in France? (although obviously you can live in France and not be born there lol)

        1
        1

From the UK but in France at the moment. I studied French for a long time but the emphasis was much less on the spoken language at that time so I’m much better with written French. I would have been ok actually but she offered! I struggle a bit with the automated phone systems but they aren’t easy in English!

          1
          2

That sounds like me and German. It’s so much easier to read it than to speak it!
And yes, automated phone systems are often awfully hard to navigate even in your own language! Glad she could ease it for you and get you the tickets ^^

            1
            0

I learnt German too but only for two years but I’m actually more confident about talking to people even though my vocabulary is obviously limited. We had a native German teacher for the first year and she made us practice speaking. More how languages are taught now. But I although I studied French for about seven years it was almost exclusively translations and set literature texts and in those days the lessons were also conducted in English. It is amazing how language stays in your brain though. I think the new vocabulary I am acquiring now is stored in a slightly different section from the French I learnt when I was younger. Language is just so fascinating especially the etymology. I studied French, German, Latin and some Anglo-Saxon when I was at Uni. My daughter studied Spanish, French and some Japanese. So we are always wondering about the roots of words and checking them out. We’ve decided to learn Hangul next in the hope that we get to visit Korea!

Sun-woo has fully recovered his memories of being attacked by Jang-il (who had discovered his father’s involvement in the death of Sun-woo’s father). He is toying with Jang-il.

Dramas….are really, really, weird. Imagine saying this sentence to someone who’s not ever watched a drama before? I get why friends, family and co-workers look at me like I’ve taken leave of my sense when I describe something.

    What drama is this?

    3
    1

I know! It’s even worse than this but Sun-woo doesn’t know it all yet. It’s called Equator Man or The Man from the Equator. It’s the same director as White Christmas.

      3
      0

Oh yeah, he’s totally toying with Jang-il.

Has Jang-il seen Soo-mi’s wall of crazy?? (If I remember correctly, I think that’s what Heads called it. Heh!)

    7
    1

No but he saw the painting of the man (him) on the bridge at her exhibition preview so then he realised she must also have been there. Sun-woo doesn’t know that yet. It was shocking enough to watch it happening but then to find out someone saw it all and didn’t do anything about it. Same with her father!
