Right? What is going on? It seemed like every new set of dramas it was a given that there would be at least one drama that you would love. Now…its watch the mediocre, suffer through what you don’t really like just so that you’e watching something and hope that the next set of dramas arent disappointing.
Unpopular opinion: As much as I love Tae Won and Eun Ho together ( and I do quite a lot. They\’re basically all I watch these days) I feel like it is a bit unbalanced. Tae Woon is doing all the comforting and supporting and Eun Ho is on the receiving end all the time. I haven\’t watched 15&16 though so my opinion might change.
No, you’re right about that. I can’t remember which recap or fanwall post it was, but I was discussing this with some other Beanies. Unfortunately it’s endemic to Kdramas, the female characters are more often written as receivers rather than givers.
I don’t see her comforting as much, no, but I do see her challenging and encouraging him to mend relationships, pursue his dreams, etc. She’s also just there for him when he wants to be silent or talk, which can be just as important. To be frank, until this week, there wasn’t much he needed comfort for. The drama’s been written around her crises.
So while it can look unbalanced in the traditional romantic sense, I don’t think it is really. Unlike other romances in kdramas where I don’t see the female lead giving anything back.
Ugh I had forgotten how dangerous watching Age of Youth is for my wallet. The fashion style makes me stop the episode every 5 minutes and look for the outfits . 😅
I might be biased but at this point all I am waiting for is for them to grovel for every time they kicked our resident puppy. There better be a major reversal later on!

I started Father is strange because many people here seem to like it. Le Joon plays his character so sympathetically. He didn’t even meet (fake?) Dad yet but I already want to give him a hug ?

I feel like the story was a bit clunky. The premise is interesting and the acting is good. I just wish they make the plot and the character development smoother.
I hope they step up the bromance game soon. These flashbacks with their dead friend are so hearbreaking. But all they do these days is glare at eachother. 😔

Just finished binging the last episode of Broadchurch. In desperate need of the fluffiest show dramaverse has ever come up with to mend my shattered heart!
I only caught Broadchurch S1 and it was so good. However, I didn’t have time for S2 (ok ok I was too enamoured by kdrama then and it took up all my free time hehe) but now that I only have one kdrama on my plate, should I give Broadchurch S2 and S3 a chance? Is it as good as S1 or even better?
