Came across the interesting story of how Jang Dong-yoon came to be an actor.

I have been curious about this since he debuted at 25 which is older than the average acting debut age. Turns out he wasn\’t planning on acting, he graduated from university and even completed his military service (! I know, he has such a baby face and is so lanky this is hard to believe).

So back in 2015, he was in a convenience store one day and an armed robber broke in. He pretended to be on the phone with his friend and filed a police report. This witty solution got him on the news, and he got scouted by his current agency and debuted in 2016.

In short: we have a robber to thank for putting Dongyoon on our screens 😶

    Thank goodness he was able to get out of that situation safely! What a story. Wow. Thanks for sharing! I’m not watching School atm, but I can tell he’s a star on the rise and someone to watch. I also think he looks like a young Lee Je-hoon.

      Yes XD That’s actually how I found this funny article, because I was googling for whether Ryu Junyeol had completed MS, which led me to a list of actors who had completed their military service prior to their acting career.

Watching Yeo Jingu in Reunited Worlds reminded me of The Moon that Embraces the Sun, so I went back searching for one of my favourite scenes with him—the moment Hwon says his name.

This drama was far from perfect, but it says something that 5 years after watching it, some of these scenes remain clear as day in my memory.

      My cousin recommended it to me because she said my brother and I (we’re twins) reminded her of Mabel and Dipper! I love it but I’m really bad at catching up on shows in general (my Kdrama watching has greatly improved)

        Haha, were you able to spot the similarities in Mabel and Dipper? Honestly, I stopped watching after awhile, too. Never caught up with it, and now I think it’s completely over. Sadness.
        Oh yes, can never neglect my K-dramas.

          Yes, my brother is brainy like Dipper and always at the mercy of his sister’s zaniness ^^ I’m not boy-crazy like Mabel (unless Korean idols/ actors count then maybe just a little) but if you remember what happened in the episode Dipper sacrifices his chance with Wendy so Mabel gets her pig Waddles? That’s 100% me, and it’s totally something my brother would do for me.

Love the small town setting of Reunited Worlds. It’s a first episode worth checking out, it’s probably too early to say this but I’m already in love 🙈 (I’m sorry I screencapped when Yeo Jingoo was blinking, it’s the only one I took… but he still looks great ^^”)
