LOL! I surprised myself. I figured I would only check out one or two episodes a day.
Sometimes, I wish that I had been watching this show at the same time that the recaps were coming out. I think that I have a pretty decent understanding of what’s going on, but I know that the recaps can help to clear up some things. I plan on going back to a couple of recaps right now.
And yes, I have been keeping an eye out on the wall for your thoughts and possible spoilers. I guess the fact that you haven’t watched any more episodes at this point explains things, lol! 😉
I don’t understand a word, but the music is so enchanting! Thanks for sharing. ^^
Btw the comment section says it’s from Tarkovsky’s nostalgia! The photo looks hauntingly beautiful.
Yesterday, I watched the first two episodes of Rebel: Thief who Stole the People. What a strong, loving family. Of course, in K-drama fashion, familial happiness does not last forever. Such strong, emotional acting, especially from Kim Sang-joong. And I must say that the young Gil-dong is so cute. I love the little actor’s expressions.
I’ve watched until ep4 and then have to put it on hold (due to School 2017 and Tae Fever 😅), but I’m going to pick it up 😉 , Kim Sang-joong did a great job 🙂
I might make some posts per episode in the next days /weeks, just avoid them if you don’t want to get spoilers 😅 .
No problem! I already know some things that happen, so not everything will be a spoiler. 😉
I will try to watch at least an episode or two whenever I can. I am only watching one currently airing show at this point (Rescue Me), but I know that a new crop of dramas will be starting soon. I don’t want to be watching too much, lol!
Ohh me too! I watched 2 episodes in the beginning and had to stop when things went down super fast. I needed to get some sleep before I got hooked. I need to pick this up sometime next week after I finish Falsify.
I finally made the plunge and decided to start this drama. I heard so many good things about it. So far, I like what I see. I also love that the family unit that opens this drama does not belong to the upper class. We have a slave family at the heart of things, and from what I understand, there are no birth secrets. Adult Gil-dong even tells Yeonsangun at the beginning of the first episode that he is no nobleman’s son. That makes me happy, lol.
As I am only watching one other drama right now (I dropped Reunited Worlds), I will try to make the most of the time available to me. 😉
I checked out some bilingual Korean/English children\’s books! I haven\’t studied Korean in a while, but I thought it would be good practice. I might look over some YouTube videos. I won’t go back into studying it seriously at this point, but I do want to try to improve my pronunciation. I also picked up a Korean tale translated into Spanish.
The Servant (2010). I bought the DVD a couple of years ago. Of course, the disk had to be defective at the pivotal moment. LOL. I’ll have to watch that scene online, if I can.
I love that book though I haven’t seen any of the movies. Everyone sees it as a tragic love story, but they honestly all had it coming. They were horrible people. I like the ending though with the do-over for the next generation though. 🙂
The book was so difficult to get through because of how horrible they were. It was almost like psychological torture. I constantly wondered where the author would have gotten material for her story from… and I hoped it was not personal experience.
Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if the KBS documentary series, Screening Humanity, is still airing? I haven\’t seen any episodes in a long while.
Hello, fellow Beanies. I have asked a similar question in the past, but I thought I would ask it again. Do any Beanies here actually buy DVDs of their favorite dramas? If so, may I ask where you buy them? I used to buy DVDs from YA Entertainment (now no longer around) via Amazon. I know that there are sites like YesAsia, but their items are a bit pricey and I’m not sure about product quality. I’m not a big techy person and have never downloaded dramas. Additionally, while I would like to re-watch and catch up to a few dramas, I do not like to spend too much time looking at a computer screen (I spend enough time already, especially at my job). My eyes are already bad, and the experience isn’t always the most enjoyable since I probably have the worst internet connection in the world. I also think some of these drama sites have made my computer slower, despite my current Ant-virus protection. LOL! I do make do with what I have, but I’m just wondering if there are any Beanies out there like me. Any suggestions? Thanks!
I just took an internet speed test, but I’m not sure how these results compare to other internet providers. I’ll share my results with you. Download speed: 28.35 Mbps and upload speed: 5.98 Mbps.
Sure, you can send me the screen shot. Thanks for the info. I do not know if I’ll be downloading anything at this point, but it’s always good to have this information at hand. Thanks again! 🙂
