I am going to be a little mean & I may get haters: I wish that Shin Dong Wook was the one who played Young Kwang’s character in Lookout. I liked Young Kwang in other dramas but I’m not feeling it here
I have not seen young kwang in anything else, so I think he is ok. But I don’t like his hairstyle at all, it feels like he has two horns, lol. But, i agree, it’s a grey character so, a better actor would be able to show all his inner struggles better. At times, I feel like he is overdoing it too. Right now, I am able to overlook it.
Yes, I feel like he’s a little too over the top slick and actually it’s turning me off so much that I don’t think I’ll continue until it’s either half way done or finished.
I don’t think you’ll get haters. I haven’t seen Shin Dongwook in Lookout, so I can’t compare KYK and his acting skills, but for many people, they were iffy about Lookout because KYK was the main lead.
I wasn’t on his side or against him in the casting stages but after seeing the first episodes, I didn’t like him at all, and I wish that somebody else , and i don’t want to sound ageist here since Young Kwang is dong-gap with me, but somebody a little older would have brought out different colours to the arrogant, ambitious person Do Ha happens to be. Right now the character is just unlikable to me. so as I said, i’ll wait till it’s more advanced and recheck my stance. Maybe i’ll bite my tongue and retract what I’ve said.
Also did the police chief say “find your siblings???!!” Dang it There are way too many good dramas 🙁 What am I going to do??? My thesis needs to get done! Ottoke?!
Yep, the term used was 형제 which means brother… It could either be plural or singular, but I think based on the context it was used in the scene, it’s singular.
Like KJH was born after the dad left? Because KJH is exactly the same age as the twins. According to their character descriptions, he is 41 years old in 2037 and the twins are 21 years old in 2017.
Circle- Reminds me a little of why I liked the x-files, and books like A brave New World, where I loved the “savages” who were normal people & about history and didn’t think it “bunk.” … also twins!
They are cute!! I love that they’ve known each other since their bedwetting days & that Dong Man was the weakling baby of the group. When lil’ Dong Man said that he wouldn’t marry her I just laughed!
Me too. I purposely came into the show blind and with little expectations because of my slight dislike of Park Seo-joon, but his chemistry with Kim Ji-won is so cute. Their friendship is amazing and this story just makes me feel really good in general. I’m glad I decided to watch it.
I don’t have a dislike for PSJ in fact I’m quite his fangirl… but I also didn’t watch any previews for any of the new dramas because I didn’t really want to be suckered in… and then I end up suckered in for 2 out of 3 >_<
This was worth the hour that I spent watching. I was a little bored before, but as soon as they were talking and there was less meanness in their banter I fell in love with their characters.
Actually I like how they sometimes just snap at each other. Maybe because I have some similar friends. But they usually care a lot and loyal. So I approve this bickering couple.
Yes, and I’m so glad he reached out to Sun Jae and his dad and is actually a big part of Sun Jae’s upbringing. Sun Jae will probably become a detective just like his idol Kwangho XD. I’m thinking Kwangho is also trying to also keep an eye on Sun Jae as he grows up so that he doesn’t go hitting on his Yeonho jajaja.
This part really made me cry. Because if KH made it back, he would change things and so while they are the same people their experience would change and make them different people after all.
And Sun-jae trying to look suave and manly in front Jae-yi is just pure gold. He leaped out of his seat so fast the moment she entered the room and tried to strike a cool pose.
Yeah, I got kinda annoyed with the other characters, who were trying to tell them to act a certain way. Playing those push and pull games is just so tiring. I hope they just stay true to themselves, respect each other and try to make each other happy. They started of very well at least 🙂
I love this new trend of straightforward couple. (Especially since I’m not one who can play that push-and-pull game) Both Do Bong-soon and Chicago are great on this romance front.
I’m watching a J-drama for the 1st time in years. It’s called Reverse, It’s certainly keeping me on my toes and each episode make me rethink my theories! I can’t decide who is innocent or guilty >_<
As soon as he came on the screen, I knew where it was going. It’s possible that he is the killer, but it’s too soon for him to be revealed. Although the killer in I Remember You was introduced quite early as well.
But recently creepy character are played by handsome oppa and they play it in realistic manner too…..not just “flower vase”…. Can’t judge a book by its cover…
So many good moments today in SP!! love love Ji Wookie being all pouty and swoony at the same time and Eunhyuk carries out one of my most favourite petty revenge moves ever today!!
He looks so depressed, if he were my patient I’d want him to get counseling, and a complete psych evaluation. Depression is no joke and people around Ji Wook aren’t really helping.
Just playing the devil’s advocate here but he kind of told all his new attorney colleagues that he hates attorneys….I would maybe also feel like I’m not welcome in his social circle if I were them. 😅
I’ve wondered about his family life after his father passed away. He was quite young, and it’s possible that his mother also died at a young age. CEO Byun seems to hold some sort of close relationship, almost like a father figure to JW. But what was his life like after his father passed away (and maybe before Eunhyuk came into his life). He does seem to be quite rigid and has his own set of rules that he appears to adhere to. His social skills are not the greatest – it’s almost like he never learned social graces like a ‘normal’ child.

The translation should actually just be: “Find your brother.” Which is to imply that Kim Joonhyuk is either one of the twins. 🙂
