i’m having a hard time connecting to criminal minds in any emotional way..it’s missing something..don’t know what yet. i’ll watch the second episode to decide.

    I guess it’s because the 1st episode had such a fast pace…before the emotion of one scene sink there are too many other scenes… I watched it twice… it was really better in 2nd watch

    The directing and camera-work felt clunky, and the acting felt awkward at times. I’m having a hard time getting absorbed by the show.

      exactly! i wasnt going to comment on the acting because i thought maybe i’m just too tired and am missing something…but based on the actors the show has..i expected mind blowing, in depth acting but sadly…what i got felt a little bit bland. Am gonna watch the second episode to decide how i feel about the show.

        Moon Chae-won is especially disappointing (the perpetually dour, sort of half-angry expression doesn’t help), but Jun-ki and the profiler ahjusshi have their awkward moments too.

        I also dislike the way that shot the profilers’ exposition scenes. They look like a bunch of weather reporters.

        I also feel that some of the dialogue is supposed to carry weight that I don’t feel the show has earned yet. Like MCW’s “screaming” line when she tries to persuade the ahjusshi to get back to work. It’s supposed to be meaningful but it feels hollow.

          I agree with both of you. Episode one lack emotional depth, both in acting and directing category…the main things that I liked so far was LJG and MCW bickering relationship and ahjusshi and his wife lovely relationship

The number of times i\’ve watched that manhole teaser is getting ridiculous..it\’s just so entertaining and their serious faces makes it funnier. i will definitely give the first episode a try.

        Try Super Family 2017 – it’s sitcom with 40 epi (30 min each epi). I am watching it atm. It is fun and still has the heart.

        History of Salaryman is also a fun show. I’m thinking to rewatch it.

No hate here…but why is fight my way cast getting a reward vacation? Their highest rating so far has been 13.0 right? I thought vacations were for higher ratings or does KBS do things differently?😃

    Maybe because it is a sleeper hit? This is second KBS drama after Chief Kim which get double digits (as far as I recall).

    This is the only drama that has been getting both high buzz (it recently topped the Content Power Index) and (relatively) high ratings. I suppose KBS considers FMW a huge success given the low viewership for all recent and currently airing dramas.

    I thought 13 was pretty high these days? Even weekend family dramas barely break 30 anymore. The drama ratings report Dramabeans puts out has only Ruler getting higher.

    I’m guessing pretty much at least from the end of DOTS, so give or take 1 1/2 years? I noticed Korean stars tend to marry anywhere between 6 months to two years of dating but they do get married a lot older than their not famous counter parts so I’m sure they know what they want by then. I bet all those fan girls who were told they were crazy are feeling quite smug right now lol

    Not only do they get married a little older than most do, but it also ties into their very traditional culture of ‘once you date, you go until the end’, ‘the end’, meaning, marriage and beyond 🙂 Song Hye Gyo has had her share of –public–relationships and break-ups (first, Lee Byung Hun, then Hyun Bin) so for sure she knows what she wants; And of course, Song Joong Ki seems like a man who acts upon things and says things very intentionally and is very meticulous and serious about all his decisions… I believe that is why this couple decided to let the news hit the airwaves only after they’re engaged and not when they were still in the dating stages

NJH is awkward in this role but habaek is just hilarious..am interested in him..besides when that scene with the smiling pig came on..i knew i was gonna be watching ep 2😂😂😂😂

      I would have just loved her to play a significant badass role…am not sure if i want her to play HG tho…everytime i see HG..i remember how sun’s father died..i’m not a fan..she does a lot of things..true but my moral bell keeps ringing everytime i see her. not to mention her obsession with someone she met just once was a complete turn off.

the reviews for kim soo hyun\’s new movie \”real\” are really bad..i heard he really worked hard for the role both in acting and financially..i hope he stays strong and comes back with a nice drama

      I read that he may do one more work before army, he is enrolling next year right? But he probably needs to do one to save his reputation. So maybe we will see him on screen, fingers crossed ?.

        His enlistment date is not set yet, and I think he might start looking over scripts for a new prject after he finishes doing promotions for “Real”. His wish is to do one more drama before he enlists, but I think he will be going over offers for, both, drama and movies for his next possible project…
        I don’t think there is anything he needs to do to save his reputation, really… Everyone will have at least 1 really good and memorable project that all fans will remember them for ( he has a couple already) and at least 1 project that does not do so good, but I think it is too difficult to say whether or not that ‘not so good’ project for Kim Soo Hyun is “Real”

          I definitely hope that he does take a role in drama, it has been so long. But while he does have many good projects behind him, Real from what I am reading in the reviews is more than not good, it is a total disaster (he has even stopped promotions for it due to public reaction) and the fact is that he was so tied to it, he worked on it for 2 years and his relative was the director and expectations were high. For him, it is either army or mega hit (he probably needs a Kim Eun Sook drama as much as Lee Byung Hee now) to salvage his reputation.

            I don’t think it necessarily has to be a Kim Eun Sook drama that can help “salvage his reputation”. I believe that he has made his name big enough that, sure his movie isn’t doing so well, but because of that, the fans are anticipating even more for his comeback after “Real” and will watch anything he will choose to be in, regardless if it is a Kim Eun Sook drama… Lee Byung Hun* is different: the guy messed up his personal life, and in Korean standards, if you mess up something in your personal life that is made public, it’s either ‘go to the army to serve our country to save your reputation’, lay low for a while, or choose a super anticipated upcoming drama/movie to save your reputation…LBH is choosing the 3rd option

      right?!!!! i even replayed the scene to be sure!!…i haven’t felt this way towards an ahjussi in a drama for while…whenever i see shi-mok with his clueless..child-like eyes..i wanna just hug him.

    His little smile totally melted me. For a serious drama, this totally made me feel all sorts of FEELS! Yeo-jin is right, I think somewhere inside of Shi-mok’s brain, he’s capable of feeling despite the surgery. I think he’s been restraining himself instead.

      yes…thats what i think too…i think he believed what people around him were saying about him becoming an emotionless monster after the surgery and assumed that he can no longer feel, thereby restraining himself…but i hope he realizes that that’s not true because he definitely smiled in that scene…i made sure of it…haha
