Y’know, from the start, I had a feeling that Hwa-goon and Lee Sun would end up sacrificing their lives in one way or another, so I thought I wouldn’t be surprised, but this was just too sad. Same with Hwa-goon’s death, though. That ending where Sun envisioned them there at the ceremony was a nice touch.
Nado. Bec “there can’t be two suns and two moons in the sky” hah! I got that fr a diff sageuk! But yes they still gotta have a cameo at the ending scene so the actors can take a group pic lol. Kidding aside, yes it was touching. I was just surpised Nany and Kkomol were in the side doors and I thought for a moment they were ghosts as well! Haha.
Moon Sun! Haha. Oh pfft! What a shame they can’t all just live happily together. My heart breaks!
Aha, omg, you’re right! They were just looking from the (out)side. Aw. They should’ve been inside where the party was at. Haha.
EVERY TIME he remembers the moment Ga-eun drew his name in the sand and explained the meaning behind it, it just gets me EVERY TIME. So needless to say, his last words to her were beautiful and sad. He didn’t have to go, man.
Yeah, I choked up here, too. FOR DAE-MOK! Can you believe it? My goodness. I really liked his line, “I wish I had a king like you a little sooner.” Gah. That was surprisingly really poignant. Kudos to the actor and the writer for making me feel sad for an evil megalomaniac.
I knoooow! I was surpised that I was teary and even empathic with Daemok. I wish there was more insight early on his backstory so he wouldn’t come off completely as devil incarnate.
Yeah, that would’ve been nice, but it’s okay, because we’re supposed to NOT like him. Haha. That little glimpse of his past where he lost his wife was definitely impactful to remind me that he wasn’t always like that. He just gradually grew greedy for power and unfortunately became a monster. So so sad that he made his family leave him and ended up all alone.
