Just finished ep 1 of 7DQ. Hope there’s more bromance. Hope that young Yeok can move his older brother’s heart. They were so sweet when they were young!
Looking for a drama to watch. Seeing all the buzz for Seven Day Queen, I’m wondering if this is the one. But I don’t really like melo dramas…. Does this show really have a sad ending? Or is there a positive twist?
I would classify it as a bittersweet ending. I don’t like the melo genre myself and hate the possibility of unhappy endings but I am so glad I gave this show a chance as their love story moved me deeply. The acting, especially the three leads, is excellent, the cinematography is beautiful, the OST is wonderful and the writing is top-notch.
Give it a try. A warning though – you may fall under its spell, like most of the beanies here 😉
Thank you for the reply! I usually refrain from watching sad dramas but I just keep seeing beanies commenting about it and needed a reassurance that I am not starting something I will regret.
which drama is this from?
seeing this guy in all these cute GIFs makes me wanna watch one of his dramas ASAP
I haven’t seen Yoo Shi Yoon in anything yet…
yeah he seems adorable…loading up Flower Boy Next Door on my queue to watch this month 😀 and will add The Best Hit to my list as well but I could def watch another Park Shyn Hye drama
They are in the drama. You just have to listen to them carefully, because like the drama, the songs are also very subtle when they are played in the background.
FoS ep 1, enjoying it so far. One question I have though, towards the end, the chief gave our main character some money for food, why did he accept it and why did he give half the sum back?
In the previous scene, the Chief subtly chastising Shi-mok for trying to uproot all the corruptions happened in their office. And that he should let the case go since they already caught the culprit. But Shi-mok knew there is something more about this murder case. So I think him giving back half of the money is his passive-aggressive way to show the Chief that he will pursue the truth no matter what happen and he won’t let his superior dictate what he should do. After all, I think that gesture is quite insulting.
Thanks for the reply! I was also thinking it might be to insult him but I didn’t understand why he just gave back only half and not all and thought perhaps there was some Korean culture in there or something.
I also asked myself the same question, @mel and came to the same conclusion as @gadis. Also, I think that overall, it might considered normal for your boss to pay for your meal (once in a blue moon) in Korea, and so I figured he gave back half of the money to make a point and kept the rest because, hey, a man’s gotta eat! lol
Can\’t believe its going to be a new month already! Looking at the side bars of dramabeans made me realize time fly by so fast! Its a whole new round of Kdramas again!
Seeing Jung Hae In I wondered who he played in Goblin and I remembered he was Eun Tak’s Oppa XDD Yang Se Jong is the most premising since he already proved his acting chops in Duel. He made me a forever fan of his. Jang Dong Yoon is shaping up to a rising star. I hope his next role will not be a high schooler it would be nice to see him change. I quite liked Lee Seo Won in TLAHL but we need to see more of him. I hope his character in Hospital Ship will be good. Kim Min Jae is approving I want to see him in a sageuk since his parts in Goblin were good. Gong Myung Nam Joo Hyuk and Seo Kang Joon do puppies in love really well but need more practice. When their characters match them they nail it but otherwise they can be stiff and not emote very well. Ahn Hyo Seop is more of an eye-candy and is wooden. I don’t have a clear opinion about Song Kang so I’m waiting for his next drama.
Duel: Although the ride wasn\’t as smooth as could be, but I think I will forever miss Sung Joon and Sung Hoon. Cheers to Yang Se Jong\’s stellar performance!! It was fantastic!
why didi they have to kill Sung Hoonnnn?????? Whyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!! I wanted to see him and Sung Joon reunite and live happily ever after! Why??? whyyyyyy!!!!
