Beanie level: Eunuch in drag

Today’s daily LJS pic, and just pretend I made some witty commentary about it! You’re mostly here for the picture, anyway. I know I am. ^^

Had a photoshoot yesterday, but if they come out looking good it’s all thanks to the photographer, not me. And then there’s LJS, who looks good in anything, even if looks like a table cloth.

LJS could walk around in a potato sack and it would look like haute couture on him. He is just ridiculously handsome. My theory is that God put him on this earth to make everybody else look bad or hate themselves. I accepted my fate and now I just can’t stop starring at him 😉 Love him so much even in a table cloth.

I guess that´s why he was a model before.

Ok, found it. Still love it.

I was wondering how the full song sounded! Thanks for finding this.

Ok, I don’t know what the song is they play at the end/beginning/intense-epic parts of Lookout is. but I love it. So much.

I’ve been digging the whole soundtrack so far. It’s been both good and fitting as well as appropriately evocative.

So, my feelings on the song itself are neutral, it was pretty good–but I was highly entertained by all the cacti enshrined in their own lantern cases. Literal Metaphor=level up. Ace, fighting!

I was really looking forward to their debut. When that 80’s synth/Sailor Moon music, I started to get really interested. But then the beat kind of kept building and it just ending up being too in your face for the rest of the song. It’s still in my playlist, but more as a hype song than just something I’d listen to everyday.

While IHYV may have been made first, the first drama I saw LJS in was Pinocchio, so it will always have a special place in my heart. Yes, even that wig grew on me after a few episodes. A bit. Maybe.

He is adorable in that wig XD. I loved his character in Pinocchio and I still really like the show.

It’s a weeeird moment when you realize the minor role baddie in this episode of Man to Man was the Flower Cannibal Killer No. 2 in Love Me If You Dare.

wut….? lol Not just drama worlds colliding, but drama worlds colliding internationally?

seriously. Especially since the actor speaks English really well, in LMiYD he played an American and in this he played a Russian. It’s fantastic. ^^

Ooooh riiiight!! He was the only other person who spoke non-accent (to us North Americans) English in “LMIYD” XD

I know I’ve done something right when I arrive home from work to screams of “no, Hyun-ji!! You can’t leave him!” and “Stupid monk, breaking them up!” Yes, I did start them on Let’s Fight Ghost.

Watching Lookout makes me want to do epic things with my life. So glad I started it!

This looks like his Dr. Stranger hair. Sometimes, I want to watch Dr. Stranger because of that hairstyle. ^^ Plus, I’ve had two friends say they really liked it. … Do I risk it?

3
5

Nope. Better try his other dramas like Pinocchio, I Hear Your Voice or W.

I tried really hard but I couldn’t finish it.

I finished it. That’s the best thing I can say about the show. That and his hair and his acting and his chemistry with Kang So Ra and Park Hae Jin.

Oh so I just realized I had a lot of good things to say about the show.

    But seriously the story sucked!

If anything, you should read the recaps. They got more and more hilarious because the recapper was just done with the show midway through.

If you watch the second half as if it’s a comedy (which it might as well be), it’s much more tolerable. That’s how I powered through! 😛

Sometimes, you wonder if staying up until… the wee hours of the morning to watch more drama is worth it. Then you hit “next episode”. I’m gonna go take a nap. ^^

I promise I didn’t actually forget my LJS picture, just been busy driving all day, with a 3hr break during which I took my Chinese midterm (not too hard, just looooong… like LJS’ legs ;))

Any other beanies watching/have watched Behind Your Smile? Potentially my new favorite Chinese drama. ^^ It’s well acted, funny, and I love the music. ^^

I haven’t, but I’m thinking about trying it. The premises, about him being immortal, sounded interesting. So you would recommend it?

yeeesssss…. but he’s not immortal. That I know of, at least. And I’m on episode 8… He’s just super out for revenge.

I started it but I couldn’t stand the female lead. I didn’t find her innocent and pure but dumb and boring so I stopped the drama! Of course, that’s only my opinion!
But the music is amazing to me!

    2

I also agree the female lead is so boring 🙁

      1
      1

To each their own, I guess! She’s definitely not the sharpest heroine I’ve seen on the screen, but I don’t mind it since it’s not in her character description. The only time that can bug me is if they’re described as being smart… and then for whatever reason totally aren’t.

Ohhh I watched this. It’s super melodramatic, which isn’t usually my jam, but I loved it so much. I really enjoyed it, even though the ending was a tad rushed. Listening to the song “Don’t Panic” from the soundtrack right now, in fact!

I didn’t like the female and male lead’s acting. It just seemed so bad. I didn’t finish the drama and skimmed the ending when the last episode came out.

This was good… I finished it… And the synopsis is a mess everywhere….

    0
    0

I finished it, not a fan of the main girl just because she’s so simple minded, though i guess that’s why they loved her, lol her nickname 50% was funny because I found her missing 50% of street smarts that is needed to survive in the world. As for the actor, I’ve liked Marcus since I saw him in Back to 1989 (for which I’m crossing my fingers for a sequel!!) and it was great seeing how torn he was between revenge and love, and I’m so glad he chose love. I was first roped in because of that bogus summary of eternal life thing but I soon saw it was fake but still watched it, but since it’s only once a week there were weeks I totally forgot it and came back to marathon a few at a time.

Man, I need to get on pinterest more often… I’m missing out on all sorts of LJS photos by not going! (No, that’s not all I get on my feed. I’m not totally crazy… yet.)

My LJS board on Pinterest is full of such wonderful photos! It really is an awesome place to find new as well as old photos..

There’s kdrama-related stuff on pinterest? *clueless tone* ….. I had no idea. I guess this is what happens when you’re like, one of three people in the world who’s not on pinterest.

I should visit other websites more often. …. When I have some free time. ….. Oh. Wait. What free time? I’m kdrama-watching during free time! 😃

In don’t know if my presentation in Chinese went over well today or not, but I managed to get a slide of W2W pictures in at the end, so I consider it a personal success at least. ^^

Today, I am a pirate. A Chinese speaking, Korean Drama watching, Thai fishermen pants wearing pirate.

I. Am. Spartacus. It may be excruciating to write seven pages of Chinese on that grid paper that makes you erase entire lines if you realize you miss a character, but it sure feels good in the end.

Have to give a shout out to @Jrr for introducing me to Sodagreen. They’ve taken over my playlist. ^^ Thanks!!

“It’s morning, everyone! Today’s the day! The sun is shining, the tank is clean, and we’re getting out of… The tank is clean. The tank is clean!” ~Finding Nemo (no reason, just a good morning quote)
