2) Why was the guy in the beginning given a red card by F4, and why, during the rest of the drama, no one else after Jan-di (to my memory) given a card???
5) I realize I probably get my drama addiction from my mother who has a soap opera addiction (which came from her mother’s soap opera addiction). I grew up watching soaps with my mom, but stopped watching in middle school when I started spending a lot more time away from home. I found kdramas in my third year of college, and they strangely felt familiar… I now see why!
This is me…I would talk about All My Children and General Hospital with my 4th grade girlfriend after watching it with my mom. We were soap opera sisters because all the other girls watched young and the restless/bold and the beautiful with their moms! And thank goodness I didn’t find kdramas until after I had a career because I’d be useless right about now! And don’t get me started in DB! This place was made for me. I doubt I’ll ever watch BOF though. I tried, I really did, but that first episode was cruel and heartless and the overacting was too cringeworthy for me. I’m so picky about dramas, so I had to drop it! I’m reading all the beanie posts though, and feel like I’ve seen it now. Does that count?
I can understand choosing not to watch BOF. I am re-watching for now out of curiosity, but probably will drop it before finishing it. It was a drama that I could stand in the past, even though I saw the flaws, I overlooked them. It almost is like going through my old things and finding the fake plastic jewelry I wore as a kid, I loved it then, but it just seems silly compared to the jewelry I wear now.
6) I have super fond memories of watching this show, and on every commercial break on the streaming site I was using, jumping to DramaBeans to read the recap of what I just watched while commercials rolled.
7) In hindsight, I feel like I owe this site, Big Time. I came across this site trying to find a song, finding a Coffee Prince recap instead, watching that, following it up with Boys Over Flowers, Secret Garden, and then realizing I needed kdrama in my life. (The rest is history)

After re-watching Boys Over Flowers episode 1, I have several comments!

1) Was the lighting always so blown out? Was the acting always so… much? Was the editing really that choppy?

3) I don’t remember Jan-di having any friends… Which now is a major problem to me…

4) I am glad I erased several things from my mind including: the awkward English, and Jan-di’s mother’s desperation to marry her off to a rich dude…
