So, these are some I saw: I’m still confused about how Woo Jin’s memories are being accessed. How does that star actually work? Had he been implanted with something at birth? There’s a theory that he’s actually a clone of Bum Gyun. (Not one I’d subscribe to, but it would be a fun twist.) Maybe human b has been behind the scenes since the boys were infants? Also, there’s still no traction of where the alien came from or if she’s really an alien. Also, who’s the new guy? Introducing a new villian a week before the finale? Where’s that story arc going? How could Bluebird plant a virus in Ho Soo’s chip so quickly and what was the purpose ultimately, when the chairman was on to their plan and already had a team of people to meet them? And really, that person gaurding her was wholey inept! A lot of just standing around and looking worried by the Chaiman. Lots of loose strings to tie up in 2 episodes and we still haven’t seen Woo Jin in 2037. Gotta admit, I was a little disappointed this week.
And I don’t want, “It’s alien technology, it just works that way, so just accept it,” as the reason Woo Jin’s memories have been uploaded. And how is it supposed to let him see his mother? Does is also access rudiments of memory? Ahhh. Too many questions, so little time!
To answer part one of your many questions: he would be able to see his mother by accessing his memory. So he would have access to a point in time when he was very young and she was still around. He doesn’t actively remember her, but going by show logic, that information is still stored in his brain. In theory then, I would assume he could watch his whole life as a movie – the longest movie ever (I did the math, it works out to 175,200 hours 😳).
I have a feeling that her origin will never be answered. Just as we will probably never know what happened to normal earth to make it so post apocalyptic – I mean there was a freaking crater in the middle of the street. I know we have a climate problem, but that escalated real quickly.
Yes, I am afraid of that. It would be nice to see him remembering his mom and what happened to her and the dad for that matter. However, I think professor park’s enigmatic statement to professor Han about “not ending up dead like [dad’s name]” is what we’ll have to be satisfied with for the latter. *frustrated sigh*
I too have complaints though different from you. But I can understand your frustrations- I just assumed that Byul had found a way to access Woo Jin’s memories “wirelessly” without a chip- and I assumed it was “alien technology” 😂
I sadly think not all our questions are going to be answered next week. Especially since they seem to be adding more loose ends still! 😱
Fingers crossed for a good mind blowing ending that doesn’t involve sharp objects being hurled at my computer screen!
I had so many thoughts I blogged about it. Link up soon. But I shall put my grouses below.
Like @ally-le I had quite a few complaints though slightly different:
In 2017:
Why are the police so bloody incompetent? From the attempted kidnapping of Byul- seriously did no one notice the license plate of Prof Han, or think to bring her to the police station??
Or the fact that it isn’t that easy to steal someone from hospital honestly- you can’t just waltz in and drug people and drag them off to the basement and drive away. Really. Also, the allegiance switch from Prof Han to Park by Human B seemed a bit too convenient- how would they know if he was lying, or even that he was trustworthy in the first place?
In 2037:
Ho Soo is clearly the smartest of the 3 of them- because he came up with this brilliant plan to get Jung Yeon and Joon Hyuk into Human B, told them the floor level, and then… Joon Hyuk and Jung Yeon had no plan except to get caught. 😒 I was extremely cheesed off as I was expecting better from the Writer, and I wanted to see the 2 of them kick ass. And also, Jung Yeon seems to have suddenly become much less competent- wasn’t she the one who previously could cause blackouts and who has evaded Human B capture for so many years?
Why the big secret of who is the chairman of Human B? Conflict of interest since he is also Minister? I didn’t get the whole point of the big subterfuge except that it was exciting to us I suppose since we were misled that it could have been Woo Jin. And what’s up with the photo? Is there any significance to that being stored in the Human B computers? On that same note, I do hope that the person walking down the stairs to meet Joon Hyuk is really Woo Jin because I’m getting a bit tired of this seemingly endless chase and bluffs by the writer as to where Woo Jin is. First it was the Chairman, then it was Prof Han- I don’t think I’d want another fake out. Unless it truly made sense and could really Blow My Mind.
Finally I’m not sure what to feel about the introduction of a new complication this late into the game- cloning?? As if the writer didn’t have enough to deal with? Now you are adding in another loose end? I’m genuinely worried now the writer may not be able to deliver next week.
All true too! I was trying to elucidate the last episode to my husband last night because he went to bed before the end and I realized nothing really happened. It turned out like this… 1st timeline, Woo Jin and Byul rescue his brother who is about to be kidnapped by human b (whose henchmen are also pretty incompetent) and Woo Jin gets tricked by professor park, but he does get the flashdrive from g-ma which has his dad’s last statements and probably the research? 2nd time line, ho soo has an idea to get them into human b to find Woo Jin, but they get caught anyway, then the whole system goes offline and they get away again, and we think they see Woo Jin walking down the stairwell, but we’re not sure. His response, sounds like I didn’t miss anything. Lol!

Omo. Circle you never cease to keep me on my toes.
But I’m starting to notice plot holes… Writer Nim have you bitten off more than you can chew? I want a mind blowing ending! And not in a WTF way!
