Team Dramabeans: What we’re watching

We’ve made it to the weekend! We hope there’s some well-deserved rest and relaxation on your calendars, with plenty of time for catching up on dramas, of course. I didn’t intend to watch as many dramas as I’m currently watching, but there were new shows, and I have yet to drop anything, so I guess I’m just that crazy person watching eleventy million dramas at the moment. At least I’m in good company? –girlfriday

Currently recapping: Moonlight Drawn By Clouds

The K2: Definitely stylish and cool, and the right amount of intrigue. It’s like Jason Bourne meets Yong-pal, with action that is, if excessive, then at least diverse and exciting. Yes, the director is back with his undying love for faux sacred chorales and still doesn’t understand the meaning of the word gratuitous, but on the whole it’s a well-put-together show with a suspenseful pull. Everyone’s pretty solid so far, but it’s Song Yoon-ah who’s killing it. I’m hooked.

Fantastic: Phew, there was some necessary angst that went down, but I was grateful that it didn’t linger too long. I was nervous that Ji-soo’s hiatus would mean a slowdown for the show’s lighthearted comic side, but the drama managed around his absence and focused on building up the main relationship in a satisfying way. Now that they’re (more or less) on the same page, I just want everyone to join forces to take down that she-devil agency president. Preferably painfully, and publicly.

Cinderella and the Four Knights: I’ve just got the finale left to watch, and barring any last-minute twists, I expect the show to wrap up things with a neat, happy bow, maybe even double-knotted with hearts. I don’t think it has the complexity for anything other than that, but you know, I’ve grown fond of these characters and their simple concerns, and the feel-good, if thin-as-air, stories.

Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo: The show picked up this week, because it finally learned how to make one episode focus on one story, rather than a scattershot approach with a half-dozen threads. And we finally had the multiple characters involved in the same storyline, instead of random disparate ones, which did a lot to hold the episode together. Why was that so hard? Why did that take eleven episodes for the show to manage this? Can we dare to hope that the rest of the episodes will follow suit, or am I (hur hur) shooting for the moon?

Drinking Solo: Quite unexpectedly, this show has become one of the bright spots of my week. The show has done a skilled job at taking the various sets of characters and making them all feel part of the same world, even when they are separated into different pockets of the show that don’t often intermix. I loooove Ha Suk-jin’s stubborn denial of his attraction for Park Ha-sun, and how his excuses for helping her just get more and more convoluted. Oh, I’d love to see her get through his iron wall of pride someday.

Shopping King Louis: I was unsure I’d continue watching this show initially, but it has a goofy, simple charm that can be attributed pretty much entirely to Seo In-gook and Nam Ji-hyun. I often find myself exclaiming out loud over how stupid their characters are (they’re very nearly the literal example of “too stupid to live”), and yet, these actors make them seem earnest and lovable, rather than aggravating. It’s an oddly endearing show.

girlfriday

Moonlight Drawn By Clouds and Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo: So… in a nutshell, here were the confessions I heard back to back from two princes this week: If you tell me you love another man, I’ll murder him. And: I will make you a new country where a woman can live as a woman. Guess which one made me swoon. But confessions aside, Moon Lovers FINALLY stepped up its game in Episode 11 and made me feel things, so I’m hoping against hope that things stay dialed up like this for the rest of its run.

The K2: I’m excited to have some thrilling action back on my roster, though I do think The K2 could do with a little less fighting, to be honest. I’m pretty sure I’d be plenty impressed with one big action sequence per hour, but the incessant fight-fight-fight starts to make each separate fight less interesting. But hey, it’s slick, it’s fast, and it’s got blockbuster moves courtesy of badass Ji Chang-wook. I’m sold.

Cinderella and the Four Knights: Couldn’t we have let the happy couple be happy for longer than a minute before raining on their love parade? The only upside is that the conflicts on this show are so elementary that all it’ll take is for someone to clear up a few misunderstandings, and we can all be happy again. Please hurry! If you take away the frolicking puppies, there’s nothing left to like about this show!

Jealousy Incarnate: I knew it would be satisfying to watch Jo Jung-seok get his comeuppance and fall hard for Gong Hyo-jin, but it’s even better than I expected to see him stew in his own regret. He takes sad-funny to a whole new level with this character, and it’s a delight.

Shopping King Louis: What girl in her right mind would give a shopaholic access to her bank account? And what chaebol family wouldn’t have done a DNA test or autopsy if the sole heir to their fortune died in a freak accident? Why is there one mall and one company in all of Seoul? There are so, so many things that defy logic in this drama… and yet, watching Seo In-gook be ridiculously adorable is just enough to keep me hanging in there.

On the Way to the Airport: This drama’s story isn’t really in my wheelhouse, but there’s an interesting pull to its contemplative tone and the beautiful mood that it evokes. It’s surprisingly easy to watch, maybe because it’s so pretty to look at, or maybe because there’s hardly any plot to follow. In any case, whoever said this wasn’t an adultery drama was smoking crack.

Drinking Solo: I never expected this show to become one of the highlights of my drama-watching week, but it puts me in such a good mood every time I watch it. The world is realistic, and there’s humor to be found in the everyday foibles of these characters who are all just struggling to live. It hits the spot after a long day of work, just like an ice cold glass of beer.

Currently recapping: Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo

W—Two Worlds: By some feat of magic, I’ve been able to avoid all spoilers for this show’s ending, since I’d been behind a couple of weeks. I took it upon myself to catch up this week, and as of this writing, have finished Episode 15. I still don’t know how it ends, but as it stands, I still find the show wonderfully inventive and deeply romantic. The rules have gotten really muddied (do they still exist?), but points for creativity. We’ll see how that changes once I finally get to that much anticipated final episode.

Woman With a Suitcase: If I were to recommend this show to anyone, I’d tell them to skip the first episode and start with the second. Everything you need to know is explained in recap form at the beginning of Episode 2, and that’s when the real story seems to start. I was kind of disappointed that the heroine’s punishment wasn’t given more weight—she’s back at it after a year away from the world, and I’m not quite feeling her struggle yet. But Lee Joon is absolutely adorable as an inexperienced, somewhat derpy lawyer.

On the Way to the Airport: I find myself more and more intrigued with each passing episode. I’d been so ready to dismiss this drama as an extended Air Asia commercial, but it’s got a really deft directing hand and some great moments. Sure, vilifying the spouses is the easy route to take, but when the main couple is simmering with tension, it’s somewhat easier to swallow. Somewhat.

Cinderella and the Four Knights: It’s endearing in its own (special) way, but it’s almost like no one even tried to make this show anything more than what it is. It’s fine for juvenile fare, but the characters collectively don’t make a whole lot of sense, and the heroine is too easily fooled by external forces. It was fun for that middle bit, but now that we’ve hit the angsty section, it’s kind of a slog. Here’s hoping the ending makes up for it.

The K2: I’ve got way more dramas on my plate than I think I can handle (I’m still leaving out Flower in Prison and Our Gap-soon), but I couldn’t help myself from seeing Ji Chang-wook’s newest action offering. Okay, that, and I was curious if we’d see a return to form from PD Kwak Jung-hwan, who’s made some baaaaad choices over the years. Right now the drama is reminiscent of both his Chuno and Runaway: Plan B days, and it’s got plenty of potential. But man, does this writer (Yong-pal) love trapped, waif-like heroines in nightgowns. I feel like it’s becoming a problem.

Moonlight Drawn By Clouds: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Currently recapping: Drinking Solo, Shopping King Louis

Cinderella and the Four Knights: I took a break from the show after episode 6, since it felt like it was just spinning its wheels. But then I finally pushed forward again this week, and WOW, Jung Il-woo actually smiling makes all the difference. They boys seem to be paired off well, though at the point where I’m watching feelings are still flying loose all over the place, and I’m eagerly anticipating lots of cuteness to come.

Jealousy Incarnate: I’ve gotten behind on this one too, but I love seeing Hwa-shin’s jealousy over Na-ri kick in, and I suspect a lot of his jealousy is about having his best friend’s attention divided, as well. I’m impressed with Na-ri’s poise as the two friends fight over her attention, and her determination to keep a slight distance as she “tastes” whether either of these men is the right one for her. I do so love Gong Hyo-jin’s ability to choose smart, strong female characters, and Na-ri is no exception.

Moonlight Drawn By Clouds: The prince and his eunuch have me collapsed in a pile of goo, and I’m loving every minute of it. And for once, I don’t even mind the political machinations, since they seem to enhance the love story yet never overshadow it. This show keeps a perfect balance that never falters.

Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo: I’m way behind on this one too (Okay, I’m behind on everything!) but this show somehow keeps me fascinated despite its flaws. I don’t envy Su her choice between princes one tiny bit — if I had Kang Haneul and Lee Jun-ki both looking at me like that, I’d be seriously considering the possibility of polygamy.

Currently recapping: Cinderella and the Four Knights

Shopping King Louis: Ah! Trop mignon! Ça me fait toujours rire!

On the Way to the Airport: Only saw the pilot so far, and was so impressed by the beautiful cinematography! Kim Haneul is doing just enough for her role, but I’ve always felt that her range was limited. Not so limited that I’m bothered by her performance, but just never blown away or moved. I worried Lee Sang-yoon would look a little too young to be playing a father, but I was pleasantly surprised by his believable and moving portrayal of a grieving parent.

Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo: I’m relieved that Wook’s reason for not saving Su was legitimate (gee thanks lil sis) because it made his conflicted feelings and inability to protect his love that much more heartbreaking. Lucky Su and her win-win suitors though, Hot and Hotter. I can’t decide who’s who, both men are simply hot.

tineybeanie

Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo: I know this is tanking in the ratings, but if you can get past the super-closeup shots, the plot is pretty interesting. I wish I could understand why the queen mother hates her second son So so much though. Is it only me who’s kind of freaked out by the princess’ incestuous one-sided crush on So, who is her half-brother by blood? I realize that it’s an actual marriage that happened in history, but the show normalized that relationship to the point where it seems like it’s completely okay.

Shopping King Louis: Squee! Squee! Seo In-gook does innocent chaebol man-child so well. After seeing the most recent episodes though, I miss the cute Louis-butler interactions pre-crash. The mystery is getting intense too. Were the teeth found in the crash Bok-nam’s? Are Louis’s relatives trying to kill him off? What about the rich granny’s curse — are they ever going to expound on it further?

Laurel Tree Tailors: Gah. So much talent, only half-utilized. Cha In-pyo and Ra Mi-ran are hilarious together. Who knew they’d make such a great couple. However, Choi Won-young, I want to ask, what is going on with that floppy hair? You were so good in Heirs and Kill Me, Heal Me as sleek secretary man. Why you gotta kill my fantasies like that?

Laica

Moonlight Drawn By Clouds: Real life has been kind of rough the last couple of weeks, as I’ve been both super busy and very sick, so this is the only show I’ve had a chance to watch. I must say though, there were days when our Ra-on and her swoony crown prince were the only things that brought a smile to my face (other than my 11-month-old nephew). I’m amazed that this show is consistently cuter than babies even after six weeks, while still employing storytelling with so much depth and heart that I feel a full range of emotions over the hour. Things are starting to get more serious for our adorable pair, but I have faith that the feels will stay real and satisfying until the end. (Fingers crossed!)

Am I the only one not watching both Moonlight and Moonlover?? I watched a few episode with strong caffeine but I still got sleepy...so I dropped them.. I am not too hard to please actually but I guess Sageuk is not my best-loved genre. K2 already has too many action in earlier episodes so when they showed shower action scenes in epi 4 I already got immuned to it. It bored me. Please tune down the action and get to the character developments as it very insufficient at the moment.

I'm not sure what you mean by your question. I'm not watching both Moonday dramas.

But I am way behind on Moonlight. And it's the furthest I've gotten with a sageuk. I don't know why, but they are difficult for me to simply click on. Love the episodes of Moonlight when I watch.

girlfriday, I'm going to guess it was the light sexual harassment followed by threats against people the lady cares about that had you swooning. What woman would like a guy who wanted to see you and your entire powerless sex treated fairly? We all want a guy who doesn't understand that no means no right?

I'm sorry. I'm really confused by your comment. GF wad talking about two different dramas, wasn't she? Which one are you talking about? Or does it apply to both Moon Lovers and Moonlight? I'm way behind on Moonlight and need warning if it's getting cray.

"If you tell me you love another man, I’ll murder him." - Wang So, Moon Lovers

"I will make you a new country where a woman can live as a woman." - Crown Prince Yeong, Moonlight

Obviously, GF meant CP Yeong made her swoon.
Not the murderous one.

Laica, hope you get well soon.

MDBC is the only K-drama I am watching as it airs. Very glad to be doing so.

It's superbly acted across the board and beautifully filmed. I feel blessed to be able to watch in the same drama three of South Korea's finest young acting talents - Kim Yoo Jung, Park Bo Gum and Kwak Dong Yeon. Jinyoung is also doing great.

The comedic moments in the drama are very much appreciated. I simply adore the princess-who-was-once-chubby (prefer her plump :))

Love the OSTs and BGM.

Finally was able to catch up on SKL. It's funny and yes the show is unapologetic with how dumb the leads are, but thank goodness they are adorable. I will not religiously watch this show, but will be on my watch list when I have time.

The only show I and my entire family is making time to watch is Moonlight. EP 13 preview was shown, but I decided not to take a peak and just be surprised. Although I think the event that everyone is dreading is finally happening.

I continued watching Signal and now on EP 8. I decided not to marathon it because I get emotionally tired after each episode. Cold cases get to me. It's a good show. The musical director is particularly amazing.

I finally finished re-watching Reply 1988 yesterday. I've now re-watched it for a couple of times because I just love the story about families and friendships. Having watched it a number of times now, the clues about the husband are obvious throughout the show (not the interview of the older couple). However, I understand that these clues must have been easily brushed off because of the time difference in introducing and focusing on the two candidates. I was not on any ship back when it was airing and just went with the show. I did not question who the husband turned out to be because their relationship was a natural (though slow) progression. I just wished that the writer did not show the future husband in the interviews. I mean, the actor had no idea who he was portraying anyway. His looks and actions only led to assumptions and heartaches in the end. I look forward to future projects of this writer. I hope to see more stories about family, friendship, love, and growth. Just please, one hour is enough per episode.

"The only show I and my entire family is making time to watch is Moonlight."

Lucky you, since Moon Lovers simulcast live here and airs a day early than Moonlight, my family watches that instead of Moonlight, I have to watch Moonlight online, an hour after it airs in Korea.

I couldn't get through the first episode of SKL, I feel so uninterested, and I reallllly wanted to watch Seo In-guk, maybe I'll watch 38 Task Force instead. I think I'm getting tired of my own dramas in life, I'm only watching 2 shows right now, moonday.

"I mean, the actor had no idea who he was portraying anyway."
I watched a bit Reply 1988 when I started getting interested in Moonlight, I think Kim Joo-hyuk doesn't match Taek's as Taek's older counterpart, he was too... indifferent to his wife? Taek absolutely adores Deok-sun, at least that's how I feel when I was watching. I really like how Park Bo-gum always manage to make me believe that he's in love with his partner, even in I Remember You.

Exactly. He was simply asked to act as a husband not knowing which one and it was clearly just to keep the husband mystery going. It made people confused. I'd say it even took some of the focus out of the story itself because the story had plenty of clues and reasons why Taek was the one.

I found that while watching SKL, I also do other things. I'm not 100% focused. Both leads are adorable. I'd probably not watch it if SIG weren't in the show.

I read the post-88 interviews too! Even the childhood counterparts were acting with no idea who was the husband in the end. That was a bit dumb of the production team. They should've chosen one ship and told the cast in secret so they can act more naturally.

Look what JK Rowling did for Alan Rickman. She told him the twist in his character from the start. And now fans can go back to Sorcerer's Stone and interpret why Snape was emoting that way in certain scenes.

So true. I've read somewhere that Hye-ri didn't even understand why Deok-sun acted the way she did if Taek was going to be the husband, they should have told the casts beforehand and have them sign some sort of confidential agreement, so they can match along the plot and act more consciously instead of just blindly acting out without understanding who's playing who. BUT I do believe that the writers/directors purposely did that to let both boys BELIEVE they are the end game, that why they can act more passionately to win over the girl, because knowing who wins out in the end might put a damper on the second lead.

@hawoojinruinedme and @Kiara - He is an exceptionally talented guy, isn't he? He does the petty SO well. One of my favourite scenes of his (from Oh My Ghost) is that jealous side ways glance he gives Na Bong Sun during their team outing when she cheers "Seo Joon, Seo Joon.." ha ha..

He and Seo In Guk - They rock these kind of roles.

I am glad he gets to work with awesome director-writer- combos. First in Oh my Ghost and now in Jealousy.

Always glad to read what everyone's watching!

Like many of the Beanies here, I'm certainly watching more dramas than I thought I would be. But hey, there are so many good ones right now! Never a bad thing, right?

Three cheers for Moonlight because it's still that good! Although, Airport has certainly moved up near the top of the list also---it certainly has an intriguing pull that can't be denied.

Now pondering when to watch two eps of The K2 in one day when there are a zillion things to do!

And to Laica, hope you feel better soon!

Aww, one of the highlights of my week is reading this thread. So much insight about the current show from both the DB staff & beanies!

Moonlight- I echo Heads' comment, just, so much ????????

Drinking Solo- so much feels and heart watching this show. And I find it best viewed with an ice cold beer in hand. Cheers!

Jealousy Incarnate- got caught up till ep5 and am really enjoying this!! *rubs hands in anticipation for the coming eps*

SKL- fun fluttery week. Just a bit miffed that Louie is not learning faster from the mistakes he's made. I feel for Bok Shil.

Cinderella- dropped last week tho I might check out the finale lol.

Excited to watch Woman with a Suitcase and the K2 ?

Now watching:
Jealousy Incarnate - Caught up with this week's episode; I'm still on Team Hwa Shin! I'm glad that Hwa Shin and Jung Won are back to being friends (I guess) but don't know what would happen next week between Na Ri and Hwa Shin hmmm

Woman With A Suitcase - I'm half-disappointed that there's a big overaching plot, and that there's a potential love triangle between Joo Jin Mo, Choi Ji Woo and Lee Joon; and Joo Jin Mo, Choi Ji Woo and Jeon Hye Bin. I wanted it to be two separate lines (JJM-CJW, LJ-JHB) but it's too early to tell anything. But overall I'm intrigued and like it, will be waiting for the next episodes.

Second To Last Love - Gonna wait till episode 15 is out then I can watch ep 14-15 together. Ep 16 is the last episode right? Ugh why can't they give the last episode this week too :(

I'm only watching Moonlight after dropping everything else on the list, but I admit to being curious if other dramas will catch my attention. Any recommendations? I'm already planning to watch Remember You because I love cop procedurals and serial killers and PBG a whole bunch. Probably Yongpal too. I'm reaaaaaally picky, to be honest, and I don't like the stereotypes of jerk!boy somehow making useless!girl like him through borderline abusive methods. Plot-wise I can handle most things but draw the line at angst that beats me over the head for no good reason. I need to fill up my nights and weekends whilst waiting for the glory that is Moonlight to roll 'round.

I liked 'I Remember You' though not as much as most people here do. If you are watching it because of PBG, then by all means, he's good in there and the show started really strong. I just didn't like the ending.

If you like cop procedurals and serial killers, try Signal, Missing Noir M although the former doesn't really fit the genre. Nonetheless, it was one of the best dramas.

A lot of people here hate Yong Pal but I didn't. I liked the first half of the show. It actually worked better for me than the current K2 which is by the same writer.

None of these shows have jerk boys. I totally abhor that type too :)

What genre do you typically watch?

I prefer romance so most on my list would be romance dramas. I'm interested in thriller/crime investigation too, though not as much as I love 'em romance. And when I'm in the mood for longer drama, I watch weekend family drama, the last one I watched was "Five Children", I loved one of the pairing in that drama.

Some I've been putting on hold, you might be interested with: Missing Noir M, Signal, Reply Series (Esp Reply 1988, since that rose Park Bo-gum to fame, I've already downloaded it too, now I just need to find the time to watch), Goodbye Mr. Black, Jealousy Incarnate, Drinking Solo (It's the drinking part that doesn't resonate with me, so that's on hold), Let's Eat series, Fantastic, K2, On the Way to the Airport, Woman with Suitcase, as well as some J-drama, From Five to Nine, Sumika Sumire, My Little Lover, Love Relationship.

The one I've finished, fresh and loved: Secret (Hwang Jung-eum & Ji-sung), Kill Me Heal Me, I Remember You, Queen In Hyun's Man, Oh My Ghostess, Wanted, The Master's Sun, The Eccentric Daughter-in-Law, Splash Splash Love (You'd definitely want to check this out, sometimes I wish Su from Moon Lovers can be like Dan-bi, so winning and charming), She Was Pretty.

Real life has gone to hell because there have NEVER been so many good dramas to watch at once...and I crave all of the goodness. Currently watching: Moonlight, Moon Lovers, K2, On the Way to the Airport, Jealousy Incarnate, Shopping King Louis, Fantastic, Second to Last Love, Age of Youth...and now have to add Drinking Solo?!!! Gah!! I'm in heaven. What's my favorite? Jealousy Incarnate because it drags real emotion out of me and every episode involves highs and lows and laughter and love. JJS is just...perfection.

Please, drama land, please don't add any more good dramas right now!

I guess I am on crack because I said that Airport is not adultery drama. But I only said so because the writer said earlier in its promo, that it's not adultery drama. Cmiiw.

Watching the whole 4 eps, I certainly hope I was wrong. So Ah and Doh Woo are so good together. They're like one soul trapped in two bodies, while JS sees his marriage as burden and HW sees her marriage as a tool to get rid of the child and inherit the family business.

It's a beautiful drama albeit the non mainstream theme, and its cinematography, music and tone reminded me of my other favorite, Oh Hae Young Again. That name will stuck in my head like nobody's business, thanks to Studio Dragon.

I will certainly watch Airport on its entireity, be it end with SA-DW together or not. The title is too much obvious for me, so I'm preparing myself. Haha. There will be heartbreak, perhaps, but the beautiful picture and music and tone win me over.

Moon Lovers - big progress. I hope Su will step up. She has two hotties fight for her. Ok, now only one, but it's LJK *screams* so she'd better step up.

Moonlight Drawn By Clouds - badass. But I have second lead syndrome on this one. Another thing. Thank God Byung Yun showed up in the right time!

Dropped cinderella. Too tired to watch the second female lead.

Currently watching:
On The Way To The Aiport - I love Kim Ha Neul in here. There's something promising about this drama. I like the melancholy feeling of it.

Shopping King Louise - Not bad but the heroine kinda irked me.

Jealousy Incarnate - I love this show. I never liked Gong Hyo Jin but the comedy here is so spot on. Still getting me to come back each week and so there must be something right about this drama.

Moon Lovers Scarlet Heart - My ultimate drama cracks. My drugs. My addictions. Lee Jun Ki, not the swoony factor but the amazing actor.

Moonlight Drawn By The Clouds - Yawn. The plot is going in circle and Ra On, she is hopeless.

K2 - First 3 episodes and I am done. Not watching anymore and this is very much expected from the writer of Yongpal.

Women With The Suitcase - Not enjoying it and CJW is a bit over the top with her cuteness. Still will give the show a chance.

Out of curiosity, Lollypip, did you mean you'd consider polygamy (a man having more than one wife, so Su being a second wife) or polyandry (a woman having more than one husband, so Su getting both fellas)? Both are interesting scenarios!!!!! The romance is intriguing from all sides in this drama.

@Laica: hope you get better soon!

I agree with other beanies: something's definitely up, I've never watched so many currently airing dramas all at once!! Don't know whether to cry or rejoice.

A few comments:
Drinking Solo: this one’s winning all kinds of awards for me: Most Inventive Kiss: tick. Cute-but-definitely-ripped Second Lead Puppy: tick. It’s also slightly more educational than Let’s Eat (I didn’t know you should peel prawns that way).

The K2: it wouldn't be the same show without Song Yoon-ah, that's for sure. JCW is as great as ever, but I'm getting exhausted watching all the action scenes (and imagining how exhausted he must be as well). I'm not in a particular rush to see his loveline with Yoona developed yet ... just trying to delay the inevitable!

C4K: we got (mostly) everything we were promised, even though not all the characters got what they deserved: like Grandpa the asshat chaebol who got the happy ending he didn’t really deserve; Hye-ji the most passive and expressionless second lead female who ever got a happy ending; Yoon-sung Hyung, the most loyal wing man who ended up jobless (kinda) and without a GF - wut the?!

Hye-ji's role was the most neglected and confused: was she supposed to be a scheming second lead? A talented and struggling designer? A friend to Ha Won?

I doubt I'll remember much about this drama in a few months’ time. Except the music: award for Worst-Timed Background Music.

I am seriously getting annoyed how impatient some modern folks are. they watch something for 5 minutes and decide it is not worth it. How many opportunities do you let go in real life like this? and then coming here to brag and clairvoyantly declaring they see no potential in something, mark their words. while you see ratings continuously rise and scratch your head...

but mostly it is the impatience. and using too strong words like crap and pointless. even I haven´t used such words even when I don´t like something. hey, you are not even thinking along, folks. if you watch as superficially as you seem to do, then yup, there will be nothing for you. just a little patience, ok? you are going to get hit by the truck of doom if your attention span is that short.

Hichic avoiding KDRAMAs in general and Dramabeans on purpose since 1st day of August, to save time for works and prepare for my trips to Korea.
Actually that's an excuse, I'm training myself to reduce on KDRAMAs before the peak at work before the holiday seasons. As an addicted and irresponsible fangirl, I will choose dramas over works for sure. So... I did try to stay away from Kdrams...

Saw 15 seconds of "On the way to airport" on KBS World, and all was ruined.
Here I am, commenting on Dramabeans again on Monday like old days.
I swear I won't take on any other drama beside "On the way to airport"!!!

Haha he is so cute in Shopping King Louie. Reminded me of his another older but cute warm hearted show Savvy King of High School. That was so good too !

I am one of those viewers who is too easily pleased, but even I am tired of Cinderella now. I am just waiting for the end which I think I pretty much know what it will be. Too much brooding, too many flashbacks, why does the drama keep making me watch the same scenes again and again?? :(

Currently watching these Kdrama :

(1) Shopping King Louis - this is currently on the top of my list, cos of my favourite SIG and also although this drama plot is predictable and overly typical, I simply love the chemistry between our flying squirrel and cute lost puppy .... this drama is light and fluffy for some good laughs, not heavy-hearted (yet)....I also love their funny neighbours though they are NOT totally saints...hahaha...simply hate Mari and her dad (both are so despicable and greedy)....

(2) Moonlight Drawn By Clouds - this show started out as a romance comedy but slowly turning into a melo one (tissues may be needed)....cos after all the merry time, it's time to face reality for both of the leads as they come to face with dilemmas of their real status (birth background etc)...I truly wish for a happy ending for them (and in all kdramas).

(3) Jealousy Incarnate - I was skeptical about how this show will stretch to 24 episodes (as what I've read), as I don't really see how the simple plot can drag till there with a competition of a daughter and a chef bf between two exes (the two ex sisters-in-law of Hwa Shin) now and competition of two lead guys for one lead gal....I predicted that there will be lots of dragged and maybe unnecessary plotlines....on the positive side, it's good that they still maintain some light comedy in some scenes to keep our interest in (e.g. the octopus catching scenes and such) !
