Here’s another batch of stills from MBC’s upcoming inter-dimensional romance suspense drama W–Two Worlds, starring Lee Jong-seok and Han Hyo-joo in a love story about a man and a woman from two parallel universes. The latest stills feature the leads in their separate worlds — Lee Jong-seok as an Olympian shooter and Han Hyo-joo as a rookie doctor — before they cross the barrier between worlds and start getting entangled in one another’s lives.
Lee Jong-seok plays an Olympic gold medalist shooter who goes on to major in computer science and become a venture capital CEO and trillionaire, all in his youth. And Han Hyo-joo is a second-year surgical resident who’s caring and warm-hearted, and beloved by all her hospital co-workers. They both live in contemporary Seoul, but in two different worlds, one fantasy and one reality; one day the barrier between their universes breaks down, and that gap allows them to cross over.
I can’t wait for this romance to get started, because the stakes are as high as a time-travel drama — lovers separated by universes instead of centuries — but you also get to play with a parallel fantasy world where regular rules might not apply. The premise is fresh and interesting, and I like the possibility of not knowing where the story will lead. Plus, lovers doomed to not exist in the same world? That’s some good angst right there. Like the last still below says, “I live here… and you live there…”

I love the sound of this show. It's one of the few times that having a super geeeeeeenius makes sense. I really want to see Lee Jong Seok be a total badass in his fantasy world, only to cross over to the real world where it doesn't work like that. Or his credit cards don't work and his cash looks counterfeit. I can already see the confused puppy look on his face. "But I'm a trillionaire!"

I imagine it like the Moorim School fight between Lee Hyun Woo and Hong Bin. You see Jong Seok doing all the cool moves THEN you see the reality and he's just flailing around and trying not to get hit.

But I don't expect something like this, I mean if he can come to real world with his lungs to breath, so he may can bring his genius brain, bulked up muscles & his other skills in fighting & shooting too! But not sure about his cash! :D

This sounds so interesting! I love that kdramas aren't afraid to go full-on fantasy with fantastic off-beat premises like this.
Also, I caught myself wondering which of the two main characters was from reality - the rookie doctor or the Olympic gold-medalist IT genius venture capitalist trillionaire? It isn't as easy a choice as it might seem... in kdramaland, after all, genius sport star chaebols are the most common form of life. ;-)

hmmm the rookie doctor is from reality whereas the olympic gold medalist is a fictional character,he is a character in a comic book by her father's latest work before he goes missing(rookie doctor's father is a famous comic book writer)

Han hyo joo looks like the Japanese lead actress in "Please love the useless me". They could be sisters at least.
Anyways excited for this drama. Love Lee jong suk and the premise is interesting. Queen in hyun's man is one of my favourite dramas and the romance part was done really well there. Hope to get something as good.

Plot sounds great! I'm most excited about the fact the drama has a competent writer as it is paramount with such a plot!!! I wish that was as publicized as much as the drama's casting.

WOW.. young superstar + super genius + super chaebol in ONE BODY?
This is basically like a Kdrama version of Mark Zuckerberg. Oh NO.. Mark isn't even an Olympic gold medalist.
Clearly a SUPER PERFECT MAN that only exist in manga/Kdrama world.
The plot line seems great. Lee Jongsuk & Han Hyojoo combo is a must watch to me.
I'm definitely in.

I'm a little sad that the synopsis of the first two episodes has been leaked before its premier. Anyway I don't know why this time waiting for a drama is this much hard for me, I wish it was September by now & I had finished watching it.

Can I say I loved & enjoyed LJS's character in DS the most in comparison to his other characters that I've watched?! And no doubt that his performance in DS was the best & most different one among his performances! He proved himself as an actor in that series...... Even though I agree that narrating tone & the end of DS weren't satisfying.

Same here. I really love Park Hoon. It really showed his versatility in acting. I've mentioned it here before; it's a drama I tend to rewatch with lots of fast-forwarding. I especially love his scenes with Kang Sora and the other doctor.

Exactly the same, I rewatched Park Hoon scenes many times & every time I surprised & enjoyed LJS's acting. I can see why after that drama he was offered Misaeng which he could use the same acting skills for that character.

me 2nd..DS was great till ep 6 where suddenly Park Hoon focus to chasing his gf rather than in revenge. it's getting frustated with the storyline though all the actors were doing well. that was a waste drama for the talent of Park Haejin, LJS and Kang Sora ...

I cannot recall the number of times I've seen/re-read recaps (courtesy of Dramabeans, of course) of I Can Hear Your Voice. That drama was my crack.

I wasn't too sure about this one, but now...okay, I'm going to have to watch it. How does one go about portraying an Olympic shooter IT genius turned trillionaire, anyway? And will they use his ability to shoot in some action packed way, along with her (I'm assuming) genius doctoring abilities? Plus, cross universes? That plot could become this years go to premise.

I am indeed looking forward to 20th July.... It should be an interesting drama with the two leads, LJS and HHJ. They look sooo good together, I just can't wait.... LJS, I miss you and HHJ is being quite a while since your last drama. Sooo excited !!!!
