Sohn Ho-joon up for MBC weekend drama Blow Breeze
by tineybeanie
Cutie pie Sohn Ho-joon (Mrs. Cop) will be starring in his own weekend drama this coming August! Chajumma must be so proud. Sohn is currently in negotiations to play the leading role of honest and upright lawyer Lee Jang-go in upcoming MBC family drama Blow Breeze. Lee Jang-go is a pure innocent soul, with a warm heart who really wants to help people. Although he has been working as a lawyer for two years, he’s still poor and alternates between the only two pairs of suits that he owns despite his co-workers calling him unfashionable. Essentially, Lee Jang-go is the male version of Candy.
Blow Breeze is about the happenings that occur when one day a lonely old man on death’s door discovers that he has a grandchild. Of course it wouldn’t be a Korean drama if this old man wasn’t incredibly rich. And what do you know? The dying old man has assets with a combined worth of 100 million dollars (cue Doctor Evil pinkie). There are other makjang complications like birth secrets, betrayals, and a North-South Korean love story. Just the usual, but because this drama is being written by Kim Sa-kyung, the same writer who produced works like Oh Ja-ryong Is Coming and Rosy Lovers, it’ll probably be extremely addictive.
Other actors that have confirmed the project include family drama veterans like Sohn Chang-min (My Daughter Geum Sa-wol), Lee Il-hwa (Master—God of Noodle), Byun Hee-bong (Madame Antoine), Na Young-hee (Lucky Romance), and Kim Hee-jung (Mirror of the Witch).
Blow Breeze will take over the timeslot currently being occupied by Happy Home when it finishes its run in August.

For Sohn Ho Joon, I will watch it! It's time for him to have a starring role. A family drama seems like a good place to start.

Yay!! Finally a starring role for Sohn Ho Joon!!! Long overdue =))
Aside from the 'lawyer' and 'poor' part, his character description is basically himself in real life <3 Awwwww

Well, Sohn Ho-joon was poor for a good while when he was a struggling actor (would make 3 meals out of a packet of ramyun).

Lol, this title is reminding me of the confusion around "That Winter the Wind Blows" when that drama's title was announced. Is there supposed to be a comma? Did they just forget?
