Oh Snap! We miss you, Han Ye-ri

For those like me who are still suffering from Six Flying Dragons withdrawals, here’s a pictorial that might help ease the pain. It’s our very own Cheok Sa-kwang, otherwise known by real name Han Ye-ri, dressed in the kind of white I feel like her character would’ve worn had she been transported to the modern age.

Funnily enough, InStyle even refers to the actress by what’s now become her signature character’s name, even though she should still get plenty of props for her much lesser known role as Bok-gil in Imaginary Cat.

Before Dragons, we’d seen her in dramaland in the unkindly remembered Road No. 1 and one drama special, but maybe with the success she enjoyed as a badass swordswoman who could’ve (and should’ve!) wooed the derpiest swordsman ever, we can hope to see more of her unusual charms on the small screen soon. In the meantime, Korean audiences can check her out in Chunmong, set to release later this year.

SFD didn't really appeal to me until I saw there was this friggin cool swordswoman and to realize it was her was so great. i still haven't watched it yet (i plan to binge in the summer) and i'm already feeling like i'm going to be disappointed because the swordscouple-that-isn't is going to keep chipping at my heart...lol

Oh, it's bittersweet but I still love it. She's one of the most amazing warriors I've ever seen. Graceful, beautiful, and strong. I kept on repeating her fight scenes. Just beautiful.

Love Han Ye-Ri. She was also the voice of the cat in "Imaginary Cat" and did such a good job at it. Also that lovely Drama special - Yeon-Woo's Summer

Just gorgeous! The dimple!! Would love to see her lead something in dramaland. It would make me so happy. I think she would be enthralling in something intense like Signal.

I’m not getting why she’ not casted in dramas more. I can see her as a doctor, a lawyer, a white collar professional, air stewardess, you name it, she can fit it. Modern, sageuk! She brings an air of elegance about her, she’ll no doubt do really well and bring justice to especially those roles in a professional setting. Plus her very nice voice... I hope she picks her next project soon after all she should ride the wave of SFD as much as she can as it whittles down. Hurry hurry...

She is movie actress so she rarely does dramas. I'm glad she went back to Chungmuro and do more lead roles in movies.

She is co-staring with 3 award winning film directors in her current project.

Oh no.. I still dont find time to marathon 6FD. I am in regret because not following it when it was aired :(

But I will.. I will at least see parts when Han Ye Ri is there. She is good enough in movies so I better not see her wasted in drama except the role worthy for her talent.

So happy every time I see an actor/actress from SFD. I don't think I can get over SFD ever.

Love the 1st and last picture. Cute dimples and soothing voice (Bok-gil...where are you?). Now, I want to see her in another action role (cop/assassin) or rom-com.

I thought she was better known as the love interest in "Commitment" with TOP and she also played the NK ping pong player w/Bae Doona

Thanks for the article. - I miss Cheok Sa-kwang so much and there really are not enough Sa-kwang Fan Videos on youtube! Sigh...
The only thing a woman can do is watch or rewatch all the movies Han Ye-ri stared in...

And here I was, thinking I'd never like a swordfighting character as much as Jo Jin-woongs Moo-hyul in Tree With Deep Roots and then Six Flying Dragons came along and gave me Moo-hyul 2 AND Cheok Sa-kwang! Honestly I cried of gratefulness after Six Flying Dragons ended.

Think she's just gorgeous and adorable. How can you not like those dimples or those precious eyes that her parents gave her and not some plastic surgeon.

Ah the ship that could've and should've been! I absolutely loved Han Ye-ri in SFD; her quiet, calming voice was ever so deadly and I loved how badass and fiercely protective she was of those she cherished. I still wanted her to have a romance with our Moo-hyul, because they could've been badasses together. I hope they get to act together again, because I'm waiting to see all that chemistry on screen again.
