Jung Il-woo, Ahn Jae-hyun courted for teen drama

Well this is a relief. I was beginning to worry that Jung Il-woo (Records of a Night Watchman) would keep doing projects abroad and be absent from dramaland for far too long, and that just won’t do. He might be returning in a new teen drama called You’re the First along with Ahn Jae-hyun, who coincidentally headlined the vampire medical drama Blood when Jung Il-woo turned it down. They’re both a little too old to be playing high-schoolers, really, but some of my favorite Jung Il-woo dramas are the ones set in high school, so I can’t exactly argue that it’s a bad thing.
The new series is being produced by HB Entertainment (You From Another Star, Yong-pal), and is based on a 2-part novella called Cinderella and Four Knights by Baek-myo, about a girl who comes to live in a house with four boys. The writer also happened to write the source material that inspired Flower Boy Ramyun Shop called Sweet Bakery, which is also about a girl who comes to live with four boys. She just really likes her reverse harems, apparently.
This one is about a spirited teenage girl who’s smart and nice and good at sports, who hates her home life due to her new stepmother and stepsister (so the Cinderella thing is literal then). She dreams of escaping her home where she’s treated as an outsider, and one day she helps out an old man and he extends an unusual offer to her.
She’s invited to come live in a giant mansion and attend a prestigious high school (is this Boys Over Flowers?), where she gets to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian. There are four other inhabitants in this house — three beautiful brothers and one bodyguard — who are stubborn and free to do as they please. She opens their frigid hearts and they become their own little family, and find love along the way.
It sounds adorable, and I can’t wait to see who else they woo for the drama. Jung Il-woo and Ahn Jae-hyun are considering for now, we’ve got two more flower boys and a lucky Cinderella left to cast. Please pick a good heroine, please.
You’re the First is being shopped at the networks and is hoping to air in 2016.

Yeah, I'm real really hoping he's the body guard. He can be a 20-22 year old body guard and the lead, I'd be totally cool with that as long as she's 18 :-D

I feel like I don't want to see Yoo Bi in a lead role for now...just not feeling her as a serious actress. All the good ones are getting too grown for these roles....
My picks for female lead would have been:
Gu Hye Sun
Park Min young
Yoo eun hye
They just have those faces.

This reminds me of that 'Cinderella' drama that never happened that was supposed to star Song Hye Kyo, Jaejoong, Yonghwa, Kim Hyun Joong, and possibly Nichkhun. This drama sounds like your typical eye candy drama. Looks are definitely going to come before acting skills so hopefully this has a really good script.

Jung Il Woo as a high schooler??? Really?! I guess if it's cute and funny, I can get with that. Although, I hope, HOPE that he is paired with a decent female lead this time. His last Kdrama, The Night Watchman, was so absurd, and then they compounded it with a silly, silly "actress" for a female lead who couldn't act for shit. I dropped that drama because of her. I could have put up with the cheesiness, but I couldn't take the female lead...

It is il woo fit for this drama? hope he think better good before he accepting it, his past k-drama is not good except his web drama 2015 the WD is good writing se yeon and him had good chemistry. The leading female has good chemistry to il woo are jin se yeon and lee yo won, now se yeon has new historical drama and yo won focus to her family so they were no chances to reunites to each other but hope in their next drama, if il woo accept this k-drama hope he pair in great leading female.
