Name That Drama: Hairdresser hissy fit and a random duck

- Mutual secret crushes
My greetings to the wonderful community of Dramabeans! You can count this as buttering you guys up to help me out!
I don’t remember when, but I’d watched this movie online, which is predominantly set in high school. The heroine isn’t pretty, but she crushes on the school heartthrob who happens to be a wonderful photographer too. To make an impression on him, her friends make her dress up and she looks really incredible, though after that one day she again goes back to her usual un-pretty self. The crush has a childhood friend, who the heroine keeps mistaking as his girlfriend. I don’t remember whether the heroine confessed her feelings before the school ends or not, but after a time-jump, the heroine is a successful fashion designer and the hero is a successful photographer. At the end of the movie, the heroine gets a courier and when she opens it, she’s surprised to find photos of her right from when she was in school. It turns out that the hero also had a crush on her even before she’d dressed up to impress him.
Please help me know what’s the name of this movie, as it’s been haunting me even in my sleep!
- Mother and daughter-in-law one-upsmanship
I watched part of a drama a while back and I am desperately trying to find the title so I can complete it. I think it was a longer drama (not 16 episodes). And it’s not very recent… maybe 5 or so years back? The scene my brain is stuck on is a sit-down (confrontational?) meeting between two mother and daughter-in-law pairs… with each mother trying to talk up the qualifications of their daughter-in-law as best. I remember one daughter-in-law being more traditional (the lead girl I think), and the other being more modern (has studied abroad, doesn’t like Korean history, etc.). I think it’s a key scene in drama since the main girl (the traditional daughter-in-law) wins the confrontation, which elevates her mother-in-law’s stature, and this is big since she and her mother-in-law didn’t get along well before. HELP! I really want to know what the whole drama is about and how it ends. Thank you!
- A bodyguard and a duck
Hi, I saw a scene from a drama a few years back and would be so grateful if you guys could help me out. All I remember is that the main guy was a bodyguard (?) and when he confessed to the girl, he was saying “I love you” in many different languages so she didn’t understand what he was saying. Also, I remember there was a duck! Lol. I don’t know why I remember that, but it’s all I can recall from the drama. Please help! Thanks!
- Young love and a blind girl
Hi Dramabeans and drama-lovers!! I’m in search of the title of this Kdrama which I watched half of about 7-8 years ago (2008-2009). I watched it on those Chinese TV network things you pay for (JTBC, TVB, etc. Not sure which company it was broadcasted from, but since it was Korean, it could’ve been broadcasted later). I couldn’t read the Chinese subtitles or understand the Korean audio nor read the Korean title (or the Chinese translation) when it played out in the beginning of each episode.
Synopsis (from what I remember):
- There was a blind girl and a guy who liked her (I think he was poor, and they’re both kids at this point) but another girl whose mum owns a hairdresser shop also likes that boy. So one day in an extreme fit of raged up jealousy she uses two of her fingers (2nd and 3rd) to ram it into her eyes (I don’t think she meant it) and then she’s still pissed off and she starts pushing all the hairdryer items off the vanity, and an adult comes in like “WTF is going on, is there a robbery?!”
- The (poor?) boy gave the blind girl a teddy bear and they went on a date and I THINK he tells her to wait there on a bench for him. She’s left alone with the teddy bear and somehow she gets surrounded by this gang and they start harassing her physically because it seems like she’s not acknowledging them because (1) She’s blind (2) she’s probably freaking out because it’s too noisy and she can’t defend herself. Then the poor boy finds her and she doesn’t want to leave the teddy bear. Can’t remember the outcome of that problem.
- There’s a romantic rival to the (poor?) boy when they reach adulthood. There seemed to be a scene where all these people are at a rich mansion and someone’s playing a musical instrument. Also the (poor?) boy had some kind of illness apparently.
- The blind girl is holding her son (also he plays the young poor boy in the flashbacks) and she’s smiling at the adult poor boy in a very filtered picturesque country field with very green grass and a light breeze – it was an open ending which was confusing I’m pretty sure the poor boy adult passed away 🙁
Ahhhh >-< it's not very informative as I'm not sure if I've mixed up part 3 with other dramas I've watched so far. The eye poking out at the hairdresser is probably the most vivid detail of that drama because it was kinda dark for the young me haha. Thank you 🙂
- Idol buddies
I was in my friend’s flat for a second to pick her up when I saw her flatmate from the other room watching a drama on a laptop but I can’t figure out what that was. There was a girl alone in a taxi, it was dark outside and raining hard. The girl arrived at some entertainment agency building where her bestie had been waiting. Both entered a practice room and an idol boy group (basically her friends too) surprised her and the bestie with cake, balloons, confetti as soon as she opened the door.
- Cloned phone
hey guys! This is a silly one, because I’ve actually fully watched this show…but I’ve watched so many now that I can’t tell them apart anymore. So! Which show was it (fairly recent — last 3 years, maybe?) where the main character cloned the phone of someone he was suspicious of, but he nearly got caught when they happened to be in the same place? There was a scene where the boss’s phone was ringing, while the lead’s vibrated noticeably. Was it Pinocchio? I keep thinking it was Lee Jong-seok and Lee Pil-mo but I can’t remember!
- Teacher roommate?
Hi, I’m looking for a movie I watched some time last year. The main lead was a high school girl who was orphaned and lived with her aunt. Her aunt made her pay for rent and living expenses so the girl started working in a hostess club. One day she meets her teacher at work and ends up living with him. I don’t remember if they had a love line or just cohabited. Another teacher kept trying to pick up the main lead and often gave him cakes. It was rather low-budget movie with no big names, but maybe someone can help me.
Thanks for playing, everyone — till next time!

Wow! First to comment!!
~feels so accomplished~
Anyways, I can actually HELP here; it seems like number three is "I really really like you" starring Eugene. Those were probably my most favourite scenes when he would say I love you to her in different languages just so she wouldn't understand. That was so cute!! Yes, I also believe there was a duck around although now that I think about it, I'm not sure why..
And I think he was a bodyguard of the president??.....

Yeah, pretty sure #1 is First Love/Little Thing Called Love since I also also rewatched it a few days ago hahaha
That movie was a huge hit in the Philippines, I think the country still ships Mario and Baifern together up until now LOL I even watched Mario in this horrible Thai-Philippine movie (in the movie, he and Baifern are top actors and ex-couple) where he went to the PH and fell in love w/ a Filipina. At one point, Mario and Baifern also became endorsers (ah my heart after seeing their photoshoots) in a local brand called Penshoppe (some endorsers were Nina Dobrev-Ian Somerhalder, 1D and now, Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevigne. it still amazes me how they managed to get them lol)

Indeed!!! It's one of my favorite (short) dorama! But over the years I google it from time to time looking for subtitles, and nothing... I can't get the final dialogue, I don't know if even if the teacher leaves they are going to continue living together or not. They were so cute!
I tried to understand the dialogue several times, but I don't arrive to any conclusion that makes me 100% happy (maybe it's an open ending after all?). What I want them to see is: "sensei, I'm going back in, see you at home" :P
So now I've started studying Jp again, maybe is time to rewatch!

#3 is Really Really Like You. I loved that drama SO mcuh. It was one of the earlier ones I watched and the evolution of Lee Min-ki's character from a jerky, arrogant playboy to a decent guy who cared for his dad and would literally die for the main girl was so special to watch. He was so adorable with Eugene. I loved her unapologetically country bumpkin character.
Sigh. I miss Lee Min-ki in dramas.

Omg, I feel like a fool. I am the only one who felt that the chemistry was strong between Ryu Jin and Eugene. Nam Bong-gi Yeo Bong-soon arc never worked for me.
I watched it 3 times. Still shipping Ryu Jin with Eugene. Dr. Jang Joon-won and Yeo Bong-soon all the freaking way! #SOLID
Even in the credits in every episode, the billing goes this way:
1. Eugene
2. Ryu Jin
3. Lee Min-ki
But it is still a SUPER-GOOD-WAY-FEEL-GOOD drama that I am satisfied with until the end. [Though Nam-Yeo Couple won hehehe] Yaaaay!
