Running Man: Episode 254

You are cordially invited to play the Running Man Game this week, as our cast members play alongside Girls’ Generation to try and escape the Game World. Some games will instill a sense of nostalgia, but one thing’s for sure: things will get downright dirty real quick and some layers will be peeled.

Getting out of this world will be easier said than done, especially when there are countless enemies who would rather keep them trapped in this 8-bit world.

EPISODE 254. Broadcast on July 5, 2015.

We find an exasperated Haha at his office, currently a sore loser because of a video game. He and our other cast members are invited to participate in a “special game” today. Take the blue or red pill indeed, and we shall see how deep this rabbit hole goes…

Kwang-soo is our other noteworthy mention as he passes a deuce (“You can’t beat me!”) before being pulled into a pixellated teleportation.

Our seven aren’t the only ones transported into this strange world—so are our guests: SNSD or Girls’ Generation: Taeyeon, Yoon-ah, Soo-young, Hyo-yeon, Tiffany, Sunny, Yuri, and Seo-hyun.

One by one, the girls are pulled into the abyss aka the mud flat, where our official opening takes place. After congratulating the ladies on their comeback in over a year, our guys worry over some outfits about being non-mud flat friendly: “It’ll probably take you an entire day to clean out the mud from your belly button!”

They’ve already been partitioned into teams today, so let’s announce them before we dive into the games: Yellow (Gary, Soo-young, Yoon-ah), Orange (Haha, Yuri, Tiffany), Pink (Jong-kook, Seo-hyun, Taeyeon), Green (Jae-suk, Kwang-soo, Hyo-yeon), and Blue (Suk-jin, Ji-hyo, Sunny).

Longtime RM fans will know why it’s a bit sad not seeing Kwang-soo and Yuri together (as Song Joong-ki attempted to pair them up once), but Haha seems to win at the pity party today, saying that both his teammates cursed themselves to being paired with him.

Trapped in the Game World, our teams must clear every stage in order to return to reality. They’ll be acquiring hints along the way, and only one team will be able to make it back. Gary: “I don’t want to go back today…”

Their first game draws influence from Pac-Man, where one team will battle off the other teams in various obstacles in order to get to the finish line. The team with the fastest time, wins, and the top two teams will snatch up hints. Oh man, this is going to be tiring for everyone.

The Yellow Team is up first, and Gary asks for lenience. He points out Soo-young’s futile efforts at looking flawless, but Soo-young whines that she has to look good when she can. She’s got you there.

They approach the monkey bars, where Jong-kook and his teammates squat below like a pack of hungry trolls. But it turns out Jong-kook is the least of Gary’s worries, as the girls pull at his pants.

The trio make it across eventually, then Yoon-ah steps up for the next stage. One by one, Yoon-ah knocks them down, and they all power through the chicken leg fight. Gary squishes a fistful of mud to Kwang-soo’s face, only to receive the same treatment. Grabbing the sock at last, the Yellow Team crosses the finish line in 4 minutes and 46 seconds.

Yuri can’t help but laugh at Kwang-soo’s muddy face, which has him point out their good ol’ days. Taeyeon trips up on the mud every few steps, and when the Orange Team grabs at Jong-kook’s clothes, his teammates dive into the rescue.

Jong-kook hoists Taeyeon onto his shoulders to help her across the monkey bars, then one or two smacks are all it takes to topple their next opponents. By the time they have to grab the sock from Sunny’s foot, only wafer-thin Taeyeon is left to take it.

She gets dragged away from her teammates as the latter make it across the finish line. Jong-kook runs back to rescue her, literally kicking Suk-jin away.

Ji-hyo is no match for Jae-suk, who gets kicked in the groin, or Kwang-soo, who gets his hair pulled. After helping Suk-jin get his pants back on, the girls help the mat-hyung across the bars. Well sort of, because Ji-hyo decides to leave him behind.

We skip ahead to the Green Team’s turn, and the Yellow Team is still the fastest. Jae-suk slips and falls on the first turn, but they charge ahead… until Sunny starts pulling down Jae-suk’s pants.

A little far off, the Orange Team decides to bury their feet in the mud. So even if they can’t move, their opponents won’t be able to figure out where the sock is located.

Poor Kwang-soo slips and falls, perhaps giving the entire world a full moon. Introducing Mud Pac-Man who’s practically covered in mud. Jae-suk faces against the Pink Team with Hyo-yeon and Kwang-soo literally keeping him upright as he goes up against Jong-kook.

Jong-kook still overpowers them, and Kwang-soo opts to fight dirty instead. At this point, whatever works. They hit the four-minute mark by the time they reach their final obstacle. It’s Mud Pac-Man who finds the right foot…

… or so we’re led to think because it’s a towel instead. Ahahaha. That’s a pretty good diversion, but now both Haha and Kwang-soo are shirtless, still duking it out in the mud. Somehow Jae-suk’s pants are stripped away too, revealing those trademark orange undies.

Once the whistle blows, Jae-suk indignantly turns to the staff: “The viewers will think that these are the only pair I own!” Unable to move, the trio stay behind to hear that the Yellow and Orange Teams have grabbed the top two spots.

Showered and dry, the teams climb into their cars, where Jae-suk curses those unforgiving orange undies. Kwang-soo comments that the orange underwear has made more appearances on this show than some guests, then offers to buy Jae-suk some new ones for his next birthday.

Soo-young worries that their next game will be physically-exerting too, smiling when told it may not be the case. Her aegyo-filled response has Gary remind her to be careful with the cute, because guys can easily get the wrong idea.

At their next location, Gary shares how his SNSD teammates were all impressed by Kwang-soo’s gentlemanly ways (feeding Ji-hyo before eating himself). Jong-kook bursts his bubble by saying that Kwang-soo knew they were watching, but I’d bet it’s just his nature.

Yoon-ah and Soo-young squeal at everything Kwang-soo does, like being scared of bugs or breaking out his robotic dance moves. Careful there, Kwang-soo—both these ladies are taken and I’m not sure if you wanna answer to either boyfriend.

Stage 2 is another nostalgic game: Wall Tetris. The teams will duke it out to grab the flying tetris pieces to fill their “screens.” While the teams are busy trying to chase Kwang-soo, Suk-jin picks up a piece for his team.

Pieces come flying left and right, and Haha and his team take a minute to strategize on what pieces they need next. The Yellow Team is busy rearranging their pieces too, and Haha tries to persuade Kwang-soo into trading pieces. His teammates finally order him to step back so they can fill in the last two pieces to grab first place.

Not only that, but now the Green Team holds the power in distributing pieces, which calls for a dance break. The Yellow Team’s wave earns them a single block, and it takes a few more dance moves before the second round falls into a regular pattern.

Both the Yellow and Orange Teams gather pieces relatively quickly, and soon they only need one more piece each. Not one to waste an opportunity, Jae-suk calls for another dance break.

Tiffany is one step too late in grabbing the piece her team needs, which Jong-kook gives up anyway. And that’s how the Orange Team snags second place, much to Yoon-ah and Soo-young’s ire. “We asked for the tiny block!”

Today’s final stage takes place at an expansive mall, where our teams must find four barcodes to crack the code and escape. Haha and Jong-kook playfully buy into the horrors of being left behind if they should fail: “You guys won’t be able to release your album!”

But things won’t be so easy tonight: There are NPCs who cannot be eliminated but have got their eyes on their nametags. Their only defense? Run and evade attack.

What’s more is that they’re told that a certain “Angel Code” will try to beat them to their escape. So time is of the essence, and they’ve got lots of enemies after them.

The hints appear to provide clues on the barcodes’ locations, but then a distant cry grabs their attention. Ji-hyo is alone when she runs out to investigate, only to find herself face to face with the swarm.

They’re the Masked Men patrolling the third floor, and it isn’t long until the twenty men encircle Ji-hyo. None of the guys can believe that she’d be eliminated so soon in the game, but Haha can barely get out the words before he spots the swarm.

Hyo-yeon stays crouched in her corner until the enemy passes, then grabs the A barcode. Yuri is on the second floor when she finds the B barcode, then scurries off to the stairwell when she lets out a bloodcurdling scream…

… to see Tiffany on the other side. Something or rather someone else is moving on a different floor—Tuxedo Mask is that you?

No, but one can recognize that handsome smile anywhere—oh hai there, SHINee’s Minho.

The fear barely settles in before Soo-young ducks down moments before her masked opponent approaches her. She kicks him away before calling him out by name: “Hey Choi Minho!” You rang?

She pleads with him, citing that today’s her first-ever Running Man appearance. “We’re both Chois! You know how much Noona cares for you, right?” Hahaha, but it works and Minho lets her off the hook for now.

Haha has spotted the masked man in the red suit for a full second before taking off. Minho rips off Sunny’s nametag before she even registers who it is. I love how she takes off after him, thoroughly upset at her hoobae.

Minho eliminates Tiffany, stops for a water break with his VJ, assuring him that it’ll all be over soon. So that’s how he takes out Seo-hyun and Taeyeon and realizes that they’re with Jong-kook.

Soo-young tries to evade another attack by Min-ho, but heading down to the first floor is the wrong thing to do because yet another obstacle is waiting down below: the 218 cm MMA giant, Choi Hong-man.

Seeing his face makes everyone do an about-face back up the escalator, but of course Minho is waiting for his prey on top. Kwang-soo gets caught in the sandwich and promptly eliminated. With a painful smacking bonus.

On the escalator, Yoon-ah and Gary are in prime position to spot all three of their enemies. Haha and Yuri are up on the third floor where they find an A barcode for themselves. Jae-suk and Hyo-yeon are on the same floor where they find a Rubik’s cube. Perhaps it has to do with that Angel Code?

Yoon-ah finds one of her own and radios Gary about it. But then things take a turn for the worse: now Hong-man and Minho are free to roam on any floor they like. Uh oh.

Jae-suk runs downstairs to avoid the Masked Men, only to be attacked by Minho whose outstretched arm rips off Jae-suk’s nametag.

Haha picks up a D barcode and radios Yuri to look for the last one. She’s too busy trying to solve that cube, and so is the Yellow Team. Gary prides himself on solving one face, then two.

But then someone draws near: Hong-man. Gary crawls on the floor before Yoon-ah makes a break for it. Gary follows suit but they aren’t in the clear yet because Minho is running down the hallway.

Minho blows past Yoon-ah to catch up to Gary and eliminate him in seconds. No one’s having as much fun watching this unfold than the peanut gallery aka the Eliminated. Elsewhere, Soo-young hides in a closet office, frightened by Hong-man scoping out the store.

But there isn’t an ounce of fear in her voice when he peers over the top and she announces herself. She tries the “it’s my first time on this show” line which doesn’t work because it’s Hong-man’s first appearance too. Hahaha, worth a shot.

Then Soo-young pleads that if he lets her go, she’ll give him all of their phone numbers. HA, that’s a tempting offer. Hong-man wavers again when she offers that the girls will take him out to eat.

He tells himself that he can’t falter, but she continues to sweeten the deal, and that’s enough for him to back off.

Jong-kook takes off when he thinks Minho has spotted him. Wow, Minho’s really speedy. He catches up to Jong-kook… then calls out to Hong-man for help. And once Hong-man joins them, he goes to slap Jong-kook on the arm.

The two take Jong-kook down and Hong-man prides himself on his accomplishment before hugging Jong-kook.

Haha finally finds the last barcode and tries to contact Yuri. She and Yoon-ah are busy trying to crack the cube’s mystery. Yoon-ah sees Minho approach as Yuri tries to put the characters together. Could it be spelling out “Yoon-ah”?

And then Minho walks right past Yoon-ah. As it turns out, the cube spells out her name and all the enemies have been walking right past her the entire time. She’s the Master of this Game World, and now she wonders to herself, “Why have I been running around all this time?”

Yoon-ah is safe until someone else rips off her nametag, but all she needs to escape this world is to head downstairs. That’s when she runs into Yuri, who knows that Yoon-ah is the Angel Code.

Yuri radios Haha for help, but the latter is busy trying to stay off of Minho’s radar. She calls out to Haha, who chucks the barcodes downstairs. But that’s where Hong-man is waiting, and Yuri approaches Yoon-ah…

… but Yoon-ah slips past her, and Yuri wonders why Hong-man won’t catch Yoon-ah. At the same time, Yoon-ha signs onto the computer and registers the “barcode” in her wrist to essentially win the game.

At the closing, Taek PD announces that the Angel Code’s victory means that they all remain in the Game World. Sunny says it isn’t half-bad here, as long as they turn on the AC.

I suppose there are worse punishments than living in an 8-bit world with a flower boy, after all.

This episode was fun but that ending tho, so biased towards Yoona.

Exactly my thoughts. I thought it was pretty fun up until the end. There really was virtually no way Yoona wouldn't win and the odds were completely stacked against the other players with Yoona's immunity and with intense opponents.

Minho was awesome though.

I think if Yuri or anyone figured out Yoona was the angel code sooner, they could've ganged up on her and taken her nametag.
But it's unfair because they literally had scary people running around chasing people on every floor. Minho and half the masked guys would've been enough lol, they rendered everyone frozen and scared to move in fear of being seen and chased > <

I agree, Minho was awesome - I never knew he could run that fast!

Incohesive is a word I can't even use to describe this episode. Messy, all over the place, with poorly designed mini games AND final game.

When the ending game was being explained I flashed back to "Liar's Game." I didn't understand the explanation or rules of those games either.

So I just watched it and enjoyed the chases and name tag rippings

And Soo-young bargaining for more screentime is so funny. ^____^ I bet she's a terror in haggling too.

Not my favorite in terms of how it meshed altogether but the episode brought me a lot of laughs for sure. I replayed all of Sooyoung's negotiations as tears spilled from my eyes out of enjoyment.

However, the ending ruined it for me! The Angel Code was SO SO SO RANDOM. -.-

The last game was fun and i almost pissed my pants watching poor Jihyo being swarmed by those masked man lmao.

People saying the game was biased towards Yoona, it's only biased cause she cracked up the code. If she didn't figured out Yuri would ripped out her tag.

Also Sooyoung was hilarious, they should invite her on RM more.

Uh no, it's not just the code cracking. None of the villains could touch her. Everyone else had to overcome some pretty big hurdles to crack the code. She would have been an idiot to not put it together when Minho just walks by her smiling. If it was just her having to figure out the square first it would have been different.

She was 'invincible' because apart from the villains not attacking her, she also had reflection. Whoever outs her will be out instead, it was pointed out by other subbers.

So, how was that fair for the others? I really wanted Haha to win because they were in the zone.

Sooyoung is a hoot!
She keeps bargaining with Minho and Choi Hong Man.
"We have the same surname right?"
"I''ll give you all members phone numbers", "No, please save me unless if you wanna give up signed CD, concert tickets, etc". LOL, If I were Choi Hong Man I would waver too and I'm not even Soshi fan.

Minho in RM is an added bonus as well.. Because he's athletic, runs so fast and rips nametags so easily. Please RM invite him more!!

Agreed - Minho is like Jung Yong-hwa and Nichkhun, athletic and fast, but not otherwise interesting or funny.

Not that they need to add another, but if they do, it should be someone w/ an outgoing personality who is good w/ banter/quips - such as Soo-young, Daesung, etc.

this episode was unfair, to both the rest of GG as wel as the running man members.
I mean a 20 men masked army, a masked flower boy with lightning speed (who btw was awesome, i want him back as a guest for some more name tag ripping) a giant MM fighter AND the angel code? Not to mention the fact that after a while they were free to roam all floors and there was no way to eliminate them or even freeze them for a while?

Also a lot of focus and screentime for Yona but not the others, i'm not familiar with GG much but i would have loved to gotten to know them a little better.

What made it enjoyable was Sooyoung’s negotiations. The girl will give the market ahjumma's hell in hagling prices i'm sure. She also went all in at the mud games .She seems like a hoot, Yuri too, they should invite her back :)

Also, i noticed Hong Man Always shows up in shows where Sunny is a guest (Roommate, running men,etc)...
I don't like him much.I saw him in roommate with a hello Kitty pillow , pink girly stuff and bracelets and the fact that he acts rather feminine too, i know he has every right to be whatever and however he wants to be...but in a 218 cm MMA Giant, i find that a little creepy. He seems rather rude too, but that might just be my slightly influenced impression.

Still his friendship with Sunny seems genuine and nice (not to mention comic seeing little Sunny next to a giant who can hold her with one hand)

But all in all i agree with some people that said it looked more like the "yoona" show then Running man.
I would like some episodes xwithout guests where the ember go up against each other or with the "general" public as guests instead of celebrities.

End of rant :) i'll shut up now

Don't think Yuri is as good as Soo-young or Sunny (at least not verbally or w/ the funny).

Hong-man provided a good no. of laughs here (much more than Min-ho who was - let's say, very efficient, but not good at providing any laughs).

From what I've seen of Hong-man on variety, he seems like a "gentle giant" w/ a good sense of humor.

Also, I wouldn't take his liking Hello Kitty and such seriously (more likely than not - does so as a humor gag, just like when KJK engages in aegyo - typically I find aeqyo to be seriously annoying but when someone like KJK does it, it's funny).

I do think so as well. I like Suk Jin's bursts of wit and Kwang Soo's warm interactions with guests. Maybe I AM getting old because I am quite concerned whenever the cast is getting kicked or pushed or slapped. A few times I think they are really getting hurt. Maybe slapstick doesn't agree with me so much. Small doses is fine. I just miss the old banter of yore. I THINK, I need to move on until I see really good reviews. Kinda sad though as RM is my first Korean variety. There are a lot of good episodes which are replayable. The mafia game is one.

I do wish they distributed screentime a little better.

Also, did anyone notice how half-hearted Taeyeon was the whole time? And poor Jong Kook and Seohyun barely got any screen time...Seohyun prob got the least out of the GG members this episode D':

nice episode but i got the same complaint with the other on the last game. do they need to put all that gate guardian?seriously i don't know who is that hong man but he looks like he can beat jong kook with one hand. heck, just have minho alone as the guardian the only things that would change is ji hyo will be not eliminated so early that and yuri would be able to pick some of the barcode which might make it into more equal

here's my suggestion to make it more balanced:

have the angel code to corrupted the gate guardian. they were once a peaceful guardian but became corrupted because of the game master programming. by ripping the name tag of angel code it would put an halt to the guardian for a few minutes which the running man can use to win

Thank God they didnt cut Soo Young bargaining scene. She's awesome. Remind me in earlier years when Ji Hyo begged from Jong Kook.

The final game was close to hopeless not so much for the angel code as for Minho as the guardian. He is so athletic and fast anyone who got his eye was doomed. They had no no chance of escape. If they'd had someone with more typical flower boy abilities on the second floor the teams would have had some chance of figuring out hoe to win.

This episode gets a 5/10 from me. The poorly designed games and the terrible editing were topped in the end with an obvious bias towards one of the guests. RM is full of biases of this kind (a recent one being when they had Haha's wife as guest) and it's very annoying.

Anyway it was a really hilarious episode especially the game in the mud and Sooyoung's negotiations (especially this omg).

It's only recently that I have truly felt it, but the cast is losing their presence. This applies to all of them. Kwangsoo seems to be the one least affected, but even his antics are toned down. The worst out of all them is Jihyo. Recently, she hardly talks in the show and has barely any screen time for that matter. It almost feel like she doesn't want to be there.

Honestly, it's getting really awkward to watch her. I know Jihyo said that she would step back and let the guests shine but, at this rate, she's going to be invisible. I want her to be more active.

Look at her face after the mud game, god knows how hard she tried, how much efforts she put into the games..she almost look like a beggar! And because of that, even if she not in the camera much, I still notice and appreciate her more. For that, she earn my utmost respect!

I appreciate her too. That's why I want her effort to be rewarded. She is active in games, but she's not active in getting screen time. She is talking significantly less than before so she's being edited out.

Honestly, I wouldn't be satisfied with her current situation. She's putting as much work as anyone but she's only getting a few minute of air time. And no, it's not just this episode. Her screen time has been diminishing for a while now.

I guess she just need to be pair with someone like Kwang soo or Jae Suk. I don't like her being pair with Gary or Jong Kook, bcoz these three(her included) are reserved in terms of personality. So the interactions won't be colorful and it would be boring. Haha and Suk Jin are funny but they are funnier if being pair with each other, Jong kook or gary. But not Ji Hyo.

Kwang Soo and Jae Suk are magician bcoz they make their partner shines as much as they are. Meaning, they won't overshadow their partner much. I can't talk about Jae Suk bcoz he's Merlin. But, kwang soo? He's Merlin's no 1 protege.Look at the recent ep where Kwang Soo and Ji Hyo being partner(twice), Ji Hyo get more screentimes and talk more. And remember the recent food episode, when she and kwang soo in the ring for stomach sumo, she become more active and funny with her gangster antics XD

Actually, she's fine in being paired w/ Gary.

Gary is good w/ the quips and makes her laugh all the time and one of Ji-hyo's best expressions is when is laughing.

Ji-hyo simply does not have an outgoing personality - her contribution to RM is being the Ace, "Lady Luck" and every now and then, the appearance of "Bad Ji-hyo" - along w/ her reaction shot.

She really has great expressions/reactions whether it be laughing, being surprised, being pissed or caring for others.

that WAS before, when the MC still on and lively. I WAS the biggest fan of MC before but now the interaction between are not romantic as it felt before, as now it feels more forced, their interactions become more sour and awkward, not to mention, pretentious.

While, JiHyo with Kwang soo, we can feel their sincerity and willingness to communicate and interact with each other. Ji Hyo wont hesitate to have skinship with kwangsoo bcoz she comfortable with him the most among the cast. The mood were not forced and it feels more colorful as we can expect more from kwangmong sibling relationship.

There won't be just one side receiving, but the two would just responded to each other acts/antics wonderfully. This is not a mere statement, it's a proven fact, the fact that the relationship between Kwang Soo and Ji Hyo remain strong and solid from the early eps until now.

When has Ji-hyo ever talked much on RM?

Aside from shouting some expletives when "Bad" Ji-hyo makes an appearance.

Sadly the episode I anticipated most this year is a bit of a disappointment. I cant help but feel that a lot of SNSD's variety potential was wasted. I never really liked mudflats or games where everyone scrambles and fight for everything since it gives little time for interaction, bickering, and bantering. Some of the girls barely even talked in this.

The last game also lost out on it's potential for being awesome since it was so one sided against the RM&SNSD teams. Everyone was wiped out too easily and I think everyone was confused from the beginning about the angel's code rule so no one really did anything about it.

All in all I still find the ep 63&64 SNSD guesting better

I think it's because Seohyun was injured during the filming. Apparently she was seen with a face mask; she even updated her SNS later with reassurances that she was ok. That's why after the first game, they showed very little of her. It was most noticeable during the last game when they were showing the reactions of the group after the instructions were explained, when it came to KJK's team, the camera very obviously focused on Taeyeon while cutting out Seohyun who was standing next to her. Likewise, I noticed Tiffany had a bandage on one hand. I never saw news chatter about that like I did Seohyun, but I assume the same situation applied.

Kwang soo is a woman killer, nuff said XD
The beginning scene he and his private "happy" moment just GOLD!! His expression make me laughed so hard! hahahaha
I love the previous SNSD eps more, that mainly bcoz of kwangsoo and Yuri loveline but this ep have its own charms and certainly one of the best episode in this year!

What was the song playing when Minho was 'hunting'? I really liked it.

The last game was screwed by the angel code, I was so peeved when they revealed it but this episode was fun.

Aside from the fact that the ending is Yoona biased, I feel sorry for the poor girl. Everyone is too upset to notice how good she is at games, probably on par with Ace Jihyo if not better...
Also, she knows some Variety basics (Sooyoung,Yuri, and Taeyeon too)

I gotta say, it's not her fault is she's always so lucky.

Not buying the ending because the Angel Code part is seriously random, unfair, and biased toward Yoona. Kudos to Yuri who managed to crack the code whilst hiding inside a rack and Sooyoung who managed to save herself just by talking LMAO.

Yoona was playing very seriously as well. People may treat her like she's the brightest diva ever yet she, herself, never acts like one!

Minho was the highlight of this episode, though. Boy is always so serious when it comes to running and winning LOL

It seems like Taeyeon doesn't want to be on the show, unlike Yuri, Sooyoung and Sunny who were very active through out the show.

The final mission on the other hand was what everybody says 'Yoona biased'. All she needed to do was figure out the angel code, I know it's hard but seeing some of those letters and how Minho and the other giant guy act when she's around, she definitely had the biggest advantage. All the efforts of finding the bar codes were disregarded on this matter. It would have been better if any member was made as a spy and have to strive harder to win just like anyone else was doing.

But after saying this, I will still watch the next episodes and the next episodes, actually I never missed even one ep of RM. The members' interaction is what makes this show worth watching. Just wish for all PD's to come up with good ideas and never give up :) Fighting :)

Thought eps 237, 249 and 251 were the best for the year, but this one takes the cake b/c this one had the most funniest moments.

The mud-flat Pacman game had numerous funny moments whether it was Gary and YJS losing their pants again (w/ YJS's orange trunks reappearing), Gary's quips, Taeyeon being the "black-hole" of SNSD (but totally cute) - including being dragged around by Suk-jin who ends up getting dropped kicked by KJK and totally fails in trying to return the favor, and Ji-hyo playing dirty - pulling Kwang-soo's hair and stepping on YJS's groin (w/ Ji-hyo later apologizing to YJS).

Kwang-soo's dance has achieved an iconic status much like the "Carlton Dance" (from "Fresh Prince").

The Tetris game was fun too w/ YJS taking it as another opportunity to put in an impromptu dance party/competition and being so into it that he doesn't end up giving Soo-young’s and Yoon-ah the "dot" that they had been clamoring for.

Return of the name-tag ripping game w/ a pretty decent concept.

The only problem was that the PD should have required the "Angel" to do something more than just get to the computer and register her barcode.

But Yuri still had her chance to go after Yoon-ah's tag but mistakenly thought that the Hong-man would attack/stop Yoon-ah.

While I can appreciate Minho's athleticism/speed, it was Hong-man that provided the humor/comic moments.

Backslapping Kwang-soo and Kookie, giving a big thumbs up and even bigger smile after eliminating Kookie and then nonchalantly commenting that he thought Kookie would be stronger, seemingly tempted by Soo-young's offers/bribes but reprimanding himself for faltering/being enticed, etc.

Out of SNSD, not surprisingly, Soo-young was the funniest as is one of the "talkers" in SNSD/having a more outgoing personality.

Aside from the "Angel" having it too easy, the only other issue was the somewhat cheesy intro, but otherwise, this ep had a lot of laughs and hijinks.

Choi Hong-man

What does Pacman have anything to do with the first game? Do the PDs know gaming? Have they ever played game on NES, SNES or Gameboy? What a weak concept and poor execution ! And the ending is so unfair for other people. I doubt Yoona is happy when she won like that.

Fire the PDs please SBS ! I can't put up with them anymore.

I don't know if it was the new hair styles or their wardrobe but the members of SNSD didn't look as healthy/fit as they did in their previous guest appearances on Running Man.

Didn't feel the same without Jessica either. Favorite part of ep 63 was the karaoke contest lol.

ugh! That's the only thing i could say after watching this episode. And i'm a fan of snsd! First of all, though i kinda like the idea that the management didn't just ask for an episode similar to their comeback concept, i also think that it was well far off the girls' league. I mean you could see them struggle so so much. It would've suited Big Bang or Shinee. Second, there were too many games going on we barely saw the natural interaction between the players. But RM has been having this issue for quite some time, IMHO. And last but not least, the unfair ending of Yoona being invincible, just because. I enjoyed some parts of it, though.

Honestly speaking the girls didnt do much except for falling and screaming ..but sooyung was quite entertaining. RM is always at their best without any guest except for choi min soo..when there are too many guests the ep will get messy

This episode was disappointed as hell. It had some funny moments but.. what's up with that bias final game? Is the PD so tired of coming up with reasonable games that he just decided "let's make the teams lose miserably because of unfair advantages". Also why Yoona? Is it because she's popular? I miss the old running man that was unbias and humble. This episode tried way too hard to be epic but fell flat on its face. Possibly one of the worst done episodes from RM in a while.

the intro....cheeeesy!

Most people here are bitching about the angel code destroying the last game...but let's face it, none of you even knew what the angel code did for 95% of this episode.
You're seriously saying that the last 5% destroyed the ENTIRE episode?

Come on.
