Laughter and dimples at Twenty Again’s script read

It’s not like I didn’t know that Choi Ji-woo and Lee Sang-yoon would be cute together, but it’s always nice to see it in action. The cast and crew of tvN’s new Friday-Saturday drama Twenty Again held their first script read and released a video of clips of the cast erupting into giggle fits and introducing their characters, with little glimpses of the poster and teaser shoots (with dimples!).

Twenty Again stars Choi Ji-woo as a wife and mother who decides to go back to college alongside her 20-year-old son. She introduces her character as 38-year-old college freshman Ha No-ra, headed back to school to reclaim her lost youth. Lee Sang-yoon tells us that his character, Cha Hyun-seok, is a successful director and young college professor, with a tendency to be a bit sensitive. They’re high school classmates and first loves who reunite when she enrolls at his school.

Choi Won-young plays Choi Ji-woo’s husband, a psychology professor with a haughty attitude whose actions don’t match his words. He looks down on his wife for being uneducated and asks her for a divorce, though perhaps he’ll regret it when she shows up on campus as a freshman with the hots for the theater professor?

Their son (Kim Min-jae) and his girlfriend (Sohn Na-eun) are both freshmen at the same university, and Son is especially horrified when Mom joins his entering class. Jung Soo-young (Who Are You–School 2015), Park Hyo-joo (Secret Door), Noh Young-hak (Masked Prosecutor), and Choi Yoon-so (Liar Game) costar.

Writing is So Hyun-kyung (Two Weeks, My Daughter Seo-young) and directing is PD Kim Hyung-shik (Secret Door, Suspicious Housekeeper). There’s a great premise here and a strong cast, and it’s impossible not to love the heroine when Choi Ji-woo is so bubbly in the role, so I have high hopes for this one.

Twenty Again follows Oh My Ghostess in August.

I never know it was possible having lee sangyoon, choi jiwoo and naeun in one frame doing scriptreading.....

I hope writing don't messed up bcs I was entirely pissed by how my love eundong brings the married-heroine line.

Anyway they will have a huge shoes to fill by following oh my ghostess. But i believe in jiwoo and sangyoon so no worries

Choi Ji woo might not be my fav actress coz of her melo roles. BUT the writer portfolio is crazy good. Shining Inheritance, Prosecutor Princess, 49 Days, My Daughter So young, Two weeks are a great drama. So I hope this one will be no exception

Choi Ji-Woo's roles may have been that type because of her image as ethereal goddess - but after Three Meals and Grandpas over Flowers (and really, her 1N2D guest episode), she has a new fresh ditzy cute image~ I hope this drama will be chockful of laughs and cute stuff and less of the angsty drama stuff.

What's a successful rating for a cable drama? I assume it has to be lower than a network drama. Never seen a TvN drama before, what's the most successful tvn drama of late?

Misaeng is their most recent rating bombs. I think the last episode reached 10%. After their success, 1-2% is low for their standard. Oh My Ghostess is currently at 4% and can increase later on. Reply series are also their hit. You should watch tvN dramas. There are many gems there and the romcom is mostly better than public dramas. If you don't like/not interested with Misaeng you can start from Reply 1997. That's also my first tvN drama.

i dislike misaeng so i just watched first few epi and cudnt figure out why it got high rating.

but Cg, try a Reply 1997. its good and different from public dramas. i also enjoy Liar Game ,Three Musketeers and Ex-Girlfriend Club. Now hooked with Oh My Ghostess and later will watch 2o agains. err so many dramas to watch. :D

Miseang was the mist successful show with a 7 rating I think.

Basically if a cable show hits 4-5 its a success. Its an equivalent of a 20-30 rating on public tv.

Shows that hit between 3-4 are moderate success; equivalent to 10-20 on public but has a chance of being axed on cable.

If the show falls below 3; its days are numbered.

It's good they keep Ha Woo Jin's hairstyle,.. Hehe, it's just script reading, but their expression are so funny, and they seem so happy,
If I can't get liar game season 2 this year, hope this drama will be a best one.
Can't wait to watch, ^_^

Why oh why is Lee Sangyoon so adorable. Those dimples are seriously swoonworthy. Can't wait to see how this show goes (please, please, better than high society, and the time we weren't in love). And tvN? Can we please have a second season of Liar Game? Yes? Please? With a dimply Ha Woojin on top?

Cable ratings are sometimes equated to 6x ratings on public broadcasting.

Hence anything above 2 percent is considered a moderate hit. Oh my ghostess just reached 3.6% last week so its considered above 20% in standard ratings. Its another hit for the station.

Highest rated TV series ever on Tvn is Reply 1994. It hit 14.1% peak ratings and 11.9 on avg ratings followed by Misaeng.

Artistes, scriptwriters and PDs who are established names are all flocking to cable dramas now as its less restrictive creatively and bow less to ratings and advertisers pressure.

The quality has been outstanding esp with TVN, OCN and JTBC.

Can't wait for this one! Choi Ji Woo is so wonderful. She really had my heart as The Suspicious Housekeeper, a drama that didn't get nearly the love it deserved, IMO. Her two leading men are swoon worthy, too, especially the prof with the dimples. I'm mystified as to why Sohn Na Eun, as the son's girlfriend, and not the son, was given so much space in this promo. She's just an idol actress with not a lot of acting experience. What was thT about?

Choi Jiwoo, Choi Wonyoung, and Lee Sangyoon are so adorable and you can feel the cast and crew's chemistry! This is definitely going to be a good one!

Naeun has had a good handful of acting experience and she definitely has improved in two years, especially since she is majoring in acting. She actually is pretty decent and her character probably is a big role in the drama. She IS part of the main cast, so just because she's an idol actress, it does not mean anything. The role her character plays does not seem like a typical idol role. There are going to be tons more of promos with everyone in it, so stop having such prejudice against her.

I am also really looking forward to Kim Minjae, as well the rest of the cast. Not to mention, he is a rookie actor which makes it so neat.

This drama has a great cast with sold acting from each artiste. I hardly watch K dramas but LSY was impressive in My Daughter, Seyoung. CWY, I've seen him some dramas before, his execution of his characters are always quite good. The other 2 young artistes would definitely benefit with their experiences in this dramas, working with great actors. As for CJW, I've watched her in Can't Lose, a rom com. Although most people associate her with melo, but interpreting No Ra should be no problem and will be quite interesting. Here is a good script. Can't wait for it to be on air! ^^
