The Time I’ve Loved You 7000 Days’ star-crossed lovers

Maybe they’re more weather-crossed than star-crossed, but it’s a really cute concept. The first teaser is out for The Time I’ve Loved You, 7000 Days, SBS’s new weekend romance starring Ha Ji-won (Empress Ki) and Lee Jin-wook (Three Musketeers). The remake of the Taiwanese drama In Time With You is about two friends who just can’t seem to be on the same page at the same time when it comes to their feelings.
The drama is about a pair of best friends of 17 years, who turn 34 and start feeling the pressure to get married. And in the process of trying to help each other find their perfect match, they’ll discover that their feelings for each other are more complicated than they realized. Yoon Kyun-sang (Pinocchio) co-stars as a carefree pianist who will romance Ha Ji-won, Chu Soo-hyun (Pinocchio) plays a co-worker that’ll have a loveline with Lee Jin-wook, and Kang Rae-yeon (Lie to Me) plays a classmate who harbors a one-sided love for Lee Jin-wook and has always been jealous of Ha Ji-won.
The production has had its fair share of setbacks with PD Jo Soo-won (Pinocchio, I Hear Your Voice) leaving after a disagreement on the direction of the script, only to return when the writer (Full House’s Min Hyo-jung) was replaced. Now writers Jung Do-yoon (Gumiho: Tale of the Fox’s Child, Baby-Faced Beauty) and Lee Hana (Sly and Single Again) are onboard, the production has FINALLY begun to shoot, and yay — it looks like a breezy summer romance.
The teaser is a funny split-screen of the two leads always being counter to each other: He likes the sun, she likes the rain, whenever he’s ready to go out, she’s staying in, and vice versa. It’s a cute way to illustrate their 17 years of missed timing, along with the literal bonk on the head from their age serving as a catalyst for the stormy weather to come. And really, all it takes is Ha Ji-won in a sunny yellow dress to make me think of happy things. Summer rain, rainbows, kittens, romance. Mission accomplished.
The Time I’ve Loved You, 7000 Days airs on Saturdays and Sundays beginning June 27.

A carefree pianist who's also a chaebol? Or were all the initial character descriptions thrown out the window when the writer was replaced? This is shaping up to be nothing like the original. At least Chu Soo Hyun as Lee Jin Wook's co-worker matches Maggie. As much as I love Hyung, Yoon Kyun Sang looks way too young for Ha Ji Won.

May watch this because of Ha Ji Won. Still disappointed that it stars opposite Lee Jin Wook. He always comes off so stiff from all the dramas that I've seen him in and I've seen plenty of his dramas. -_-

This teaser grossly oversimplifies the characters into caricatures when the Taiwanese version had such depth to the characters that they were, for the most part, realistic feeling and had much similarities between the leads. This teaser sets the bar a bit lower than I expected so hopefully the actual show will perform better.

Nah! as much as i love ITWY, the story was slow for love part.. but thank God, it was only 13 episodes, hehe.. i hope this time, their love comes fast :)

But those 13 episodes were 1.5 hours long, so it was the equivalent of a 20 episode K Drama anyway. I absolutely love ITWY, but like almost every T-Drama it was too long. This remake has zero appeal for me so far.

I wished they could have cut away a great portion of You Qing and her slimy ex and Da Ren making friends with the Singapore couple no one cared about.
The drama would have been much more bearable had it been 2 episodes shorter.
Though I still love it to bits and it remains one of my favorite Taiwanese films.

i'm basicly not too excited about this drama, i try to watch taiwan version but i couldn't pass ep 1 but i like Lee jin wook, his last 2 drama nine time travel n the three musketeers is really good drama, that make me check all his drama mostly quite good n the story not typicall, I like many HJW drama too but she doesn't make me check all his drama, mostly i love another charracter in her drama.
Lee jin wook is the one that attract me to watch this drama but if the story bad i couldnt watch it even for him, story is important to me

I'm confused about the characters now. So there are now 2 female 2nds, and Yoon Kyun-sang plays the romancer, as opposed to Choi Jung Won who's described as the Ex. So have they taken Sunny's character and made him irrelevant and instead put a chaebol in his place?

Eh, I'm not expecting much of this show in terms for being like the original anymore so I'm just gonna watch at as an easy breezy k-romcom, which is what it looks like. Ha Ji Won is soooo pretty!! I wonder which fountain of youth she drinks from?

I like anything with Ha Ji Won and I will definitely watch this. There is a reason why they call this a REMAKE and I'm not gonna be expecting this to be exactly the same as the TW version.

that's really disappointing... thanks for pointing that out. watched Jinx Jenkins, Lucky Lou now and it seems they've taken the beginning of that animation. Both the part with something dropping on his head and the umbrella being blown to the right are exactly the same. I'm having a It's Okay It's Love deva vu.....

Well, could it be that SBS bought the rights already? I mean the drama itself is an adaptation, the song (Rebound by Julian Moon) is also not a special made OST like other dramas mostly having, as it was already there. Me thinks SBS/the producers just bought them all coz they have no time left to do so.

I am mostly fine with adaptations. However they change the original story, the original one will still be there for me to enjoy. The new one can't take away that. So, I am really optimist about this. If this can keep the spirit of the first one, it's going to be amazing. I would love for this to be a great adaptation. And if it's not... That's okay too. I can go and rewatch In Tıme With You instead.

As someone had pointed out, the TW version was painfully slow. Hope they don’t copy it wholesale, frame by frame. I’m treating this as a completely new drama, a remake or whatever we label it, without the need to look backwards to compare it with a what-had-been. It should re-tell the story differently. One wish is that this is something light.

Really hope this remake will do the original justice. Usually not a fan of T-dramas, but In Time With You had awesome characters that felt very realistic. The plot was based on a simplistic concept, but the emotions conveyed were much more. Really looking forward to seeing Ha Ji Won again though! And the older brother from Pinocchio was amazing! If y'all haven't watched the original, I encourage you to check it out.
