Boy-crazy ghostess runs amok in tvN’s Oh My Ghostess

Muahaha, Kim Seul-gi’s ghostess character definitely comes out the winner in this deal: She gets to possess Park Bo-young’s body, run around town living out every single one of her wildest boy-crazy wishes, and doesn’t have to deal with any of the consequences afterward. There’s gotta be a catch, right? Oh right, I guess the catch is that she’s dead.
The latest teasers for tvN’s new supernatural rom-com Oh My Ghostess are as fun and zippy as I’d hoped the show would be. I love how much fun Kim Seul-gi is having as the libido-driven virgin ghost, and how Jo Jung-seok has to spend one of the teasers acting as if nothing is happening while she hangs off of him, grabs his ass, and sneaks a kiss. It’s too cute.
The series is about a shy wallflower assistant chef, played by Park Bo-young, who’s cursed with the ability to see ghosts. It’s a gift passed down from her shaman grandmother, which it makes her very susceptible to possession (the third teaser below has her possessed by a swearing ghost, an ajusshi ghost, and a baby ghost, among others), and Kim Seul-gi is a virgin ghost who runs around possessing random women so that she can seduce men.
Park Bo-young has a crush on Jo Jung-seok, the hotshot chef who does nothing but yell at her in the kitchen, and it looks like she also has a thing for Im Joo-hwan, the nice guy cop who’s totally her style. Her personality changes completely when she’s possessed by Kim Seul-gi, turning her into a peeping tom in the men’s showers (hee), and romance begins when she suddenly becomes very forward around the men in her life.
Oh My Ghostess airs on Fridays and Saturdays beginning July 3. Can’t. Wait.

And a good singer, too! She was on King of Mask Singer and was great. There's nothing she can't do, apparently. Her interview afterward was so weird, she seemed very shy and polite, completely unlike her drama characters.

Haha, I just realized Im Joo Hwan and Jo Jung Seok are being re-united. Kinda want a meta-joke from them about their performance arts school days. I can only wish for such things.

I love Jo Jung Suk and Im Jo Hwan since What's Up. I love Park Bo Young in A Warewolf Boys. I love Kim Seul Gi in Flower Boys Next Door and beloved she in The Meirmaid. The teasers look very funny. I'M ON BOARD !!!

Watched A Werewolf Boy for Song Joongki but ended up girlcrushing on Park Boyoung. And Jo Jungseok was my favorite character in The Face Reader. Yay.

Omg, I am so ridiculously excited for this. The premise sounds fantastic, all the promo material has been really cute, and I LOVE Jo Jung-seok and Kim Seul-gi. Im Joo-hwan is great too. (It's probably a good sign for this project that the thing I'm *least* squealy and excited about at this point is Park Bo-young?)

It's the first time since I Hear Your Voice. that I've liked all the cast. I don't even know which one I love more...It's so tough with a cutie pie like Park Bo-young, a heartthrob like Jo Jung-seok, a hoot like Kim Seul-gi and....OMO, TEAM PARK-KYUUUUUUUUU!

Is it a trademark for Kim Seul Gi having those dark eye circles? It makes me remembering fun days watching Flower Boy Next Door and her shouting "Riiiighhht noooow!". But why she always has dark circles? Did she spend her past days daydreaming and writing a how-to-seduce-a-man book? I bet she is happy now that she has the chance to practice that. kekeke

I really like TvN. Seriously. Most of the fun I had watching recent drama lately has came from their shows. I would just have like that they don't cut 4 ep short Ex-Girlfriend Club, that has been for me the most fun I had watching a drama in 2015 for now. I'll try this one for sure though
