Sung Joon and UEE pucker up for High Society’s poster shoot

Yup, Chaebol’s Daughter has changed its title again, but on the upside, High Society is substantially better than the totally nondescript True Romance. Whatever it’s called, this drama has picked one hell of an inaugural promo run: The first set of stills feature a gussied-up Sung Joon (Hyde, Jekyll, Me) and UEE (Ho-gu’s Love) about to lock lips for the drama’s poster shoot. Whoever thought to start a drama shoot with kisses is an evil genius. I might send a fruit basket.
Never mind that technically, UEE’s character is a chaebol heiress who hides her true identity and poses as a poor girl working part-time jobs. Or that Sung Joon’s character is a jaded guy from a dirt-poor family with a chip on his shoulder about the filthy rich. The poster concept seems to ignore the drama’s entire premise in favor of fancy duds and a literal take on High Society, not that I’m paying close attention to anything but lips.
The new SBS Monday-Tuesday drama comes from the team behind A Warm Word and co-stars Park Hyung-shik (What’s With This Family) and Im Ji-yeon (Obsessed) in a melodrama about whether love can conquer money.
The heroine wants to find true love with someone who doesn’t see her as just her bank account, and the hero doesn’t believe in love at all. Angst is sure to ensue, but maybe now that we have the assurance that they’ll kiss and make up, the pain doesn’t seem so bad.
High Society follows Heard It Through the Grapevine in June.

In the first shot, it is obvious she has hyper-extended elbows. Not too common, although one of my daughters has 'em (it means the elbows bend past straight, and it looks a little odd but I guess feels just fine).

It's like saying UEE has reached the maximum level of pretty, she can't imagine UEE (or anyone) getting prettier than that. But then UEE shows up like this and further raises the bar. :D

This is the first drama since Healer ends that I really look forward to ! Because of Sung Joon and my favorite Flower boy band ! The story doesn't sound very exciting for me... but the chemistry seems to be there :)

Hope this will finally be a good drama for Sung Joon after a string of "meh" and downright awful ones...guy deserves a break. Besides, I love him. Fingers crossed this drama delivers the goods.

I don't like her face colour. I think the makeup artists are going overboard with the bb or cc. And that dress kind of looks awkward since it tends to bunch up in the most unflattering places.
But I do like their chemistry and the almost kissing!

Her hair looks unhealthy and her eyes are protruding too. I'm puzzled why so many think she's pretty in this shoot. But ok, somebody is going to comment that she is definitely prettier than I am... Just saying that she is good-looking but not thaaat pretty in these particulate photos.

I've always liked her until she did hogu's love..that role was clearly too challenging for her and her face looks weird when she tries to act becuase of her recent surgical proceedures..she is not as pretty as she used to be I think.

I like everything about the photoshoot! Although it's typical as any kdrama, I like these type of reverse-Cinderella stories (reminds me of Tatta Hitotsu No Koi).

Some of the shots need to be retaken. I'm surprised no one seems to be bothered by them.
The one with UEE standing alone on the balcony. Due to her double-jointed elbow bending outwards, it looks like it's a shot of her back with her head doing an Excorcist 180 degree turn.
The one with UEE pulling him in for a kiss - cross eyed!!

High Society is DEFINITELY, definitely a better drama title.
Gah I literally squealed out loud when I first saw the photos! Both looking so fine together! Hope the OTP in the drama lives up to this wonderful photoshoot. I'm SO GLAD Sung Joon is sticking to this shorter hairstyle of his! Though that boy could rock anything <3 Uee is too pretty.
Can't wait for this drama already I need my weekly dose of Sung Joon stat ahhhh.
