Okay, Kim Sun-ah looks way too glamorous in these Masked Prosecutor stills to be a detective on the job — more like a fashion model posing in a cop-themed shoot, maybe — but I’m certainly not going to complain about her kicking ass and fighting crime. And Joo Sang-wook should always play comically arrogant types, forever and ever. Now, the actual mask, I could take or leave, but that hilarious swagger and adorkable hotness? Yes, please, can I have some more?
Masked Prosecutor premieres on May 20 on KBS.

She had plastic surgery right? she looks so much different from her past dramas. I don't mind plastic surgery though as long as she can emote properly... and why she keeps pouting her lips??

I'd say it is her jawline. Sigh. Couldn't recognise her at all until I googled the name. I love Joo Sang Wook playing the dork, but I worry that I will be too distracted by before/after thoughts when she comes on screen. That luchador mask better keep me focused :P

Don't know if KSA got PS or not, but the jawline can be affected due to weight loss/gain.
Anyhow, it's bad enough when teens/early 20s actresses (much less actors) do the lame "fish-lips", but geeze, almost 40 and still doing it?

Oh, no...not the cosmetic surgery issue AGAIN! Who does not have an aesthetic procedure in this particular industry? Even girls and boys in their twenties have somekind of a light(?) make-over. Everybody is guilty of being vain, especially actors...or it could be the price they have to pay for working in this field. Let's move on...

I don't think anyone is having an issue with plastic surgery. We all know it's very common in this kind of industry. Why should anyone admit to having surgery done? They don't need to. Some looks better and more confident after but when things goes wrong it could ruin someone's career. The pressure to look good/perfect comes with the territory I guess.
Korea has some amazing beauty products that can improve one's appearance. I love Korean brand mineral masks. Amazing stuff! Makes my face looks fresh and younger.
Make-up and weight loss can make a bigger difference. I didn't believe it before but I do now.

True. She look so great, so happy for her. Though I agree that ps can backfire esp if it's overdone. I'm still mourning on Han Ji min old face coz she was perfect before on Giant but now on her latest drama KMHM her face look weird it's kinda distracting and I think it made her hard to emote.

I don't know how old you are, but after a certain age there are NO miraculous products no matter how much money you are willing to pay. Believe me! Even BB cream was invented in Asia for women after plastic surgery. Yep, after thirty the only sure way is the knife and injections.

@korini Yes! I agree that are no miraculous products out there that would give anyone a perfect nose, perfect jaw-line, bigger breasts etc.
I don't wear make-up (brown skin island girl living in California) but I have seen great results on friends who uses beauty products from Korea. The stuff that I'm obsess with is the facial cleansing products and skin care routine. I don't have flawless skin like most Koreans I know but my skin looks 100 x better now than before.

I have followed her down thru the years. She is my favorite actress. She looks the same as she did in all of her dramas excepts she gained weight for Sam Soon. SHe had to have her teeth worked on because of jaw issues (that has really changed her look). It is the weight loss and she is older. She is a wonderful actress. THat is the most important thing.

Can we stop this PS issues, it's rude if you judge before knowing her history.
I would said No...as a fan who followed her through the years...I said she had this 3D face that would make her looks different from different angle, because she had unsymmetrical face just like mine, my left jaw wider than right jaw and of course after losing weight you wouldn't looks the same like before you gain weight...and she just looks like she used to...
yes she looks little bit different after she braced her teeth (you'll find the article about this), she even use retainer when filming City hall in 2009 (how many times I have to say it??!!), that's why she looks different around 2010-2011 and from her 1st drama Scent of a woman after she release her bracket until now she just looks the same. Behave please!! *sorry for bringing this again.

Um, how is wondering if someone had PS misbehaving? It's not like it's some dirty secret in SK anyway. The person even said they do not mind PS. People will keep bringing it up because they are genuinely curious since she really does look different to some people, it's human nature.

You're right, but this is an old news, and this PS issue came out again...and she/he accused before going through her history...to another actress or actors who looks different either I wouldn't said that frontal, because I don't know the truth...and she/he forgot that make up did can change facial feature, and human nature has it limit. Especially when in an article that has no relation with.

Posts about PS in this thread or any other threads are beginning to sound like broken records. I am extremely grateful to DB for keeping her blog strictly for discussion of dramas. Posts like these are irrelevant and redundant by now.

it was probably non-invasive which then it can't be call plastic surgery because no cut was made.jawline can be sharpen by injection of Botox to relax n shrink the muscle we use for chewing then other injection can be done at the cheek area for lifting. and of course nearly all of them will do laser lifting like ultera or thermage, you just zap zap for half an hour and the skin lifts itself naturally over a year. all these aesthetic enhancements cost few thousand to maybe 10 or 20k, a small cost to earn the drama/movie paycheck.

This can never be truer! Joo Sang-wook is the COOLEST thing as a dork! AS. A. DORK. He looks really pathetic, foolish, monchongi in a serious role eg. Good Doctor, Jo Min-woo (Giant) or Kim Gang-mo (Accidential Couple aka. That Fool). But in Cunning Single Lady, we're all like, "More Joo Sang-wook goodies, please!"

Never would have thought being a dork was sexy but JSW somehow brings sexy to dorkiness.
And I LOVED Cunning Single Lady because of JSW. He made the whole show. Same with Birth of a Beauty (which I saw first and is the reason I immediately went and watched CSL). Can you tell I have a huge JSW crush right now?

Holy shizzles. Joo Sang Wook is totally rocking his new character. He is one hell of a fine dorky but super sexy actor.
Ok enough of drooling.
I want this drama to hurry up already. I have missed some funny quirky drama. Cant wait for my bloody exams to be over, so I can catch up on all the dramas I have missed this season.

As long as the PS makes you look better then cut, slice, pull, suck, and implant away.
Let's just stop pretending like the men aren't doing it as much as the ladies. Male celebs are more likely to get work done they can pass off as a result of diet & exercise. Things like abs, calves, pectorals.Those chins, jawlines, and perfect hairlines are created under the same knives as the ones the women go under.

His hair reminds me of Ten 2. (Ten 3 pls!) and The picture where they were looking inside the cabinet reminds me of Vampire Prosecutor (VP3 pls!)
JSW should always play these kind of characters since its more closer to his real life personality which means dork, handsome, sexy.

She looks the same. Same as Mirae of City Hall, same as Lee Yeon Jae of Scent of a Woman. I can spot her out easily if she's with a group of actresses in a photoshoot. She's just slimmed down a lot and she looks gorgeous along with it.
