Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for the first day of School

Based on the first teaser, I’d guess that Who Are You—School 2015 is going to be lighter than its predecessors in the School franchise, even though we’ve been told repeatedly that this year’s spin is the mystery genre angle. It’s just that Bruno Mars doesn’t exactly scream mystery thriller. Maybe Angry Mom really did corner the dark teen angst market, and we’re due for some light and cute high school fun?
KBS’s new Monday-Tuesday drama brings us a fresh-faced cast of rookies, anchored by child-actress-turned-leading-lady Kim So-hyun (Girl Who Sees Smells, Reset). She plays a set of twins whose fates get swapped when one twin mysteriously disappears and the other transfers to a new school. Nam Joo-hyuk (Surplus Princess) is the golden boy athlete with hidden warmth (hidden under many many layers of ice, naturally), and Yook Sung-jae (Plus Nine Boys) is the bad boy rebel with “crazy power” (hell if I know what that means).
The teaser introduces the characters at age eighteen, and presents it as the time when everyone’s at his or her prettiest, in that youthful innocent way where every flaw and misstep is just as lovable, and the closer you look, the prettier everyone is. The captions end with: “You are too. Eighteen. When I was prettiest.”
Kim So-hyun kicks off the teaser with a daily goodbye to her mother that she’ll be off to school, and we get glimpses of her on the verge of tears arguing with Nam Joo-hyuk, who offers to take a hit if it’ll make her feel better, and then Yook Sung-jae swinging by a rope in a hospital gown to see her. Um, maybe “crazy” isn’t so figurative? And I totally squealed to see Lee Pil-mo as this year’s teacher, reprising his Pinocchio-style gruff but good-hearted mentor character. Overall the teaser told me far less than the casting articles have about the story to come, but the sunny youthful vibe is pretty inviting.

Kim So Hyun is a good actress, but she's cast in everything... They need some variety. I know most of the actors from more than 1 drama....

She hasn't been that active for the past two years though. The only time she did a lot of dramas was in 2012 and all of her roles were super small.

Reminds me of an old Taiwanese drama "Bump Off Lover" where it's about a set of twin whom one got murder and the other went to look for the killer. It's a dark drama that explores ugly truths. I actually like the drama since it was different from the dramas that were aired at that time.
I am curious to see the execution of this drama. I really adore Kim So Hyun so I hope this project will be a success for her. :)

Is it just me, or does this seem a little too fluffy?
I was apprehensive after seeing the OTT flour-and-eggs stills, and from this teaser it looks like they're going more down the Boys Over Flowers-ish shoujo manga school life route with a little mystery thrown in, than anything like School 2013.
but it has Kim So-hyun so I have to watch.

Those were exactly my thoughts. This isn't a bad teaser by any means but it's definitely not what I have been expecting from another installment of the School series. I'm afraid the realistic, slice-of-life tone that I personally loved and made the success of its predecessor won't be present here /sighs
but KSH needs the love and support so I'll give it a try anyway

I don't like that blonde hair, so I'll go for the athlete lol. It looks cute and light which is just how I like it.
I wish HS dramas would focus less on the darker side of being 18 but instead do what DH did. Dreaming big, working hard to accomplish it, proving yourself, friendships along the way, stuff like that. Bullying is a huge issue, but it's not the only thing that defines High School life. *shrugs*

i agree with you! the 2013 series was very mundane in the most beautiful sense, it had so much heart as well. i hope it doesn't mock what school 2013 wonderfully built back then. this has lee pil mo though, there's some hope right there..

imagine if lee yubi agreed to take on school 2015 and all the while we'll see her amd pilmo still as yoon yurae-cap hwang instead of student-teacher lol

3 things:
1-did the Han Groo CF make anyone else laugh? It equated to "Chicks dig dudes with nice-smelling cars. ~Oppa!~" (...though that's not entirely wrong, it's just courtesy. No 'Oppa' for you.)
2-maybe blondie is secretly a magician, whose "crazy power" helps him to make people literally disappear, but he's only just becoming aware of this so after practising his magic trick with twin no.1 he has no idea where she is, and flirts with twin no. 2 Tarzan style to see if she knows anything.
3-AGHH overplayed Bruno Mars song! Excuse me while I wash my ears.

I hope this one focuses more on everyone. I do feel like School 2013 short-changed a lot of characters and I got pretty bored (I think Jang Nara and Daniel Choi pulled me through they were great).
