Shin Mina to co-star with Lee Seon-kyun for quirky romance

This isn’t a pairing my mind would have immediately gravitated toward, but I think I can get behind Shin Mina (Arang and the Magistrate) teaming up with Lee Seon-kyun (A Hard Day) for a quirky romance. I love them both separately, so why not together?
She’s not confirmed yet but is reportedly in final negotiations to take on Love Is a Virus, the film wherein a virus strikes that makes its victims exhibit physical symptoms that mimic being in love. That doesn’t sound too bad, except for the part where if the victim doesn’t fall in love, the virus kills. I have no idea if that is supposed to make any sort of scientific sense, but it sounds absurdly intriguing, and if the film strikes the right tone (humor is necessary, no?), I could see it being really interesting.
Lee Seon-kyun was cast in December to take the leading man role of a researcher studying the virus. The role Shin Mina has been offered is of Patient Zero, and she’ll fall in love with our hero. Oh, like that’s such a conflict. If you pointed a gun and told me I had to fall in love with Lee Seon-kyun or die, I’m pretty sure I could figure a way to make this work. For science and posterity and all that, suuuure.
Love Is a Virus plans to begin shooting in the spring, to release later in this year.

I love her especially her dimples. She looks so sweet and one of korean actress with looks and talents. But, I want Shin Mina to be paired with Eric Mun since Eric-Yoon Eun Hye might not be happen forever…TT TT…
Anyway, good luck for her. Indeed watching everything she's in.

Any hoo - this is cute pairing - and a crazy plot and good to see Lee Seon-Kyun back in rom-com movie. Shin Mina is such a claasically elegant lady!

I'm also dying for SMA to come back to the small screen, but she's a selective actress who doesn't (with reason) settle down with just any project. I hope a drama worth her participation comes along this year *fingers crossed*

Well, Lee Seon-Kyun seems to be able to make any pairing work with him, including with Lee Yeon-hee and Choi Hang-kee who are not anyone's favorites, so I have no doubt he and SMA would be very good together. Can't wait!!!

I think the conflict is with the doctor character. As he finds himself falling for her, will he selfishly want her to be cured instantly by making her love him back? Or will he think of the greater good for humanity, especially if he is near to perfecting the cure, and heal her conventionally, but perhaps not quite as quickly and with enormous risks.

Would be a great pairing and right up SMA's alley in taking quirkier roles.
Like as others have stated, do miss her on the small screen (her appearance on RM was a nice surprise, but not nearly enough).

I heard she's already confirmed for the role! I really really really want to see her back in a new drama too but yeah, she's really selective with her projects and I can understand if she's choosing movies for now. Plus I read she's also a fan of Lee Seon Kyun so I think this also influenced her decision.
Will really look forward to this however hard it is to access movies (My Love My Bride still doesn't have eng subs).
