Bickering behind the scenes of Falling for Innocence

Augh, why is this show not a rom-com? Look how cute they’d be! Apparently JTBC’s new spring Friday-Saturday drama Falling for Innocence is going to ignore real-life bromance and adorableness in favor of melodrama. (But why? Can’t you see it goes against nature?) It doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the backstage goofing-off before things get serious though, since we’ll need all the bro-love we can get before Jung Kyung-ho (Endless Love) and Yoon Hyun-min (Discovery of Romance) start fighting over Kim So-yeon (I Need Romance 3) for real.
The drama is about a man who gets a heart transplant and does a complete 180-degree personality change because of it. Jung Kyung-ho stars as a cold, heartless (hur) corporate headhunter who gets a new heart that has “cellular memory” and thus beats wildly for one woman alone. That’d be Kim So-yeon, who plays a sharp, capable executive secretary named… wait for it… Soon-jung (innocence). Of course she is. She’s strong-minded and great at her job, and earned the nickname “Iron Secretary” for being strong enough to deal with anything.
Yoon Hyun-min plays her childhood friend, described as a charismatic man with some inner pain. Uh, that’s vague. But if they’re lifelong friends, I already feel bad for Jung Kyung-ho even though he’s the lead. Yoon Hyun-min is already so damn lovable, plus he has to compete with a guy who’s known her his whole life? Okay, I’m not THAT worried — he has Fate (and top billing) on his side.
Gong Hyun-joo (Hotel King) plays a corporate headhunter, and Jo Eun-ji (Greatest Marriage) is a detective in the violent crimes unit. I guess that means there will be a crime to solve? Park Yong-gyu (She’s So Lovable), Ahn Seok-hwan (King’s Face), and Lee Shi-un (Modern Farmer) also co-star.
The “romantic healing drama” will be about the hero’s transformation — in the process of falling in love with the heroine, he turns into an innocent lovelorn romantic, which is completely out of character for him. It sounds a little like A New Leaf crossed with Summer Scent, just with less amnesia. It’ll be penned by a new writer, and directing is the PD of Big Man, which oddly enough is also about a man and a heart transplant.
Falling for Innocence follows Maids on Fridays and Saturdays in April.

LOL! I am so with you. Seriously, this plot does not interest me in the slightest. In fact, I actively try to avoid dramas like this. But with those 3 in it, they could be re-making Dr. Jin and I'd be on board!

On the heels of jin gu getting cast as a police detective who ONLY appears on the first few eps and then only in flashbacks, my guess is jin gu will be in love with kim so yeon and then DIES, and then jung kyung ho gets his heart that's in love with kim so yeon.

I don't even mind the fact that it's a melodrama, I just prefer my melos with a liberal dose of action. Plots including but not limited to gangsters, conmen, assassins, and other members of the criminal underworld. I happen to prefer my tears mixed with blood. Especially with these three, they are meant to be heartfelt badasses.

Maybe? But actually I like the olive suit at least. I wouldn't mind a throwback drama if it includes suits. Maybe it'll feel like a noir? That would fit a melo.

I love the cast but ugh, I don't like Kim So Yeon's styling because it ages her.
Jung and Yoon are adorable and I do wish this was a rom-com or more Bromance for the two. Or if Kim Seul Gi was somehow magically paired with Yoon, hehe.

Kim So Yeon looks like a total ajhumma with that hair. Arghh she is so pretty.. why did they have to ruin it WTf! I probably won't be watching this drama for that reason. I'm very picky when it comes to hairstyles. tsk tsk.

AHHH!!!! can't wait for this. Jung Kyungho and Yoon Hyunmin had such an awesome bromance in Heartless City. that is where i first noticed Yoon Hyunmin and i've kind of loved him in everything i have seen him in since then (Discovery of Romance, Witch's Romance)

OK I can see these two guys together. They worked together before. Nobody watched Cruel City but Yoon Hyun-min played the faithful friend and he was impressive. I've liked him ever since. Jung Kyung ho I'm ok with but for me he's not leading man material. He's not that handsome and he's a one note actor, or two note since he's Korean. He can stare and cry. If this drama cast YHM as lead then I'd try it. Otherwise it does look like a pass for me too.

Okay, I'm definitely not watching this but I'm happy to see Yoon HyunMin steadily rising up the ranks to second lead status. Hopefully whenever he gets a leading role, it will be on a show that actually interests me. Fighting, Spinach!

I forgot the existence of the drama until this post. So low on hype.
I'm curious if it's pre-filmed? It's airing April, there are already official stills with no overseas shoot. Maybe the delay in Maids will allow them to complete the drama before even airing.

Falling for Innocence {Soon-Jung} grabbed hold of my attention from the start with the casting news of Jung Kyung-Ho, Kim So-Yeon, & Yoon Hyun-Min.
I love a good rom-com.
Melodramas are not really my cup of tea. But every now and then a good one comes along that's worth the pain, angst, and the shedding of a few tears.
The opportunity to witness this trio of talented actors appearing in the same drama together and involved in a romantic triangle - well let's just say that I'll be hard pressed to skip & miss out on this once in a lifetime experience.

The plot and characterization do not interest me even a bit, to be very honest. But the cast totally won me over and made me wanna cry because they're going to be rivals. SIGHS. I'm going to pulling my hair out as I'm trying to deny the bromance </3
I'm not sure whether I'll be a devoted fan of the show, but I'll surely tune in for these three!

What the fuck? Even the visuals feel like this was made in the '80s! I wonder when JTBC will get out of its slump again. I mean, "Maids" is good and all, but the fact they switched around their programming and reduce their lineup doesn't bode well.

This sounds like a drama that already happened...or I could be wrong lol This whole cellular memory thing sounds very familiar.
I adore the cast. However, I sense that I will have severe second lead syndrome because I am a sucker for lifelong friendships. I hope they don't make him crazy just so the main lead looks better.
Anyways, I hope this is good so I can watch these beautiful people on my screen for weeks!

This drama sounds like the opposite of what I usually like that is rom coms but I was like wth??? when the premise for KMHM was out thinking it sounded depressing and now I like it so I dont know anymoree...! it was LOVE at 1st sight with Yoon Hyunmin in Witchs Romance and now idk if I could bear makjang just to see him... I just now realize Im yet to watch a project with Jung Kyung-ho on it!
