Lee Seung-gi and Moon Chae-won’s just-friends romance

I love that the entire concept for this romantic comedy movie is bemoaning these “some” kind of relationships, where you’re dating but not dating, friends but not friends, and something but nothing is going on all at the same time. Because that’s just confusing, people. Today’s Love stars Moon Chae-won as the girl who’s got Lee Seung-gi’s heartstrings wrapped around her fingers, and tells the funny (or sad?) story of their constantly confusing something that isn’t dating, but isn’t nothing either.
Obviously I’d watch a rom-com starring these two actors any day, but the premise appeals to me, and I think it suits Seung-gi best when he’s playing the comical hapless beta male, a la My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho. The rom-com setup seems pretty close to the My Sassy Girl dynamic, which should be loads of fun.
Moon Chae-won stars as a weather forecaster with a foul mouth and bad drinking habits who likes to hang out with her bestest buddy Lee Seung-gi, an elementary school teacher who’s been crushing on her for eighteen years. They do everything any other couple would do… but when it comes down to it, she admits that he doesn’t turn her on.
In the meantime, he gets to watch her date other men and listen to her cry about them on his shoulder. We get fun cameos from Jung Joon-young and Lee Seo-jin as rival boyfriends, and Seo-jin has the hilarious line in the trailer: “You’re like a shrimp chip. My hands just keep reaching for you.” Pfft.
I love that after Seung-gi guested on Three Meals a Day and got labeled as Seo-jin’s slave, he’s now referred to as a slave in the trailer for his movie. The tone turns more heartfelt at the end of the teaser when she says she’s not going to love anymore, and he asks if she even knows what love is before leaving in tears. Somebody give slave-puppy a hug!
Today’s Love opens in theaters January 15.

offscreen , seung gi is so treating mcw like a dude/ girl buddy they are so comfartble so it'll
be totaly beliavble selling a some realationship.
can't help but lol at seung gi's way of promoting the movie on 3 meals a day. hanging the poster on the wall. what happened to subtle seung gi? maybe he was so stressed about cooking and slaving promoting the movie took a backseat.
can't wait for runningman and the movie .

I am way too excited for this movie! Friends-to-lovers relationships are my favourite; the premise is a win. And these two lovely actors are the icing on the cake!

Their chemistry is overflowing off or on screen.
I'm really looking forward to moon chae won's acting. I love it how she always shows another side of herself in every project and she's fantastic as always. I hope the movie will do well..Goodluck to them..

They are cute. They are selling the chemistry. I feel sorry for the guy, though I'm also sure there is a bigger reason behind her rejecting the only person who puts up with her for 18 years. I can't wait to watch.

I love their chemistry on screen through the teasers but their interactions behind the scenes and also at the presscon and the showcase are just much hilarious than that that even make me think "there must somethings happens between them" especially Moon Chae Won LOL.

These kind of comments implying somethings going on between 2 co stars really irritate me. Seung Gi is in a relationship and not the type to cheat. He is very sincere and loyal and I am sure IN LOVE. These two have worked together before and have stayed friendly. They have always had really good chemistry together and are obviously comfortable around each other. I wish we could leave it at that. I would really hate for unfounded rumors to start circulating and fan wars starting. These two actors or their real life partners do not deserve that. I would say that they are just doing a great job of promoting the movie.

urm guys take a anti delulu pill!! they are friends and their ineraction is adorable and refreshing coz it's real compared to costars after doing a project for two weeks acting all bff.
no one is onto each other or have anything shady going on. implying that will only create wanfar for no reason and look bad coz seung gi is taken so shipping is off limit.

I also saw a comment before from Yoona fan,she said that yoona is not happy with this and i asked her how did she exactly know that yoona is not happy with this and she said she know her feelings from woman point of view..She also said that lsg and mcw closeness made her worried for yoona..And I was like ha??Is not that lsg is going cheat..lol..I think it's all bcoz' of their closeness..Yeah,i hope people will stop being worried and i hope that no one will comment again that "there might something between them".

Relax. It took LSG half a decade to win over Yoona. I don't think he'll do anything that would endanger his relationship. Plus, it's part of his clean image.
Now, if LSG and Yoona are no longer dating but the press doesn't know it yet, it's another story. But I like LSG and Yoona together.

They have all been close friends (Moon Chae Won, Lee Seung Gi, Han Hyo Joo) and always hang out together. She's just comfortable with him nothing more. She's like that with Moon Geung Young and Han Hyo Joo too. She was like that with Joo Won and Joo Sang Wook in the later stages if filming Good Doctor. They are just friends and I personally adore their friendship.

In the second trailer, Seung Gi's character bemoans: Only when the woman's heart gets aflutter makes him a man?! Whose heart can be fluttering EVERYDAY?! Just love the way he says those deeply felt lines. And how true, from a guy's perspective, that is. Hahaha.

i love moon2won,they had nice chemistry even though their relationship were more like a brother and sister.Joo Won was asked if who is the actress he wants to work with again and he said MCW bcoz she helps him bring out his full potential as an actor. I really hope they will pair up again together.

What is a beta male anyway? I always hear these terms tossed around--along with alpha and omega personalities, but looking the terms up didn't lead me to understanding them very clearly. (Especially because it seems many people have an opinion on which is better, while I just want to know what it *is*.)
Anyway, this movie looks awesome. I would have gave anything that stars Moon Chae Won a chance, but seeing their chemistry and the movie's interesting premise just make me more souped. Definitely looking forward to this.

hmm not a fan of the premise, think i'll avoid this film.
i don't get the deal with the 'something' relationships, friendzone or whatever you call it. If it's confusing it's because they refuse to acknowledge that liking a person is different from wanting to sleep with them.
I mean he can be upset over her not wanting him in the same way he wants her, but claiming she doesn't know what love is because of that is just arrogant and pretentious. Love is subjective as is attraction and to demand it of others in a form and at the time of your choosing is unreasonable to say the least =.=

Seriously you are talking as if you already watched the movie. Of course there are reasons behind it why they are still in "some" relationship. And how can someone be arrogant and pretentious when they don't know "what love is"?Almost people nowadays don't know the real meaning of love. Hyun Woo said "she don't know what love is referring to her past relationships",maybe it did not work out well and maybe this is also same reason why she did not accepted Junsoo.What if they become a couple and they will just broke up?I think she don't want to happen that coz' she don't want to lose Jun Soo..

I love Lee Seung Gi but this movie is not good at all. It's not the actors but the director who didn't make it. No matter what, I'll support whatever you do, Seung Gi ah. I wish for just one time he acknowledges how much I've been in love with him.

I laughed reading most of the comment discussing LSG's and MCW's relationship. Well, now that LSG is single after the break-up, he can dive into whatever relationship he want with anyone.
Back to the movie, I got myself into MCW fandom and will be searching this movie, in case the place I'm staying in released an official blu-ray or something because it always come with free gift, eg: movie's poster. If not, then I will be a pirate which is su*k.
