Jung Kyung-ho joins Heartless City castmates in drama short

Aw, I love real-life bromance even better than onscreen bromance, and we’re getting a big dose of it from Jung Kyung-ho (Endless Love). He’s making a special appearance in his buddy Yoon Hyun-min’s new drama short House, Mate, an upcoming installment of MBC’s Drama Festival, which highlights up-and-coming writers and directors in short-form dramas.
The two actors became good friends after their 2013 JTBC drama Heartless City, and Jung Kyung-ho is reportedly joining the drama as a show of support for his friend, with no pre-planned character or storyline. Not only that, but Yoon Hyun-min’s costar in the drama also happens to be Nam Gyuri, which makes it one big three-way Heartless City reunion. Meta jokes are not optional at this point.
The drama short stars Yoon Hyun-min as a man who was betrayed by his wife and his best friend (yeouuuch, I hope that’s not the role Jung Kyung-ho is in for), leaving him deeply emotionally scarred. He then meets a woman (played by Nam Gyuri) who shows up like a lighthouse in his life, to guide his path. It’s not a lot of story information to go on, but then, the show is only one hour in total. The stills below are from the drama’s first shoots with the leads.
MBC’s Drama Festival is currently underway on Sunday nights, and House, Mate will air sometime in November. Heartless City fans, mark your calendars!

Oh dear. If Jung Kyung-ho cameos as the "flighty" best friend... maybe with the personality of Yoon Hyun-min's character in Witch's Romance? Hahahaha~

I really liked Heartless City, even in its most convoluted moments. Cool that they became friends in real life; The premise wouldn't interest me at all but I'll watch it for them. If these stills are any indication, the directional style will be worth seeing.

OMO! I just followed him on IG this afternoon (or at least i hope thats his real account :P, im pretty sure it is, maybe). How exciting that he'll be guest appearing on YHM's work!! love them in heartless city <3 feel so bad that endless love is ending a bit sooner than expected :( hope he is on to new drama project soon :)

Jung KyungHo is my favorite Korean actor. His acting is so amazing and excellent. Glad to see him with Nam Gyu Ri and Yoon Hyun Min again. Can't wait to see them. Fightinggggg!!!

Heartless City (aka Cruel City) fans rejoice.
Glad that Jung Kyung-ho & Yoon Hyun-min became friends in real life and have the chance to work together again on another drama. I adore them.
I sincerely hope that once House Mate airs in November it will be easily accessible and subbed for international audiences.

Is it just me or short dramas are getting some big names to star in their production? It's good since it gives new talented PD and writers a chance.
I don't like any of these actors but the lighthouse reference is really sweet. Also, Nam Gyuri looks a lot like Suzy in the first picture. I never saw any resemblance until now.

Oh and Heartless City was an excellent, thrilling drama. It was a bit convoluted at times, but I was able to keep up with it. I recommend it. :D

This is so weird, I was JUST talking about HC.
There aren't enough words that mean awesome to describe the pairing of those two men in that drama. Seeing them together on screen even for an instant could relieve the burden of pain I carry remembering their parting in HC.
