Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara reteam for Drama Festival

They waited twelve years after their first drama to reunite in another, but mere months after that one ended, the Jang Nara and Jang Hyuk pair are coming back for a third outing. It’s not a full-fledged series so don’t get too excited yet, but hey, a reunion is a reunion.
The project is a short drama that’s a part of MBC’s Sunday-night Drama Festival series, titled Old Farewell. Furthermore, the actors are reteaming with their Fated To Love You director, Kim Hee-won. While the Jangs just came off a run playing a couple who married first and then fell in love, the plot of the new project paints them as a divorced couple.
We’re not given anything else to go on, so I’m going to guess that a happily-ever-after isn’t necessarily in the cards for these two, given the title. (I suppose they could be divorced spouses who reunite, but if that were the case I’d expect that to be in the series logline.) But any drama featuring the two of them together ought to be bolstered by their chemistry, and while Fated To Love You had some (big, glaring) points I had issues with, I thought the two leads and the director were great, so I’ll keep an eye out for this one-off special.
Drama Festival—Old Farewell will air on November 9. Meanwhile, Jang Hyuk is currently looking for his follow-up project, while Jang Nara is already at work on hers—her fantasy-romance drama Mr. Baek will air on MBC in mid-November.

I'm so so very happy and glad they are back on screen again, even only one episode is enough, rather than zip. I really like and root for this couple. It's hard for me to let go FTLY as their most recent drama and the best drama of 2014 nothing to compare, tried to start other kdrama but I ended up going back re-watching this famous drama of all time!!!

That is so me too! I am watching FTLY for the 2nd time, I love noticing things I hadn't the first time. There is actually a decent amount of foreshadowing in the series.

The couple with the best chemistry I've ever seen on screen. Seriously, it'll be a huge travesty if they don't get Best Couple during MBC's year end awards for FTLY. Jang couple jjang!

JNR is gonna be pretty busy the next couple of month. She just finished filming her Chinese drama, then she is doing this drama with JH (if I am not mistaken , her filming starts today) and then 'Mr Back'. I hope she is healthy and gets enough rests. Please be healthy JNR. I am happy she has work but at the same time am worried for her health after watching her 'Healing Camp' interview. She seems to suffer from gastric ulcers and irritable bowel syndrome and the rigours of filming does affect her well-being.

Jang Nara is great in 2014 ...hope will be able to see more of her on the dramas screens...really admire n love to see her act ... Hope she will get cast for historical drama as she look great in costume and also action o medical dramas she can be seen wnt to explore in different roles.
