Running Man: Episode 213

Our cast is back with the ladies who left us wanting two weeks ago with their hilarious parodies. Although these actresses may be initially reluctant about getting down and dirty, nothing will stop their inner ferocious competitiveness when they do. It turns out that the women who play those classic vindictive roles are as sweet, adorable, and hilarious as they come, and it’s like our Running Man guys don’t even know what (or who) hit them—literally.

EPISODE 213. Broadcast on September 21, 2014.

We’re re-introduced to today’s lineup of guests we caught a glimpse of two weeks ago (since last week’s broadcast was pre-empted due to the 2014 Asian Games soccer preliminary match): Yoo In-young, Seo Woo, Choi Yeo-jin, Kim Min-seo, and Lee Yuri.

The ladies have their pick among the guys for today’s Couple Race, and I love how Ji-hyo simplifies their choices by taking Suk-jin for herself. Saying that the ladies catch their partners off-guard unawares would be an understatement—particularly for Kwang-soo, who gets hit over the head as a greeting. Oh hai there, Yeo-jin.

Elsewhere, Yuri barks at Gary for eating: “Are you a cow or pig?” Gary yelps defensively, “I’m a gae [dog]!” HA. It’s been a while since I’ve heard lines from Good Doctor, but those are the words Min-seo throws at Jong-kook, and In-young takes out her rage on a flummoxed Haha.

It isn’t long before Haha absorbs himself into the act too, and orders her to pick up one of the bottles she cast aside. She does. Heh. Seo Woo struggles to stay in character in Jae-suk’s presence, since he all but rolls his eyes at her melodramatic performance. Kwang-soo is bewildered by the treatment, and while Gary gets a glass of water thrown in his face, Jong-kook is literally pressed by Min-seo’s declaration of love.

All the women break into smiles as soon as the staff yell “Cut!” on their parodies, and they exchange polite greetings with their partners. Kwang-soo asks why he doesn’t get the chance to exact a little revenge, but he’s pleased when Yeo-jin says she chose him.

I do love how some of the ladies admit that they veered off-script because of their rising emotions, but at least the guys have plenty of stories to tell by the time they’re all gathered together again.

All of our guests have played some emotionally manipulative characters before, though Jae-suk notes how varied their villainous styles are, from aggressive (In-young) to self-pride (Yeo-jin) to destructive (Yuri) to the actual fighter Ji-hyo.

Everyone gripes when they’re told that there’s a second-generation chaebol heir amongst them, except for Jae-suk, who jokingly asks if they enjoy filming at his hotel. Suk-jin one-ups him by telling the others to have their pick of any building in Seoul, but then Jae-suk says he should probably change out of his athletic pants first.

As for today’s Find the Chaebol Race, the first three teams to succeed in the games will acquire hints regarding the mysterious chaebol’s identity; however only the women will see those hints themselves, so it’ll be up to them to team up with the right person, which means there ought to be some teammate switcharoos in the near future.

After telling a smug Suk-jin that he’s considered too old to be a second-generation chaebol, everyone rushes out the door to get to their first mission location. Yuri giggles that she’s probably the strongest out of her fellow guests, and In-young jokes that she’ll look like a nicer person once the makeup comes off (from their various games).

Seo Woo yells at her neighbors that the gas is leaking from their car, only to learn that it was likely the more harmless air conditioner fluid. Jong-kook, however, interprets this as a lie to distract them and tells his teammate Min-seo not to be so naive.

Still, she and Jong-kook arrive first, with Kwang-soo and Yeo-jin not far behind. Seo Woo comes running in her white heels, which she claims she wore because she’s the most petite out of everyone here. Yuri’s also wearing fashionable shoes, and she too is admonished for her choice of footwear.

Here in the muddy fields, the cast takes a minute to admire (or criticize) their miniature model selves which represents their current pairings. Gary’s pleased that his mini-me is pretty handsome, whereas mini Jong-kook has puffed-up cheeks.

Third place Seo Woo reads her hint (“Resembles an animal”) and doesn’t change the lineup. Second place Yeo-jin reads hers (“Wants to be friends with idols”), then switches Kwang-soo out for the other Easy Brother Suk-jin. Lastly, first place Min-seo reads hers (“Released an album”) and leaves the lineup as is.

For their first game, the ladies will assemble on a platform while the men will try to clamber to climb on. They’ll play three rounds and last couple standing wins. Seo Woo’s and Yuri’s shoes are deemed inappropriate for this down and dirty game, and Haha screams that there’s no need to be stylish on this show. Wise words.

Although the ladies opt for waders instead, it takes them a while to get them on. And then Haha finally bursts impatiently, “Let’s play the game already! It’s like there are numerous Suk-jins around!”

He won’t stand for actresses trying to preserve what’s left of their pride on this show, but he soon isn’t the only one when the other guys have to sit to compensate for Seo Woo’s height. Suk-jin realizes, “Ji-hyo was so cool.”

Just then Yuri walks back on her tippy toes, and Gary finds out that his teammate is literally wearing two left waders. Needless to say, the guys are already half-exasperated with their guests even before whistle blows, but when it does, it’s pure chaos on the platform.

In-young gets tossed back and forth until she’s dragged into the water, and whoa—Yuri manages to push Jong-kook out of the way. And everyone else, for that matter. She really wasn’t kidding about her strength, was she?

What the—Yuri then actually uses Kwang-soo like a literal ladder, climbing over him to get to the platform. Our poor Giraffe gets used as a step multiple times thereafter, and the staff have to call a timeout to break up the fight.

Seo Woo claims that the ladies promised not to push each other, which we know is pretty much moot after the fact. The guys confirm that these ladies are definitely vicious, and Jong-kook doesn’t get why this group of ladies won’t just give up.

While it’s still tattletaling time, Suk-jin claims that Seo Woo nearly swore after checking if there were any cameras around. The staff tweak the rules so that any couple not on the platform after 100 seconds is eliminated, and there’s a lot of pushing and yelling in the second round. By the end, Jae-suk and Suk-jin are eliminated.

Now it’s the ladies’ turn to climb on the platform, and Yuri wields red clay against her opponents. She and Min-seo use their strength to climb on top, then Kwang-soo gets his pants pulled down before falling into the water. He’s pushed off again moments later, then waits for the opportune moment to climb up and secure the win with Yeo-jin.

Afterward, third place Yuri reads her hint (“Over 170cm”), which sadly eliminates Haha. She switches Gary for Jong-kook. Min-seo reads hers (“Likes ddakji”), but Yeo-jin’s hint remains a secret.

Yeo-jin questions Kwang-soo in the car, and seems to believe him when he claims to be the most loyal out of the others. Says the Betrayal Icon. Yuri shares a laugh with Gary about her clue that the chaebol’s height eliminates Haha.

In-young is annoyed when she hears that arriving first earns them nothing now, and Haha reveals to the others that she used to be the best fighter at school. Yuri and Seo Woo sprout invisible heels when Suk-jin points out their petite height.

Here, each couple will act out a scene, then run into the car and eliminate all the paper evidence within the time limit (30 seconds) or else be met with a literal downpour. Jae-suk and Seo-woo are up first, and they launch into an impromptu parody of the movie The Housemaid.

What’s hilarious is watching Seo Woo clean the mud with her towel, then screams at Jae-suk for messing around with her when he’s married with a kid. Her added details that she’s poor and has no manager (since she isn’t currently signed with an agency) and mock-slaps Jae-suk away.

She barely lets him get a word in, but that’s when the whistle blows, and they scramble inside the car to start shredding paper. When Jong-kook tries to talk strategy with Min-seo, she likens him to a nagging father-in-law. Lol, at least she isn’t afraid to tell it like it is.

After Jae-suk and Seo Woo are given a sudden shower, the latter gets caught in her lie that they got rid of everything. Haha and In-young are up next, and she slips into character with her fiery gaze.

She breaks character not long afterwards, then she and Haha scramble to get rid of their stack. It already looks like a lost cause from the start, so Haha starts chomping down on the paper.

Gary and Yuri are up next, and she is committed to this task, as she slides down from the hood of the car. Their scene takes place at a nightclub, where Yuri repeatedly rejects his advances. When he grabs the arm flying towards him, she uses the other hand to slap him.

It looks like they’ve got a shot at winning as the final seconds tick down in the car. They succeed with three seconds left on the clock.

Kwang-soo plays the jilted boyfriend, refusing to give into Yeo-jin’s aegyo tactics. But even he can’t hide his smile when Yeo-jin leans in with a kissy face. It’s pretty adorable, until Yeo-jin snaps him out of it, and that earns them an extra ten seconds.

They come close, but they run out of time anyway, and gets some glamourous model shots in. Jong-kook turns his hat for his Moon That Embraces the Sun parody (or should we call it the Moon That Embraces the Muscles, hee), but Min-seo doesn’t let him get a word in, shushing him with a bit of mud.

They get extra time too, and Jong-kook works so fast that his manual paper shredder looks like an automatic. Hell, it’s faster than any automatic out there, and he and Min-seo snage second place.

Suk-jin and Ji-hyo’s awkward acting doesn’t earn them any extra time, and they fail. Haha relays to the others how In-young just told him to slap her, to which he cries, “How could I possibly hit you?!”

Basically In-young ends up slapping him around, and this time they were smart—they folded their stack before the whistle blew. So In-young snags third place, then reads her hint (“Talks a lot”). At first I was thinking that it could either be Jong-kook or Jae-suk, but the show reminds us that they ALL talk a lot.

Min-seo reads her hint (“flattering in glasses”), and so does Yuri, though we don’t get to see what she reads nor the switch she makes.

Everyone gathers together again later that evening for the final mission, where the ladies are promptly led away to various locations. Then the guys set off to meet their new partners, and everyone apart from Haha and Kwang-soo have a new teammate.

In this “Make My Man A Chaebol” mission, our teams must (1) find out the mysterious chaebol’s identity; (2) find his nametag; (3) attach it to their male teammate; and (4) stand on the platform together. So they’ll need to find (or steal away) the right nametag, regardless of who the chaebol is… though I suppose being considered one brings with it its own bragging rights.

At the start, In-young insists that Haha’s out of the running since he doesn’t meet the height requirement. He’s persistent, though, and she tosses back, “What’s the point if you’re the only one being stubborn about it?”

Haha isn’t the only one putting the cart before the horse, however, because Kwang-soo’s convinced that he could be the chaebol, too. Our SpartAce duo is deducing, too — they have to pay attention to who Min-seo has by her side now since she has three hints.

Speaking of whom, Min-seo admits that she couldn’t really decide between Jae-suk and Suk-jin with her batch of clues. When Yuri tells Suk-jin that it could be him, he asks if she’s good at lying. She says she’s gotten better since playing villainous roles, but still adorably stumbles over her words, confessing, “I.. I did tell one lie [right now].”

She relays one hint Haha told her (“Doesn’t talk”), though Suk-jin is quick to tell her that the truth is likely the opposite of whatever she was told (“Talks a lot”). Meanwhile, Jong-kook discovers Kwang-soo’s nametag, which gets placed on his back like a disposable card. Nothing to lose, huh?

It also turns out that there are multiple nametags of our potential chaebols hidden on the premises. Kwang-soo gapes to see SpartAce working together, but gives up a hint since the latter doesn’t have any. But as expected, what he tells them is a bald-faced lie and Yeo-jin’s side-eye is a dead giveaway.

She does, however, reveals a logical hint: It isn’t Jong-kook, because Min-seo has the most hints and wouldn’t trade have traded him away if Jong-kook was the chaebol. Elsewhere, Jae-suk makes a run for it as soon as Suk-jin and Yuri appear, and the latter bite the bait.

And just like last time, the others hear the noise and start running. They manage to wrestle the nametag in Jae-suk’s hands, only to realize that it’s one of Kwang-soo’s.

Jae-suk swipes another tag (but not a member’s nametag) and takes off again, and lures Yuri and Suk-jin in again. To learn why Yuri is so relentless about chasing Jae-suk, we rewind back to when she read her final hint (“Initial J”).

Jae-suk finds another one of his own nametags, which Seo Woo tries to wrestle away, to no avail. He gets onto the platform with his nametag and Min-seo, but he isn’t the chaebol everyone’s looking for. It’s one of Yeo-jin’s hints that clue us in: “He’s part of the Betrayal Trio.”

Which means only Suk-jin fits all the criteria. Nearly everyone lands on the same conclusion—well, everyone except Kwang-soo and Yeo-jin, that is. Convinced that Kwang-soo’s the chaebol, Yeo-jin openly declares her marriage intentions towards him. “You’re going to accept me, right?”

Hee, Yuri accidentally sprays her face with hairspray (thinking it was a mist spray). At the same time, the hunt for Suk-jin’s nametag is still ongoing. Kwang-soo joins the search, having heard the news belatedly, and finds Suk-jin’s nametag under a tablecloth.

It isn’t long before a few couples start gathering around him, though, and Haha shushes them so that they don’t draw more unnecessary attention. As expected, Kwang-soo bolts the first chance he gets.

Not if Haha or Suk-jin have something to say about it since they catch up to him in no time. It’s full-out war, andYuri makes off with the nametag, only to lose it again in the stairwell. It’s kinda funny how the actresses try to aggressively grab the nametag while smiling, “Let’s not [fight] with each other.”

Jong-kook, on the other hand, is waiting a few steps down to deal with whoever the victor is in this chaotic struggle. So Jae-suk decides that it’s faster to look for another one of Suk-jin’s nametags.

So while everyone else is debating with one another, Jae-suk and Min-seo roam the premises uninterrupted. And sure enough, Jae-suk finds what he needs.

Now it’s a matter of getting downstairs before everyone else does… and they run and stand on the platform before anyone else gets there. Suk-jin arrives dead last, and his shocked expression is sad-hilarious.

Min-seo wins a gold ring while her teammate Jae-suk is presented with a fancy nameplate that befits his chaebol status. And to wrap up this episode, the cast celebrate August birthdays (Jae-suk, Ji-hyo, and Haha). What a sweet finish!

I was under impressed with the previews last time - but I watched it because I was having RM withdrawal symptoms

Once I saw the mud pit I knew it would be funny, it was hilarious!

These actresses were so entertaining, funny and COMPETITIVE. I was super impressed.

Kwang-soo as the human ladder! OMG

Too bad Suk-jin couldn't have won since he was the real heir with the correct nametag.

Next week's show will be a surprise since there were no previews...

Quick question, is Yuri a sunbae to seo woo ? Because during the beginning she and another gal stood up to greet her but the others didn't. I thought seowoo would have debuted before her... I guess I haven't seen her work yet.

Yep she's definitely a sunbae, Yuri debuted in 1999 and Seo woo debuted in 2007 haha. Age wise Yuri is 5 years older. She's mainly in weekend dramas which is probably why you haven't seen her(:

Yuri is a sunbae and unnie to Seo Woo. Yuri is the oldest and has been acting the longest out of the 7, including Ji Hyo. Whereas Seo Woo is the youngest and has the least acting experience. So I guess as the maknae, she just jumped out of her seat when seeing her sunbae/unnie. Those two had some cute moments throughout the show.

Thanks for replying.

Didn't know she been the longest if not eldest. Can't believe that I missed out that much weekend drama since I became interested in kdrama sinces 2006. Will check her work out then.

Yes I saw some moments between them as well. These ladies are awesome added to JiHyo and added more fun to the guys.

Another great episode.

This is one of the most hilarious episodes in quite a while. I had watched it thrice! Why can't they get guests like this all the time? The "evil" ladies give it their all and aren't afraid of embarassing themselves and no wallflower among the 5 guests. Their competitiveness with each other is amazing to watch. There is pride at stake there! This makes me remember them even thou I have not seen any of their shows before.

I collasped when Kwang Soo was used as a stepladder and Mr Kook's saeguk show. The ladies changing shoes and stepping on tip toes. The fake slapping done by JaeSuk's partner. The fashion show on the car. The numerous random and weird things Gary's partner did. The surprise opening. Everything is hilarious from the opening till the end. If Running Man can be like this all the time, ratings will never drop!

I was laughing throughout the episode but plain out lost it at the Moon That Embraces the Muscles when KJK appeared with his "hat".

We need more of these guests :3 less idols with their idol image baggage.

I was reading the recaps for Secret Door and "saw" Jong Kook in many of the palace scenes. Joseon era dramas are never going to be the same again. LOL!

Don't think it's so much the idol "image" thing - as most idols tend to be young and inexperienced and hence quiet and not wanting to "act out" against their elders.

There are exceptions like older idols (Narsha) or idols w/ outgoing personalities - Sunhwa, Daesung, etc.

I guess I'm naïve but I was surprised when the used the definition "popular" to rule out Kwang Soo but rule in Suk Jin. I guess I have no clue about their actual popularity status.

And I enjoyed this episode but I didn't love it the way I thought I would from the previews. *shrugs*

You're not naive. It's because Kwang Soo's "persona" if you will is actually pretty contrasting to what he comes off across irl. Like most variety faces, they can't break this perception of them on TV because that's what they're known as. Kwang Soo's character is stupid, unpopular and you get the drift. RM who will go to a far extents to protect his identity. They're really not going to reveal the fact he's a pretty successful and popular actor who work with big names and no way are they gonna mention the fact netizens pretty much love his acting. Or else this whole face of being terribly bad a lying, clumsy, awkward etc. will be shattered and a bad thing for a) his (variety) career and b) RM

You have ur all wrong, Kwang Soo is not known in korea for his acting neither is he considered a successful actor.... His little popularity comes from RM not acting..... Although he may have acted in movies and dramas with big actors but his roles are the little ones that don't stand out afterwards..... Hence he was ruled out about popularity cos that's the reality in korea......

Uh.... do you live in Korea? If not, then this is just proving I'm right.
You are lead to believe, just by watching RM alone on what he appears to the public.
I'm Korean-American and pretty much visit every year and let me tell you - Kwang Soo isn't anything like his variety identity. Okay - he may not be exactly "successful" because he hasn't really won anything in acting but his line with working with big actors kind of proves what level in acting he's in.
You speak like you know what you're talking about, so I'm assuming you've read the articles (and comments) on him in Korea right?

I think I was perhaps more surprised about Suk Jin being the popular one. In the episodes where they do autographs or fans pick their favorite person I always feel like he's last and nobody goes for him. But that's a specific word they used to describe him.

if I'm not mistake lee kwang soo were listed top 40 with Jae Suk and Jong ki as most influential in terms of popularity and money in Korea. He and Jaesuk were the only runningman members that was in the list. I don't remember where I read it, but you can google it out ^^

Actually, the Giraffe's persona is popularity (well, maybe more outside of SK), hence being referred to as the "Prince of Asia."

The reference to Suk-jin as being popular was puzzling since he probably is the least popular RM member (which is why he's always picked last and why Ji-hyo got it out of the way and picked him for her partner).

Suk Jin is quite popular in Korea...

He was in Star Golden Bell
He was a broadcaster (which probably ajummas recognize him from)
He was Happy Sunday MC (for like 5 years)

Before I watch RM, I know Suk Jin because I keep seeing him in my SNSD's videos when they guested somewhere lol....

Lots of funny here . . . Seo Woo pointing out that ratings would climb if she changed her shirt on camera . . . Lee Yuri's athletic hijinks and imagination . . . Choi Yeo-jin flashing those awesome, awesome legs over and over . . . all the actresses jumping into the car while the men open the doors . . . the men snapping at the women for slowing them down, like teen-age boys . . . Yoo In-young's steely gazes, particularly as her make-up washes off.

I really love this episode! Same with the other comment, I probably watched this around 4 or 5 times.

I'm not a fan of weekend dramas, so I really don't know some of the guest. But oh gosh, LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT with Lee Yuri. First time seeing her, she's so cute and competitive.

And that Yeo-jin car modeling. Nice!

Yuri is one of the best actresses in Korea. She's just not that popular outside Korea because she is usually in the weekend or dailies drama with 50-140 episodes. And most of the time, she's quite tough in her dramas.

This was a great episode. They should invite female guests like this more often. All the girls were competitive and put some effort into the games instead of acting all fragile and cutesy.
I haven't seen her in anything before, but Lee Yuri was by far the best, I was rooting for her and Suk Jin. I hope she comes to RM again.

Loved how In Young and Choi Yejin were so easy going with the mud challenge when the others were so fussed about the shoes/hair and all... Even Minseo was like that. I haven't watched RM for a while so this was a good episode to get back into RM. The actresses really shone in this episode for me. It's getting harder for RM to impress us after being on air so many years but this episode wasn't half as bad. Let's hope this is an upward trend.

im glad i watched this episode. i was getting tired of running man's guest galore every week because most of the time half of them are so boring. but this particular group of guests was awesome. everyone was so cooperative and competitive. there are almost no dull moments even if the games are a little lackluster, they totally made up for it. really hope for more guests like them.

I know right? Usually when RM has a large casts of guests, half of them are boring and very uncooperative. It is very rare to have all guests to be this competitive yet still entertaining. I hope more guests will be like these gals. They sure did rock that episode and I love it. Watched it 3 times already within this week.

For the segment on couples acting out a scene (in front of the car), it was the cast reactions and commentary at the side that made it hilarious and less awkward for the acting couple.

What Jae Suk previously said about pretty girls having a temper is true! While the actresses were smiling and polite, they didnt bother to hide their steely determination to win. And that alone made this episode super fun to watch! :D

The games weren't entertaining but the casts and guests made it entertaining. I haven't laugh this hard til now. All of the guests were awesome: competitive, aggressive, and weren't shy from displaying it. Kudos to these guests and I really wish they would come back again and do a "Men vs Women" because these gal (along w/ Ace Ji Hyo) will make them run for their money. Of all of the RM episodes for this year alone, this is my favorite.

I found myself really enjoying this episode, despite my reservations on the chaebol/drama spoof theme! I love how the boys were like "...wow, Ji-Hyo really is a cool gal". The acting scenes were also hilarious. Even though the guests were super girly, I loved that they weren't afraid to play it up and let themselves be poked fun at on the show.

I think my favourite exchange in this entire episode, though, was when Kwang-soo bumps into SpartAce during the final game. He's all: "You guys are partners? Doesn't that count as cheating?!" It's actually too bad the final game wasn't as dramatic as the preceding ones, because I always loved seeing SpartAce working together to kick ass (a pairing we haven't gotten in a while), as well as more sneakiness and shenanigans from the girls.

yeah I was a bit..ow here we go again female guest so Ji-Hyo gets the old guy with the bad legs yet again as a partner..cute that he was the heir though, but then she got paired with the commander and I though ok all they have to do is wait at the door and simply rip off anyone name tag that tries to enter for an ease win..of course that wouldn't have been funny..will it could have but..you know what I mean.

Wish the review included a mention (or at least a shot) of Yeo-jin and Kwang-soo having a pseudo-pictorial for a car ad. That made me laugh, too.

This episode was awesome! I love how the guests were so competitive. If I had wish something was different, I wish JiHyo also as got as much camera time and show her competitiveness as much as the other actresses. But I guess it can't be helped because she is part of the running man member.

Was I the only one who found Kwangsoo really attractive (a little part of me swooned) when he started acting at the second game? The whole way he carried himself changed and it was so different from his variety character (which honestly I personally find annoying a lot of times). I am going go and re watch that part.

This episode was the best from Running Man in a longggg time! I loved all the guests.

It was nice to see Lee Yuri on a variety show as well. Her character in Jang Bo Ri is a complete psychopath so it's good to see what her real personality is like.

I'm thinking its from her makjang Flames of Ambition or that even longer makjang, Glass Mask.

The opening of Glass Mask, ironically, has Seo Woo's character in danger of falling off a cliff because she insists on wearing high heels walking on loose dirt!

Both series are crack for soap opera fans, but, if you don't like makjang, Flames of Ambition has the most hilarious opening ten minutes in all of Kdrama. I re-watch it to cheer myself up with a good laugh.

This episode rocks! Have been watching the funny moment over and over again the past 4 days. Thought Yoo Ri and Min Seo will be a bit timid from the first impression, but glad I was wrong, they are not timid at all. Especially Yoo Ri, you can see mud on her face during the game and she doesn't even bothered and keep playing like devil, and even use another girl shirt as a climbing rope! Min Seo is a smiling killer especially with her foot in the 1st game. Seo Woo made Jae Suk the ultimate pervert in 2nd game. Loved In Young interaction with Haha, and Yeo Jin, made me watch her 2nd game over and over again. Hope they will come again to RM!

LOL! i just love this episode. it was worth an extra week of waiting (for the recap). i love guessing games (and the constantly evolving dynamics that sends everyone scrambling for the next clue) and to see the RM cast and their guests wrangling over a name tag. it's also refreshing to see RM guys looking nonplussed and unsure about what just hit them :D

What was the episode flashback during the hints "wanting to be close with idol" where the idol said " I like Kwang Soo Oppa"?

I'm guessing maybe it's Dasom (SISTAR) ? From the King of Idols special when they were in the car together ?!

Yeah, I think it is. I just checked. Dasom says "I want to be close to Kwang Soo" because he's the first celebrity that she met.
It's episode 162, around 16:00ish.

The games are a bit boring but boy are these actresses a hoot! Bold, competitive and committed. Kim Min-seo surprises me the most, I love her more now.

Lee Yoo Ri was the boss! Even though she didn't win she rocked the mud game. She was shoving off the other women and using anybody especially LKS as a ladder to climb up.

After a couple of less fun-filled eps (there's only so much amusement one gets from seeing people ride amusement park rides), this one really hit it out of the park.

This ep was fun-fulled despite the no. of guests which shows that it's not the no. of guests so much, but the personalities of the guests.

Here, we have actresses who have been in the biz for at least some years and being mostly in supporting/the "evil girl" roles - they have to be go-getters in a highly competitive field.

Kwang-soo as the human "step-ladder" was not surprising, but all so humorous.

The acting/paper cutting was more entertaining than I thought it was going to be.

Seeing YJS get screamed at by Seo Woo; Yuri when blocked by Gary, slaps him w/ her other hand and KJK smartly shaping his baseball cap so it looks like one of the old-time head dresses for court ministers/royalty (Mong-ji's guffaws when she saw it made it that much funnier).

Min-seo did the best job acting.

Also liked the tweak to the name-tag game - which made it enjoyable.

All the guests were fun, but I really liked Yuri (not only was she the cutest, but she was both entertaining and all out when it came to winning).

The PDs really need to make her a regularly occurring guest.

I ended up liking Seo Woo better than I thought I would, but she really shouldn't make such a big deal out of trying to hide her height deficiency since everyone knows she's short and she's only bringing more attention to it (not sure why Yuri also had a complex since she's a little taller).

I loved Yu-Ri, wow she's such a hoot. She's cute, strong and fast runner. She acted really well in the club scene too. So funny! Yet she still had funny variety moments like falling into the pond, mistaking hairspray as facial mist etc.

Anyone know what is the name of the drama which Lee Yuri acted in, the one which is shown when she started to bark at Gary for eating. And also the name of the drama which Seo Woo acted in, the one where she wore a hat and a mask on.

Lee Yuri's "bap bap bap" line - the immortal "Jang Bo-ri"...

Seo Woo wearing a hat & mask - either "Flames of Ambition" or "Glass Mask"

Gotta admit. I once hated Minseo so much because of her character in Babyfaced Beauty. But hear, I think I'd fallen for her cuteness and fighting spirit!

So refreshing!
This episode is one of the underrated but turns out to be really good.
I mean when they first introduced the guests I kind of expected a boring episode cause it was too scripted. Or so I thought. You know how sometimes the members were obviously acting.
But even if the opening had been acting, the rest of the show is still fun to watch. Sageuk Kkuk, slapping Jeasuk scenes are very funny.
I also like the switching shoes part cause it's so real. How sad it is that they're good actresses but must be troubled by their heights as well? Anyway, the bonus is when other members realize how much of a dedicated member Jihyo is as an actress, she doesn't care about her image almost at all that the male members aren't used to high maintenance women.
I agree that RM needs to reduce Idol guests but search for people who'll play wholeheartedly.

Finally I could see Spartace together in Couplerace. Although for some reason the they just look a little bit. Do they really have a relationship that is hidden? Why do they never paired into Couplerace during this time? Is it because they are equally strong, so it is not fair to the others? hehehe
