KYK didn't just say he likes skinny girls. What he said was more than it. Guy is really shallow and rude. Stop defending him and saying he was ''brave'' for talking about his taste. EWWW.

Oooh, I just watched him on an old Happy Together episode! He was cute, and that was even with Joowon next to him the whole episode.. so yeah I'm a new fan, hahaa..

HA IL KWOOOOOONNNNN!!! God, I love this webtoon author; a lot of his works have been fan-translated into English and are free to read. My personal favorites are My Heart is Beating, Afterschool War Activities, and Annarasumanara. The man knows how to play with color.

Now all I need is for Cheese in the Trap to get a drama. It's a psychological, realistic, and well written romance that's right up dramabeans' alley.

Other wise, I feel that I should speak up. While I think I'm not as extreme as he is, but I've done the same. It's natural for people ti judge others on their appearance. We form an opinion of their personality like that. I personally avoid people who are obese or vain looking. I tend to converse more with plain looking people. That doesn't mean I haven't had my initial opinion of people proven wrong. I've met people who I tried to avoid based on appearance but got to know better later on by chance and came to like them.

For those who think I'm protecting him, I'm not. I'm protecting myself since I think like him. However I would not voice my opinion like him, he could have word it better. Yes, it is rude for him to say that. Yes, it is shallow, but I can't help but to judge people by their appearance.

PS. I think what he said was a joke. He called Sung Joon ugly. ROFL. I was searching up Sung Joon and found that Sung Joon and Yong-Kwang did a friendship photo shoot for vogue around the same time this vogue interview came out. I'm pretty sure they're friends.

I highly recommend people read the webtoon first. I'm pretty sure they have it in English...
Foreigners might have a hard time swallowing the sauna culture depicted in the webtoon but the author Ha Il Kwon is actually known for writing deep and somewhat philosophical comics.

Whoa, I didn't expect this negative energy on here...but I guess if you say shit like that, he can't possibly expect to garner any respect from potential viewers of his work. I've only heard bits and pieces but to read his interview (for a teen girl's mag, no less!) it's a bit to call it brutal honesty.

Overinflated ego with an eye for only so-called "slim prettys" is epic dumbness, even more so to get that shit published not once but at least twice. I got to hand it to him, he told it like it is for him -- but he obviously did not think of the consequences at all, which is his loss.

Honestly, I don't find him attractive in my book...he's got that model look -- and I don't find most models attractive.

Can we stop with this whole Vogue Girl debacle? We all get it; he said it. As if we all don't think it sometime or another...And not just about girls. When we see potbellied guys in wifebeaters or short shorts or *god forbid* skinny jeans, we don't think exactly what KYK said in the interview. And for the record, Korean guys all want their girlfriends to be pretty. It's extremely superficial of them to say this aloud, but they do it all the time and quite bluntly.

AND, for those who are all like, well he should have known better as a public figure and since the magazine caters to young girls, blah blah blah...has anyone ever mentioned the fact that the interviewer, the copy editor, and the editor-in-chief should have edited out those parts?? I mean, their target market is those young girls, which I'm sure they know better than us commenters and KYK. If anything, I would smh at them more.
