well i used to think lee jongsuk look like an ordinary person. he is not that good looking but he is not ugly either. but after watching 'i hear your voice' he started to look good to me. i guess he is good looking to me now because i like him.

Anyway I agree with everything you said. Clearly she's far from the worst k actress out there. I've clearly seen worse. My sympathy goes to her who seems to get singled out everytime. Even in her just finished drama - IG - she acted far better than the other lead in my opinion.

Anyhow, even I myself am not that thrilled by this drama initially but I'm definitely giving it a try. Please be more spy thriller show!

I completely agree with you esp. on the Age of Feeling comment. She was better than im soo hyang at least. I also read your more positive, insightful comments on the AoF recaps (which i unfortunately dropped around ep 16).

I'm not thriller either but i'm certainly going to check out the pilot as i do with most shows.

Thank you for pointing this out, ilikemangoes. Even I'm a tad bit annoyed now by the backlash she's facing. Poor girl is doing her work, earning her own income, and she isn't even that horrible. Yes, she's serviceable and a bit forgettable.....but I think it's mostly because her costars had much more going for them in terms of roles. I firmly believe that she can do really well if she learned the craft more and got some really good roles. In any case, she really doesn't deserve so much negativity.

I'm not sure about the time management thing since I wasn't aware of it but I did see quite a lot of comments on her acting, making her sound like Han Ga In or another actress that can't act but only looks pretty. I felt that it was uncalled for since I didn't find her as bad as those actresses. I can understand people's disappointment that she isn't better as they want her to be...but to refuse watching a drama when she's simply decent is a bit much. Granted, I am also going to watch this mostly for Lee Jong Seok

Thanks for explaining, pogo. Your stance I can definitely understand. It does sound a bit unprofessional, considering how crazy drama production can be with the live shoots and whatnot.

It was never a case of JSY "double-booking" nor she is lacking in 'time management skills'. Firstly, the latest shooting blunder she had with KBS was a result of an extended stay for her shoot with SBS over at Hungary. That which is a result of a fortuitous event and is by no means under her control.

Secondly, as I've repeatedly stated before, double projects/shoots is fairly common both inside and outside of Korea, but people are taking notice on JSY's because they see a "pattern". Granted, she did kept accepting those roles, but at the same time those roles were for the most part "replacement" calls. That, and it's not as if she made it a point to accept commitments at the middle of a series, rather, towards the end of her current one.

Is she or her management being opportunistic? Probably - but having capitalistic values, I totally see the drive. Most especially since she is a rookie actress who does not have the luxury to "choose", and rather the other way around - she cannot shop for roles - rather they are offered to her.

That aside, I really do think that the flak she receives is less of that casting snafu, but something more deep-seated... I just cannot exactly pinpoint it out right now.

The reason why i'm still appalled by the amount of hate is not really because of the double booking, but because i've noticed that whenever someone has something bad to say about Jin Se Yeon, they target her acting skills or lack there of, not the double booking. The double booking doesn't seem to be something people really care about esp. if it's an actress they could care less about. So I assume that the distaste stems from people's impression about her as an actress. Majority of the audience don't care about the double booking issue, they just care that the dramas they watch have good actors and good pairings and good costars for their oppas. Even before the double booking she still had her fair share of "haters", so I still think that it's mainly her as an actress that people really dislike. In that sense, i still think it's a bit uncalled for, because now i feel like defending someone i'm not even a fan of. lol

Actually the is drama is for male lead and his fans to bash the lead actresses & other leads actually which make the acting is the best is the story itself in this drama & the script .
The script is the game of this drama to be a success or to be a loss .
I find the women characters in Korean dramas is just a shadow or ball , the characters is just a + or - factor but who win at the end is the Male actor lead .
Seriously I am tired bcz some little find this actress not suit their oppa :( bcz her look in the 1st not bcz anything else .

1. I would consider it double-booking if she intentionally decided to film two shoots consecutively and overlapping on the same day. Which she didn't. She was originally decided to come back on time for her IG priorities - that which all three, her, KBS, and SBS all agreed upon. So yes, she did "double-booked", by no ill intentions of her own.

2. Again, the filming of Dr. Stranger wasn't supposed to start until IG ends. However, filming for the foreign shoots has to be done ahead of time. Hence the "double-booking" incident. There shouldn't be any problem at all, if everything went on schedule.

3. I'm not claiming that she was forced to do it, but that she has every right to choose to do it. There should have been no problem, again, had the schedule panned out smoothly. In fact, you wouldn't even be concerned about her accepting two projects had there been no filming incident such as this.

4. I didn't. And it wasn't me who furnished such reports. Believe it or not, is your prerogative.

5&6. The point is simple: had the K-ent industry not been so keen on doing live-shoots, then every shooting schedule could be done in a much smoother pace, and yes, even giving room for actors and actresses to tackle on more projects than being tied down to just one - which again, is common practice all over the world. What you're implying is that JSY wasn't considerate enough to return on her IG shoot on time, is completely grasping straws. No actor would have wanted for that to happen and it's out of her control. And no, don't keep bringing about the same accusation that she shouldn't have accepted the offer in the first place. Because by God, why couldn't she?

So there you have it! While other actresses are less "greedy" and have been turning down roles, JSY is out there to save the "scraps" and accepts it. Now you WONDER why she keeps getting casted?

Right,because the performance from the LEAD actress doesn't affect the overall drama at all,Nope not at all.How dare anyone criticize an actress who has given consistently mediocre performances and has shown no improvement or growth whatsoever in her recent projects,but yet keeps getting lead roles.Lets just keep re-casting incompetent actresses while robbing other talented actresses the chance to show their abilities.Thank you for your enlightenment.

I'm not sure about LMH being better looking than LJS. I feel that he looked quite common. There are plenty like him on the streets. Whenever I think of him the words plain and big nose pops out. Um, sorry fans but that's really how I feel.

But I agree that LJS's biggest attraction lies in his acting or x factor or whatever. Because that guy lits up the screen. He may not look as good always in stills but when he is in a drama, oh boy you can feel it! But no, he don't look strange. In fact I know some people who has almost similar looks as him, just not as good looking.

PS? Who knows and who cares? I mean everyone's doing it now from entertainers to common people. It is probably more common for Korean artistes to do it than not.

However, taking a closer look at LJS's older pictures (before secret gardens), the only difference really is the cheeks which is really thin now. But I believe that's due to tremendous loss of weight. The older pictures (when he looked a lot more 'normal') has a fuller cheek. But you'll also notice that the legs and generally the whole body is more filled up than now.

So yeah, I think he lost a lot of weight and gained that killer cheeks.
