Seo In-gook’s Wild Dog gets kenneled
by awcoconuts
Seo In-gook (Master’s Sun, Answer Me 1997), who was to lead upcoming action-noir flick Wild Dog, has reportedly stepped down from the role. The movie, about Seo In-gook’s unexpected descent into the mob world and his struggles to break free from gang life, would have been the actor’s second leading picture, reuniting him with the production team from his first starring film, No Breathing.
Production was due to start soon, but the project failed to garner sufficient investor interest. Sources say all of the attached actors, including anticipated mob bosses Park Yong-woo (My Love Madame Butterfly) and Lee Soon-jae (Grandpas Over Flowers), have quietly relinquished their involvement and are looking for other projects. Alternate sources, however, deny the actors have dropped out, and insist the movie has merely hit some speed bumps.
The news doesn’t sound good — the film will probably get shelved permanently, which is sad news for those who have been struggling to get Wild Dog made. On a happier note, Seo In-gook fans won’t have to wait long; he is said to be reviewing several offers following the news of his potential availability.

Awww it would've been nice to see Seo In Gook as a dark broody mafia boy. Have him flash some of his karate moves that were seen in Masters Sun.
Sigh at least he's looking at some other offers, can't wait to see him back onscreen!

I like Seo In-gook as an actor. His roles feel like his own personality , as if he's not really acting. Which, I guess, is the definition of good acting (and choosing good dramas and movies). I will look forward to what's next for SIG.

I turned in 'No Breathing' with no expectation and was pleasantly surprised. no need to say Seo In Gook is a natural, idk if it's because he's like that in RL but his role fit him like a T ^^ though again his role in Reply1997 was very different so I guess we have to give credits to his acting. Hopefully he'll be lead in another drama soon/

True ^^ That's why when I heard people said that SIG roles are same in every projects, my eyebrows are rising because I don't think all of his roles are same. He's funny and dorky in Love Rain and No Breathing; he's cool, kind, and gentleman in Master's Sun; he's adorable in Answer Me 1997 and Another Parting. I don't think they are same, and that's why I love him.

I'm both happy and sad at this news. I'm happy because if he did the movie it would probably be awhile (if ever) before I got a chance to see it. If he does a drama, I'll be able to watch it when it comes out, provided it's on Dramafever or Viki. Whatever he chooses to do, I'll be happy!

As his fan, of course I'm sad. But actually I already have the bad feeling about this movie, Idk why. So I hope this means we will get Ingukkie on a drama soon, as the lead actor again. He is a good actor (and a good singer too, ofc) who can play every kind of role. I mean his roles on No Breathing and Master's Sun are so different. Not to mention his stellar performance on Answer Me 1997 and, recently, Another Parting. I want him as the lead on a drama soon, his new Korean album, and perhaps another project if he available this year.

D'aw… I really loved his role in No Breathing, especially the part in the cafeteria when he went crazy attacking the bad-mouthed swimmer. I was waiting to see more of that element in this noir.
His roles usually are intense characters, which I love that about SIG's acting chops.
I hope he doesn't dilly-dally any longer. Give us something fresh already.
