It’s Kim Kang-woo versus the Golden Cross in KBS revenge thriller

Our first teaser for KBS’s Golden Cross gets right to the point of the suspenseful melodrama, with Kim Kang-woo playing the hero who loses his beloved sister and vows revenge on those responsible.
We’re also finally told the meaning behind the title, as “golden cross” is a financial term that refers to a point at which trading conditions on a stock have turned favorable (…is my rudimentary understanding of the stock market). It’s a concept that pulls double duty in this show, as it’s also the name of an exclusive society of the financial world’s top 0.001% movers and shakers. And you thought the Occupy movement’s hated one-percenters were bad—try making them a thousand times more elite, greedy, and corrupt.
It’s the Golden Cross group that is responsible for the conspiracy that entangles the lives of Kim Kang-woo’s ordinary family, ultimately claiming their lives. He, the impassioned prosecutor, won’t rest till he takes them down. Well, I know who I’ll be rooting for.
Also starring in the drama is Lee Shi-young as another prosecutor; she’s our heroine, but her father just so happens to be one of our shady villains, which adds a dash of conflict to her character. Han Eun-jung is the mysterious owner of a club, and Eom Ki-joon plays a businessman. Written by the scriptwriter of Gaksital, Golden Cross will take to airwaves once Age of Feeling bows out; it premieres on April 9.

A lot of man-pain this spring. I guess angst is getting more and more appreciated. We need some woman-pain too though. I hope Lee Si Yeong has big enough focus here. This being her first leading role in a melodrama, it's an important step.
And Kim Kang Woo is great with being raw in his emotions, so at least the man-pain will be good. I trust that the good cast is an indication of the creators knowing what they're doing. For now...
It's KBS, so I won't dance until the end credits of the last episode roll.

haha what's with all the revenge-thriller-suspense dramas these days..
Always want to enjoy them, but at the end of a hectic day, I just want to watch something light and funny
bring back the rom-com please :(
I like kim kang woo though, so prolly i'll watch if there's an enough dose of romance here :)

I've got 5 reasons in watching this show:
Kim KangWoo, Eom KiJoon, Lee SiYoung, Han EunJung and Yoo HyunMi...
I really don't care that the premise is a little cliche of your elite baddies and the poor heroes wrapped up in a different setting yet sam dynamics. I care about the people in this project.
We've got kim kang woo who is always so awesome & sexy at being broody serious man, lee siyoung who i just love w/o any particular reason, eom ki joon who gives out such a presence even in cameos, han eunjung who i started to respect after watching Grudge: revolt of the foc tail, and last but not the least yoo hyunmi who is now one of those writers i follow after gaksital....
one of them signing in this project was good enough but having all of them, i think this will turn out EPIC...

Dang it, revenge thrillers aren't really my thing, but Kim Kang-woo's in it. And then as I scroll down, I learn Lee Shi-young's in it. And then so is Eom Ki-joon! I might have to put this on my to-watch list.
