First teaser for Grandpas Over Flowers in Spain

Woohoo, the halbaes are back! We’ve got a premiere date and a teaser for the third season of tvN’s travel variety show Grandpas Over Flowers, which kicks off in just a week. This time luggage boy Lee Seo-jin leads the flower halbae foursome–mat-hyung Lee Soon-jae, sweet middle hyungs Shin Gu and Park Geun-hyung, and maknae Baek Il-sub–to Spain. (They went in early February, just in time for Seo-jinnie to come back for the premiere of his new weekend drama. Busy, busy.)
In the teaser below, Seo-jinnie asks the halbaes if anyone wants ice cream after dinner (Why do you even ask? You know what the answer will be.) and Il-sub halbae perks up and demands mango. Seo-jin doesn’t think that’s an option for an ice cream flavor where they are, but then Gu halbae chimes in that he wants mango too, and he’s seen mango ice cream shops everywhere they’ve been so far.
It takes Seo-jinnie a second to register what he means, and then he realizes Gu halbae is talking about the clothing brand Mango. Ha. He even reaches for Gu halbae’s jacket, and shows him that he’s been wearing clothes from that store this whole time. At the end, Na PD has replaced Gu halbae’s jacket with a cartoon mango and the caption: “And that’s how Gu halbae wore mango for ten days straight.” Teehee.
I didn’t realize how much I missed the show until I got a taste. It really has been a long time since the crew’s second trip to Taiwan, which ended early last fall. Of course we had a fun detour with Seung-gi and Noonas Over Flowers, but I’m looking forward to a grandpa classic, in all its grumpy glory.
Grandpas Over Flowers returns Friday March 7.

Now I want to see the halbaes make a cameo in LSJ's Wonderful Days drama. Either as grumpy grandpa or his mom old-flame or anything.

I'm sad I didn't get to see them despite them coming to my city -Barcelona, I'm quite certain that last pic was taken here- ;_; And even though toros aren't /that/ popular here, I can see why they used them for the poster... Well, I hope they got to see more than that~
Also, +1 to those puppy eyes by nomad ;)

This made me so happy and excited! Thank god for Noona over Flowers because it felt like a short wait, I've missed the halbaes so much!
Seo jinnie looks a lot more relaxed in the teaser and that's a good thing, I mean he never really got to loosen up with the halbaes the way Seung Gi did with the noonas which is why I ended up loving NOF a bit more when I wasn't even that interested in the beginning because they were all active on their on travels and not simply following Seung Gi around. But yayyy halbaes! It always makes me warm getting to see them so old but still so young at heart and excited to travel together, kudos to Na pd for thinking of the concept but also giving the halbaes this opportunity they never thought they'd have. Thanks for recapping this girls and bringing it to our attention! :)

Yeah, I love it when Seo-jinnie oppa is smiling - he's got the cutest dimples ever - but he looks awfully relaxed ... ah well, I'm counting on Na PD to rectify that!

For those that haven't watched GOF S1 and S2, Hulu has them with subs for all episodes except for #11.
I'm not sure why they left that one out.

Even though Noonas had Seunggi, I think I liked Grandpas better because the grandpas were funnier than the noonas (though the noonas were awesome too!)

ohhh i love Spain and I am excited to see the 4 grandpas and seo jin's take on one of my favorite places :)
i have a question guys..... i haven't been really into Kdramas lately but more on K variety shows so would it be possible for the cast of GOF or even NOF to guest in RM? or it has do with the different networks?
someone please enlighten me. :)

The shows are on different networks, not sure if they are in competing time slots though. But in most cases the regular cast of a variety show (such as 1n2d, Running Man, Real Man and so on) will not appear on other similar types of shows.
For example LSG only appeared on Running Man after he had quit 1n2d, and even then they made a joke about never thinking they would see him there.
Talk shows have slightly different "rules". But a lot of it has to do with loyalty to your own show, as well as it's not really polite to be promoting your own variety shown while guesting another. Especially if they are so called "competing shows". So I'd say chances for the cast appearing on RM as the cast of NOF/GOF I'd say is unlikely.

Sheesh. Just when you're marveling at how oh-so-very handsome Korean men are...
...you see the mango suit. And apparently it's not just any old Mango suit. It's a Mango suit from their upcoming Hedgehog Halbae line.

Looking forward to seeing what naughty tricks NA PD has up his sleeve for this season. It's looking waaaay too calm...

I've been looking forward to GoF...honestly tried to watch NoF and kinda lost interest mid-way (even with puppy Seung-gi!). Grumpy grandpas + stressed-out Seo-jinnie = much more interesting watch, in my opinion.
That was too funny that Gu halbae mistook Mango clothing as mango ice cream everywhere, haha...can't wait to see what lies ahead for G4 and Seo-jinnie! :)
