Cameras roll on time-slip thriller God’s Gift–14 Days
by girlfriday
And not a moment too soon, I might add. I was starting to worry that this show wouldn’t make it in time, especially when it was originally announced as a February drama. But with the Olympics shuffling around the broadcast schedule for SBS’s Warm Words, it gives God’s Gift–14 Days a much-needed extra week to get its act together before March. Here’s a peek at the show’s first shoots with star Lee Bo-young and Answer Me 1994’s Baro.
The time-slip thriller stars Lee Bo-young as a successful TV writer for a current affairs program, with a human rights lawyer husband (Kim Tae-woo) and a sweet little daughter played by Kim Yoo-bin. Her daughter’s sudden kidnapping and death sends her spiraling, but then the universe gives her a do-over and she gets to take a trip on dramaland’s increasingly crowded Wormhole Highway. She then has two weeks to figure out who the mystery kidnapper is, and of course prevent history from repeating itself.
She’ll have some help along the way, primarily in private investigator Jo Seung-woo and homicide detective Jung Kyeo-woon. We’re not told that Jo Seung-woo has a personal connection to the case, while Jung Kyeo-woon is her first love, and ends up going against his stuffy rule-following ways to help her.
Kim Yoo-bin plays a quirky outsider who gets left out by the other kids, and her only friend in school is played by Baro, a kid with the mental capacity of a six-year old. He’ll throw every ounce of energy into protecting his friend from the kidnapper (aw), and will play a key role in the case. Well I can certainly see that camera around his neck coming in handy. I hope the time-ticking thriller and time-slip elements are balanced well–there’s a bit of a worry that it’ll be genre soup, but for now all I can say based on these stills is: Lee Bo-young is purrrty.
God’s Gift–14 Days premieres March 3.

I am SO EXCITED for this show!!! The concept and casting are so great, and I loved Baro in AM 1994, and this role seems right up his alley the way he plays sweet and vulnerable so well.

Wow Lee Bo Young looks different, in a good way. Very gorgeous. I always thought wavy locks look best on her. She must be in newlywed bliss right now.
Im actually surprised with the lack of teasers and stills for this show considering its premiere is so close by. Are they behind schedule already? Can't bode well.
Seems like a shift for SBS to go from romance to thrillers for their weekday shows. I'm just excited i can finally follow a Mon/Tues drama -- this show already has a compelling story.

The show has a good premise. Who doesn't love a loving-mother trying to save her daughter? (I love these type of story-line such as "Seven Days" & "Heartbeat"). It shows the motherly love and that there are no boundaries when it comes to her children. Looking forward to this.

This production team must be crazy! They just start shooting in less than 3weeks?! No wonder we'll see them live-shoot in few eps.
Anyway I can't wait to see Lee Bo Young and handsome sexy man Jo Seung Woo

If you mean to the man with a white sweater, last row, middle picture then the answer is yes. This is Jung Kyeo-woon and his role in Salaryman was rotten Cho Hang Woo. (I still think he's a total douche)

What is Baro doing holding a Rangefinder camera...? Is it Leica? Zeiss ikon or a Zorki? That is a film camera...and it will be exciting to see how it will come handy later on.
Lee Bo Young is looking so beautiful!

Okay did some searching and it looks like Leica IIIF camera which is very expensive in today's time. Very EXpensive... I am surprised that someone will give a child (since he has a mental age of 6) that camera to play with since anyone could take it away from it and also it would be interesting to see how the camera will come in handy in the later stage...

Love how little Kim Yoo-bin looks just as professional as the adults studying the script so seriously.
