Cha Seung-won, Lee Seung-gi in potential drama reunion

Remember when Lee Seung-gi was thinking of doing Best Love, and then Cha Seung-won did it instead, and then Seung-gi swung by the show for an awesomely hilarious cameo? And then they went and did the refrigerator CF they’d joked about in said cameo? Well, things are looking good that we’ll get to see them acting together again, this time in SBS’s upcoming drama You’re All Surrounded, which is a drama about cops (it’s set in a police station, but it’s not exactly a “cop drama” in that it’s doesn’t sound like a procedural-action type of shindig).

Seung-gi is reportedly in the contract finalization stage, so his casting is farther along in the process than Cha Seung-won, who’s the potential new addition (the official stance is that he’s “considering favorably”). The drama from the Ojakkyo Brothers writer and History of a Salaryman PD centers around a foursome of rookie cops who ended up officers without having had a particularly strong passion for the job. Our hero is one of the four, and that’s the role Seung-gi’s up for.

Cha Seung-won’s character is a short-tempered and masculine detective who’s the team leader of the violent crimes squad. Already I can imagine him kicking Seung-gi’s ass, muahaha, and now that I have that picture in my head, I really need it to come true.

You’re All Surrounded is looking to follow Three Days, which begins in February, though the timeslot has not been confirmed yet. If it gets the slot, it’ll premiere sometime in April.

For all we know, Cha Seungwon might've probably paid a lot for this whole thing be over. His reputation really took a hit because of his son's issues.

I agree with the first part, not the second... sexual assault's a pretty big deal, and even though he was declared "not guilty," it isn't right to just explain it away with "boys will be boys," "kids will be kids," or some other ignorance.

Because actually, you know, quite a lot of them manage to avoid committing crimes...

gosh!! Best Love all over again (not that i'm complaining)..

i was laughing so hard at their bickering elevator scene, have the scene downloaded to my lappy (laptop), and replayed it every time i went down..

it's my dream come true.. and what did you say again? Ojakkyo Brothers' writer and History of a Salaryman's PD?! casting LSG and CSW? this is LEGEND-wait for it............

Oh I read this at another website too! So freakin excited! I loved CSW and Seung gi in best love (who didn't? Lol). They were totally awesome and all sorts of hilarious and I was totally hoping for them to do something together. It's been a while since CSW did a drama, after his son's controversy, I'd imagine he would be cautious with his next choice. I hope he does this with Seung gi since the latter's dramas are usually always highly rated and well received.

Also... I'm not sure what "our hero is one of the four" actually means? Does that mean there are 4 equal male leads? Or is it more in the lines of, the group of police men are 4 and seung gi is headlining as the solo lead... A little confused here, does anyone know specifics?

I need this too happen. I've been so torn because after watching the NoF episode on Friday I've been hoping Seung-gi could do the noona romance with Hee-ae instead of the cop drama but I will reluctantly abandon that wish if I could get Cha Seung-won and Lee Seung-gi in a drama together. ♥

If he takes this role then he is not going to be in Unprecedented :(. I was hoping he'd go head to head with Han Seok-kyu in the Joseon political arena. Kind of like a Joseon City Hall.

This does sound like a big project and different from anything Seunggi's done before. Will there be room for romance with all this bromance going on? I hope so, but it not being the focus would be fine with me.

I'm sure CSW is being careful about what project he takes, but it would be fun if he takes this. The role must be big even if he's not the official lead. Anyway, we'll see.

Thats the dream outcome for me whose fav korean actor is Cha Seung won. It has been too long over 2 years since Greatest Love being his last drama.

Unprecedented being delayed only few months can mean he can star in two dramas this year. Which is awesome news if he stays with that drama after the delay

Excellent! Another great casting prospect for this production. Now, if they can fill in the final three roles with heavy-hitters from the acting universe, I would be happy, happy, happy. (Kind of like the cast we wound up with for Gentlemen's Dignity).

Also, again, does anyone know what happened to CSW's movie "High Heels"? He was supposed to play a cop who wanted to become a woman. Was it ever made - and if it was, anyone see it and how was it?
