Yeo Jin-gu’s photo shoot for L’Officiel Hommes

Every time Yeo Jin-gu (Hwa-yi, Potato Star 2013QR3) shows up in a fashion spread, my reaction undergoes the exact same thought process and trajectory: Yes, he is STILL only 16 years old. Yes I checked, as I do every time, but somehow time moves so slowly. And yes, it’s a bit unreal how grown-up he looks (not to mention sounds, what with the leading-man baritone voice).
I can’t help it; it’s the same reaction no matter what the scenario. Only time will solve this, but gahhh I’m just so terrible at waiting. Until then… sorry to tease you with things you can’t have? (Sorrynotsorry.) Enjoy anyway.
Yeo Jin-gu recently won the New Actor award at the Blue Dragon Awards for his role in Hwa-yi. He’s currently starring in tvN’s sitcom Potato Star 2013QR3, which airs Monday through Thursday nights. This photo shoot and accompanying interview are in the December issue of L’Officiel Hommes.

Well, many reviews say it's good. I saw a clip of him kissing though. He's really good. He would other male actors a run for their money, well except Gong Yoo. He's at par with Gong Yoo with the way he kisses. He's so dreamy. Plus, the clip I saw had a scoring of "First Last Kiss", so it made it better!

I really like potato star. So far it's been entertaining with great characters and a really funny cameo by Lee Jong Suk doing an "I can hear your voice" parody in ep 15.

Technically this isn't part of the High Kick series, but it's definitely got the HK vibe (Star Potato, Star Potahto). It always takes me a few episodes to get into a HK series, but once I get attached to the characters, it's a rewarding ride full of quirky humor and lots of heart. (If you're gonna give it a shot, give it several episodes.) I'm really enjoying it.
YGJ is playing an older (early twenties) character in this-- that's not helping!! His deep voice makes me all discombobulated.

That's Yeon-Soo Ha! Wasn't her 1st kiss Jun-Hyung Yong of B2ST in Monstar? Wow. She kissed Jin-Goo something fierce. Jun-Hyung has to be sad. There's no hesitation on her part and, if I slow it down I think Jin-Goo opens his mouth. Omo! Seriously. Every Korean actress (and even some foreign) will fight to get to play opposite him.
I first noticed him in Missing You. Then when all the kids were getting their awards --I mean So-Hyun is awesome as well -- I found myself paying attention to him. I don't think there's a thing I've seen him in that I didn't like immensely. Not just like, but with him in it whatever show, it made it just that much better. He's not just a pretty face. His acting is superb.

I am LOVING potato star, not just the main characters but all the side characters too. While there is a lot of quirky and occasionally wacky characters, they are still very realistically drawn and folks in this drama at least talk to each other like folks in real life would!
Comsidering its 4 episodes per week and theyare into their 28 or 29th episode now, the quality of the script and production has yet to suffer. Check it out!

But, but, but... it has 120 episodes. I can't make a commitment to a 50 ep drama after a few bad experiences, so 120 is pushing it. We are talking a commitment of almost 8 months.

Just do what I do, skip around on the episodes. Since each epi is only 30 minutes, things move extremelyyyy slowwww (120 epi..). So it's not like you're going to miss out on things if, say…you skip from epi 4 all the way to 9 (since you HAVE to see the kiss)…etc.

you should watched it eli. I'm no korean, but enjoyed every part of the episode, even without subs. Its totally diffrent from YTBLSS. So many good stuff. Trust me, I've watched YTBLSS too, rave and rage then ff to the cute like you did :-)

Yeah..its not hard for me to see the teenager in him either despite the manliness and that wonderful voice..... Personally don't want him to take up very many leading man roles just yet.... Not Cuz he doesn't have what it takes because he does but I want him to sort of naturally transition into those roles as he grows... which I think was the issue with Yoo seung Ho for some of his recent roles, for me

LOL the day fangirls would start calling him oppa is the day I'd know I'm old! I've never been older than anyone I've liked. Ever. I find his really cute in a kid kinda way. He's definitely a lot more mature and manly looking compared to his age but I wasn't ever attracted to him. I think it's because I know he's still a minor.
