Cha Tae-hyun lines up new human comedy movie

Cha Tae-hyun has announced his newest movie, a human comedy titled Slow Video. Sadly there is zero information actually given about the plot itself, leaving us to wonder what exactly a slow video is (slow motion?) or why that would be the basis for a movie. On the other hand, it’s Cha Tae-hyun doing a human comedy, which is one of his fortes and probably enough of a draw on its own to get people interested.
The project reunites him with his Hello Ghost director Kim Young-tak, whom Cha recently brought along on a shoot of 1N2D as a special guest friend. (Although hoodwinked may be the more accurate word, or even coerced. Then again, when you’ve worked with a guy three times I guess you build up enough trust to where you can call him out without warning and kidnap him for a day to appear on a variety show. At least the PD can get some free publicity out of the deal?)
So far the news states that the female lead role is not yet cast and is considering Nam Sang-mi, but that appears to be rather preliminary. The movie is lining up the rest of its cast and will begin filming later this year.

I loved "Hello Ghost." One of the most satisfying endings EVER. (And any movie that can induce me to laugh and cry out loud is a good one.) I'll be looking forward to viewing this new one.

I think that "human comedy" is referring to a heartwarming, goodness inspiring type of comedy... not comedy like say "Hangover"

I like that you guys like Cha Taehyun enough to write an article about him being cast in a movie with no plot released. Heh. I've grown very fond of him as a person (at least what I know of him) and his acting, so Cha Taehyun news is always good news.
I kind of miss him. And the 1N2D crew. Should I tune in? Gonna think long and hard about that one after getting burned by New PD. Ha..

That episode hasn't been shown on kbsworld yet has it? I've watched EVERY SINGLE EPISODE of 1n2d there but I don't recall this episode at all....

Yeah, it hasnt premiere on kbs world, but it has been subbed by dramafever and most people watch it on gooddrama. Its the latest episode.

Yes. That was a fun episode ;) Loved how the seniors tried to use their age as leverage for some of the games and ended up like kids.

Yea, in that 1N2D ep, CTH introduced the PDnim by saying that they are going to work together for a new film. Guess he was talking about this!
BTW, the last 2 1N2D eps were sooooo funny! The previous eps were pretty dry, i'll admit, but the last 2 were awesome with the friends!! My favorite was Joowon's dong-gap friend, he was a major cutie! No wonder they're friends lol :)
This is when i wish dramabeans was still recapping 1N2D :*( oh wellll, off to better things~

Me too! I wish there was a place where we could discuss 1N2D again. I realise there aren't that many views on 1N2D videos on KBSWorld channel compared to other variety shows (On average, 1N2D has like 30k~50k while others are like 50k ~ 100k+) which makes me sad.
I really hope to see a bigger fanbase for Season 2 but it's not gonna happen anytime soon. Oh well, you guys are missing out on all the good stuff!!! LOL JOKES.

Maybe because Dramafever has been releasing the newest episodes of 1N2D. I still watch it, though, on the KBSWorld youtube channel, because their subs are better than the ones by Dramafever.

same here. I kindda loving the latest eps of 1N2D recently starting with the eps where they explored different trails and made a vid of it. though I love the vid of joowon and sung shi kyung, the vid of tae hyun and uhmforce was indeed heartwarming.

Actually I enjoy all eps by the new PD (tbh how could I not??? Our 7 men are so amazingly sweet and hilarious lol <3) but still, I agree, the earlier eps are indeed pretty dry.
The recent 3 trips are awesome! The games are more organised, editing has gotten a lot better, they are not all over the place anymore.

I'm not particularly fond of nam sang mi's acting. It seems forced or rushed somehow. So if slow video is going literal then I'm a little down with the proposed female lead. heh.
But she is perhaps better than some other actresses out there.
In any case, its cha tae hyun. Maybe he can make it all worth it.

Cha Tae Hyun's comedy films never fail to disappoint me. So, I'm looking forward to this one. Really miss him on the big screen, especially in comedy movie. "Hello Ghost" is one of my favorite along with the "Grand Heist". :D

Lots of folks here keep mentioning 1N2D. I think it has gotten better, not as hilarious without Disruptive Kim and PD Bird but still funny and entertaining. I do wish DramaBeans (aka: JB and GF) would start recapping them again.
