A potential movie romance for Lee Jong-seok and Park Bo-young

Will this kid never rest? Lee Jong-seok is the It Star of the moment (well, certainly one of them) with dramas and movies and CFs and bromances galore, and he sure is striking while the iron’s still hot. He’s currently got his hands full on the drama series I Hear Your Voice and has that swimming movie with Seo In-gook (No Breathing) coming up, and he’s reportedly adding another movie to his slate: the Park Bo-young vehicle titled Hot Blooded Youth.
His agency has hastened to add that ever-present explanation that he is just “positively considering,” so the casting is not finalized. But a Park Bo-young project? I say take it! (Aside from being a solid actress, she’s worked with a number of A-list stars and up-and-comers, and he would be in good company: Cha Tae-hyun, Lee Min-ho, Song Joong-ki, Joo-won.)
The movie is described as a comic and touching romance about high schoolers in the early 1980s, where Park Bo-young does an image turnaround by playing a tough popular girl. Lee Jong-seok’s would-be character is the Casanova of his high school who has all the girls swooning, who has a fresh, youthful romance with Park Bo-young.
Hot Blooded Youth plans to begin filming in mid-July, and the sticking point with Lee Jong-seok is his schedule (you don’t say). If he can manage to film three projects at once, he’ll be signing on, according to his management. Other actors currently considering roles in the project include Kim Young-kwang (Birth Secret, Bachelor’s Vegetable Store) and Lee Se-young (I Miss You).

Sounds a bit like manhwa I once read - Hot Blooded Woman. But that had some supernatural elements in it. The tough girl was hilarious :-)

Oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oohh booooyy!! I hope that Lee Jong Seok will definitely accept this movie with Park Bo Young, ofc! I assumed that this movie may be incredibly interesting for me to watch....aaand....suddenly cause to stuck the lightning into my heart to turn to insanely excited! :D

I'm happy for him with the love calls and the success he's having. Now, yes: Packed schedule. Also, another highschooler character? Not sure I want that for him. I can see why they would consider him (babyface and all) but I'd rather have him not typecasted. Imo, he would be a great baddie. Or a young dad. Just something different, you know.

I happy for him and all the love calls he's getting, but really, he needs to stop doing all the 'school' and 'student' theme stuff... Not only am I, as a viewer getting tired of him doing the same things over again, but he just might get stuck in a rut and type-cast himself..... Wait, it's not a 'might', I think he already HAS type-cast himself T.T

To be fair to him, he does it pretty well, but if he goes on like this, he'll be playing high schoolers until he's off to do his military service!
At least Kim Young-kwang's done roles in which he's not actually playing a teenager....

He's at a good age, has a baby face and brings that oompf to an highschool role....he's got plenty of time to beef up his resume with heavier and darker roles as he starts to become more mature in his acting career but right now, I'm happy he's doing stuff that suits him and striking the iron while its hot....works for him...once we get tired of it, I'm sure he'll pop out with a role that'll surprise us

I agree. I'm not disappointed with the high school student roles, maybe because I'm in high school and I love high school themed dramas and movies. I agree that he has plenty of time to play darker roles later on.

I am all for the Park Bo-young pairing because I really liked what she did with Werewolf Boy, but it'd be nice to see him play a character who isn't still a teenager.

try Werewolf Boy! It's a movie, so not a huge time commitment, and she's good in it too. Plus, Song Joong-ki is the lead, so watching it is definitely not a chore.
(I should probably warn you that it's very emotional, though- not makjang emotional, but it nearly made me cry)

I am borderline obsessed with this kid. He sure knows how to pick all the best projects that make it impossible not to fall in love with him. I adore Park Bo Young, too, so definitely adding this movie to my must-watch list if the pairing comes true.

I fall in love with anything Lee Jong Seok does! But so far he hasn't really had a huge love line with a girl yet, well not one where she liked him back. So I am curious as to how he will act in this film! On a side note, I just need more Woo Bin bromance!

Well, I suppose he's got the rest of his career to play characters not in high school. He should milk it while he can imo. Park Bo Young is a solid actress, I think they'll make a good pair.

Is it just me or does that sound insane?!! I thought actors are normally stressed to even film 1 drama given the live shoot schedule or whatever it's called.....how on earth is he going to live through 3???

I'm happy for him! I didn't really watch him in anything, I was more drawn to Kim Woo Bin (WOOOBIEEEE) but I'm really enjoying I Can Hear Your Voice (minus the creepy killer part). He's been great so far!

Oh I forgot to mention the Kim Kwang Young part...YES please, cast him in everything! I adored him in Can We Get Married? and I want to see him in more dramas ASAP. Him, Woo Bin and Jong Seok are fantastic model-turned-actors!

Is this the Hyun Bin-style lead up before you enter the army? I wonder if these guys take on so many projects to build their fan base and popularity before they head to the army. He's so young that building his popularity now and then taking off for his army stint just about guarantees he'll be a hot commodity when he returns.

I love his (cute button) nose in the above photo and I am assuming that it was his original. His nose now looked too pinched but hey no problem, just was a random observation. At the end of the day his personality and how much impact he does on us viewers matters and he was won our hearts already! I love love love him or rather SuHa his character from I hear your voice... he is a great actor and is on the right tract for super stardom... Park Bo Young is another good actress so it would be nice to see them together on screen...

Will this guy ever graduate high school? LOL. He plays a high school student very well but I hope this will be his last high school project (if he really takes the role). He's already 25 and even he looks young, I think it's time for more serious/grown up role.

thank you dramabeans for the update and please do let us know if he accepted the role or if someoneelse accepted it I would love to watch a movie with just lee jong suk as a lead actor and have heard so much good stuffs about the actress so, would be a real treat if they actually did it........... keeping my fingers crossed,,, but even if he didn't I guess I shouldn't complain there is a lot of time and plus that boy desperately needs some rest I guess... he's got too many selfis of himself sleeping around the set....
