Joo-won’s spring shoot for @star1

Here’s a bunch of photos of Joo-won, just because. Like you need a reason for pictures of Joo-won, right? The actor did an interview with @star1, where he talked about his recent drama Level 7 Civil Servant (better known around these parts as The Drama That Shall Not Be Named) and life as the maknae on variety show 1 Night 2 Days. Guess which part of the interview I read.
When asked about all his married hyungs on 1N2D, he said: “I’m envious. The hyungs are all family-oriented. Lately Tae-woong-ie hyung is always saying that he ate breakfast before leaving the house. Haha. I envy them when there’s downtime and they call their wives and kids. I think Tae-woong-ie hyung married well and they all seem happy. When I see them, I have thoughts about wanting to make a beautiful family of my own.”
About Kim Seung-woo and Bird PD leaving the show: “It makes me sad. When I first met the hyungs and we became close I didn’t even realize it but I had imagined us being that way for the rest of my life. We became so close in a year, and I thought that even if it wasn’t this show, I’d want to keep those relationships going even as I grew older. It makes me sad, but just because we’re not doing the same program doesn’t mean our relationship changes. It’s just that not doing something together anymore was really sad. We all cried on [Seung-woo’s] last day. Everyone was trying so hard not to cry and they became so standoffish that it shocked me. When we did the closing all seven of us had no words. Everyone was looking off somewhere else. But we all hugged each other and cried.”
He described his relationship with Level 7 co-star Choi Kang-hee as friendly and not at all like two people with a 10-year age gap. (Apparently he calls her “Kang-jjang” and she calls him “Mung-mung-ie,” like a puppy. How apt.) We’ll see for ourselves because she’s guesting on 1N2D in a friend episode, coming soon.
Joo-won has a movie on the way where he plays a cop who falls in love with a cat burglar (Kim Ah-joong), and he’ll be starring in the musical rendition of Ghost with Ivy in the fall.

He is adorable! And for some reason, he reminds me of Hyun Bin in the 2nd picture (something about the way his head is tilted, his dimples, and the look in his eyes).

I'm a professional photo editor so I can usually tell these things, and I would say that besides what's been done with makeup, lighting, etc, his jaw line has just been emphasized and sharpened, and mostly in the profile shots. I don't consider that super drastic, but everyone has different opinions.

Don't know what they did but his face looks like he has a vshape face in most of the pics. I noticed the poses gave the illusion too. I like his regular face and don't think they need to make him appear like he has a slim face. Hence the giving him a complex comment.

Um... I bet he's wearing ankle socks... they're super common among the young here in Asia. No one really 'not wear socks' because then it'll make the shoes and feet stink and gross. (Plus, I don't really think those shoes are for him to keep.)

Aw.. I teared up reading about how they all cried on Kim Seung-woo's last day on set. It's the idea of it, and also Joo Won's telling of it. There's something very natural and candid and emotionally honest in how he tells it, which I love. <3

whenever I think of Joo Won now I think Peter Pan, a kid at heart with an adorable impish smile which is so not what I thought when I saw him being all scruffy bad ass cop on Ojakkyo Bros but with a personality like that its kinda hard to hide especially on a show like 1n2d. Fact (IMHO): the boy/kid is adorbs but being all bad ass is Joo Won at his smexy best.

He's having a fanmeet in Taiwan soon. Makes me wanna go there just to see him! Kyah!
And even though L7CS is a not so awesome drama, I still think it helped Joo Won's career further. He was introduced to those who would otherwise stay away from lengthy dramas (Ojakgyo) and heavy dramas (gaksital). And with that gained more fans who are marathoning said dramas after falling in love with Joo Won as Han Gil Ro!

This guy is such a mix of manliness and cuteness that's perplexing. He is so badass and sexy as Lee Kangto then unexpectedly cute and puppy as Han Gilro. He is totally different no matter what character he plays. What a chameleon

gosh, i'm loving him day by day. to me, he's not as perfect-looking or as gorgeous as some k-actors out there. but he's charming on his own, and he's such a sweet, gentle, lovable kid who really wants a family on his own. he's gonna be a great boyfriend, husband and a lover~ if he's dating anyone, she sure is one lucky gal..
i dont care if this photos are photoshopped a bit or a lot. we know how cute and adorable he already is. but there's no faking THOSE DIMPLES..... <3

missing GAKSITAL like crazy..... badass roles are best suited for him, and not rom-coms. he tried though, and i think if given a good storyline, he might just do really well. i have yet to see him as a 'rom-com' actor just yet. he's better being a pouty (Ojakgyo Brothers) or a serious actor (Gaksital).
looking forward to more of his projects~ i might be flying to korea to see his musical as soon as he confirms his performance dates. ^^
