Joo Sang-wook returns with TEN Season 2

It’s sequel time for OCN crime thriller Special Affairs Team TEN, starring Joo Sang-wook as a hard-nosed detective solving violent crimes with his ragtag team. With franchise shows like Vampire Prosecutor and God’s Quiz leading the cable network’s multi-season branding, it never even occurred to me that this show wouldn’t get a second season, because I just assumed it was slated to come back for more crime-solving goodness.
The rest of the cast is set to return with Joo Sang-wook as well — the veteran detective Kim Sang-ho (You Who Rolled In Unexpectedly), cutie pie minion Choi Woo-shik (Rooftop Prince), and profiler Jo Ahn (King Gwanggaeto). Joo Sang-wook’s twisted detective is called the “monster who catches monsters,” just not literally monsters (not yunno, vampire-prosecutor style). He’s more of your think-like-your-target, dogged cop without any rules, who just works the strangest cases that anyone can come up with and essentially becomes the devil to catch the devil.
It’s a stylish show with cases that get so twisty you don’t know which way is up. The name TEN comes from the types of criminals the team gets assigned: the ones that are deemed to have less than 10% chance of being caught. The first season aired on Friday nights at midnight, if that’s any indication of the level of graphic violence. But even at that hour it reached 3.91% ratings at its peak, which are fantastic numbers for cable.
TEN Season 2 starts shooting in February, and will return with the same creative team — director Lee Seung-young and writer Nam Sang-wook. It doesn’t have a premiere date yet, but is due out on OCN this year.

I love this show and I'm glad its back. I thought Joo Sang-wook has been a so so actor until TEN. Kim Sang-ho, totally awesome (my fav).

That's great news. I really enjoyed Season 1 and hated when it was over.

There are other dramas with potential for a 2nd (and3rd) seasons. I didn't mind to watch Vampy Prosecutor III.

yes. its very good. but it is a required taste. if u are okay with some gore and more gore with a bit of suspense then u'll be a happy camper. a bit like criminal minds (american show)

Huzzah!!! Well written and well produced cable shows have completely spoiled me. It's a rare Big 3 show that can get me this happy. Alas, almost all my favorite K-dramas are on cable these days. What's up with that?!

i read 'it's squeal time'...hahaha (joo sang wook does have that effect). this call for season 1 rewatch or mybe just the final ep. ten is awesome. criminal minds-like dramas are just my cup of cocoa. so, WEEHOO!

This the best news I have had all day. I am so excited. Season one for me one was one of the best crime dramas I have watched and that includes mainstream American shows. I love darkness of the show and the main character JSW taps into that darkness so well. Super excited can't wait for Season 2.

oh yesssss!!!! The first season was bloody brilliant - in my mind - and the ending so was set up for a second season, but I never heard news of this. And now having the proof that there will be a second season, I'm soooooo soooo glad and happy and etc....yeah

Ps: Seeing JSW's real life airhead (don't kill me!) character in QOM has made me realise how great an actor he is. Lol. :D

One of the best investigation/suspense Kdrama, even better than Ghost and Vampire Prosecutor(though those 2 are not bad at all.).
JSW's performance is intense and the cases are gritty, it's a bit gory but it creates the atmosphere instead of being gory for the sake of it.
After the ending in season 1, I was already eager to watch season 2, hopefully the script have the same quality as season 1.

I LOVED this show for so many reasons, the main one being the writers do not treat the audience like dullards. The second being, everything else. Although after watching this i have my "dexter" effect where i feel strangers are potential twisted killers...id lead a boring life otherwise.

Unlike CSI, TEN is incredibly owesome! can't miss even 1 episode. Helps me think the same "like a detective" too hehehe. J Sang Wook (Sangguk) u r best but if possible producer, let him cheer little bit - look dull don't you think so? Anyway keep up the good acting and hope to see you more on tv - kbs/sbs etc....
