Kim Yoon-hye (Woori) joins Flower Boy cast
by javabeans
When it rains, it pours: Another addition rounds out our Flower Boy Next Door cast, with Kim Yoon-hye jumping onboard. If that name is unfamiliar, it’s because the artist formerly known as Woori changed her stage name this year and is now acting under her real name.
In this drama, Kim Yoon-hye plays Yoon Shi-yoon’s first love and best friend. Her character is described as a free spirit, the kind of person who throws herself wholeheartedly after something she wants. Ha, well if the thing she wants is the hero, she’ll have to settle for disappointment since he’s set up to romance Park Shin-hye.
The two ladies have actually gone head-to-head before; Kim Yoon-hye played Park’s rival in last year’s You’ve Fallen For Me, where their characters were both up for the lead in the big anniversary musical production. Maybe one of these days Kim will manage to win the upper hand, but it’ll have to be in a different drama — maybe third time’ll be the charm?
Flower Boy Next Door premieres January 7 on tvN.

I've never seen her in anything but love her distinctive face. Reminds me of Devon Aoki, the Asian version.

Correction: the Korean version, since Aoki's pan-Asian (:

I think she's more interesting than Park Shin-hye who unfortunately only increasingly annoyed me (by boring me) in You've Fallen for Me.

Park Shin Hye is never boring. Maybe u find her character in the drama boring but never as a person or actress. Please don't confuse the her character there with her personality. It's unfair to label her as such when she is only following a script.
With all the popularity she is gaining right now, for sure its cos she is not boring at all.

*gasp* Woah, more than two female cast member in an FB serie. :D
I didn't mind Woori, er, Kim Yoon-hye (just don't change your name to a symbol) in You’ve Fallen for Me. She was actually an interesting character, her character was flawed but in a more realistic way that many teen goes thru. Her "villainess" tendency was derived from parental pressure, pressure to succeed, jealousy, or just simply making the wrong choices in life, etc.
so, good luck, Kim Yoon-hye. aja aja

She was quite an interesting one in "You’ve Fallen for Me", but i didn't see her in any other drama, so its hard to predict her there. (btw, is she still so thin? :D just joking )

I would have been more interested in her character in You've Fallen For Me and more sympathetic towards her if she was actually the impressive singer/performer that everyone was making her out to be, but she was faaaar from it. That took the believability out of it for me. Hopefully her character here is more believable.

yeah, I liked her portrayal of the stress and motivation that drives her character, but the singing and dancing that she actually did onscreen was, well, let's just not say anything.

I know! Three ladies so far. I kind of want them all to end up friends, even if they're the bickering kind, like at the end of Queen of Reversals. I'm so happy that it's not just one girl and a whole bunch of (good looking, teehee) guys. Hopefully none of the ladies will be to outrageously villainous in their romantic opposition.

I like her look. I'm loving the casting for this more and more. They already had me at Park Shin Hye, but they just keep giving me ice cream with my cake!

So now anyone joins the cast gets its own title?
Sorry for the cynicism, but all future dramas don't sound particularly interesting. Oh, well, maybe if I was a teenager, I would also find it interesting.

Hey! I'm follower #9 of Incarnation of money, sure I'm in. Salaryman production team is in. nomu (hi there!) is in. I bet HeadsNo2 is in. Don't worry, baby, although it will not be a channel with a lot of fans, cause unique and witty writing is a dirty word in k-land (yes, how can we live without typical cliches?), you have us, so bring it on!
*Sorry if I sounded pessimistic. Nice Guy's end ruined my 19 episodes journey and I Miss You shrinks my heart every episode a little more.*

Her character in You've Fallen For Me got better towards the end, though the plotting felt rushed. She's a good young actress, though I have seen better. I hope she's good in this drama. Can't wait for this show!

She has such a pretty, doll-like face! (I get the Devon Aoki comparisons but I think she's much prettier. Aoki looks a little creepy to me).
I'm excited for this show! Can't wait to see Yoon Shi Yoon again. :D
