Youthful romance in I Miss You’s poster shoot
by javabeans
Awww. My heart tugs for the lovers of I Miss You already, and that’s from these four photos, which come from the drama’s poster shoots taken on October 8.
Well, the production sure knew what they were about when casting Yeo Jin-gu and Kim So-hyun (The Moon That Embraces the Sun), because they are two young souls capable of shoring up a heckuva lot of goodwill for their adult counterparts, Yoochun and Yoon Eun-hye. And while neither of them looks very much like their future selves, I’m pretty sure I don’t care since I’m just happy to see them acting in a new project. Without one sucking out the youthful virility of the other this time.
The MBC melodrama centers around the two characters who fall in love at fifteen, are separated by some painful K-drama MacGuffin, and reunite years later all growed up. So while the premise carries lots of melo implications, if we’re going by the credits of the producers (which include Smile You and Can You Hear My Heart by the writer, and Thank You and Can’t Lose by the director) I think the show promises to be pretty warm and touching as well.
Yeo Jin-gu said after the shoot, “Since it’s my first poster shoot, it was harder to get into character than when filming a drama. But it was a good experience, and will help in my acting.”
Kim So-hyun said,”Since the poster has to imply and represent one scene from the drama, it was a bit difficult, and unfamiliar. But I feel really good about it, and I think the poster will have a lot of ambiance so I look forward to it.”
I Miss You premieres following Arang and the Magistrate at the end of October.

I hated her character in it: The pure bratty princess, whining from beginning to end (like in Lady). OMS was great and yes they had chemistry but if YEH wants to impress me with her acting skills, she has to pick up different kind of characters and play a bit fresh.

LOL, where did she go to have a comeback? She in drama and movies every year since she debut this not a comeback, a person success is not determine by the drama rating but the acting skills as an artist. Lie To Me was very successfully in U.S and China and one of my top 5 favorite because it was "GOOD" Honey, this not a comeback 240 comment less then 24 hours, she is a powerhouse!
Missing You (MBC, 2012)
Lie to Me (SBS, 2011)
Personal Preference (MBC, 2010) cameo
Take Care of the Young Lady (KBS2, 2009)

October 11, 2012 at 9:41 PM
In Korea, every new project is regarded as a "comeback."
Same goes for music groups that have new albums/singles every year.
And LTM was simply horrible - just awful cliche filled writing w/ stereotypical characters and stilted, uninteresting dialogue.

October 12, 2012 at 11:52 AM
My goodness, yes! LTM was awful! I will never understand extreme fans unable to recognize when a drama of their idol sucks. I watched a lot of crap dramas because I liked the cast. Still I'm able to say it's purely and simply crap. It's like the Earth will stop spinning if they acknowledge it.
bd
October 12, 2012 at 3:00 PM
I've liked YEH since her X-Man days, but I have no problem acknowledging when the drama she's in is crap or if her acting is subpar.
Basically, I'm waiting to see the combination of a great script and a great PD (like in CP) who can draw out another good performance from YEH.
Seems to me that too many PDs want YEH to rely on acting "cute" as acting which is simply annoying.
While I like cute, it has to be natural (like SMA in MGIAG or KTH in "My Princess") and not fake and cloying.

I love Yeo Jin-gu complexion, it not that pale, lifeless, chalky white, he have a darker skin tone that makes him looks so healthy. I read that his kind of skin tone is considered unattractive, especially on a female. It’s differently an Asia mind set because I always shudder when I see Asia actress/actor that look like “Ghost” I just want to scream eat a burger, get some sunlight!
I’m loving the drama “Nice Guy” but I swear I just want them to stay on that beach and get some sun I felt like they could do a sick scene right on the beach that how pale they complexion look. I glad that Yeo Jin-gu has not started to bleach his skin he look “Yummy” with a little color to him.

she is right... in Korea is a great thing to have your skin whiter than paper - and the cosmetics for doing it are the MUST HAVE of the day.
I love to see their complexion as natural as God gave it to them - eventually a lil tanned, I still think the natural color of the skin is the best color
I love Kim Nam Gil to the moon and back, yet his red carpet apparitions are a mystery to me - too much make-up for porn on legs guy
or No Min Woo - he is white enough even for Korean standards - yet his face whiter than his neck distracts me every time - and he is one of the prettiest faces I've ever seen.
However the fact that Koreans avoid the sun is their secret of their youthful skin even at 40 years old.

It's not that, it's the equating being pale to being sickly thing which isn't always true. While, I'm not condoning the act of skin-whitening (I personally feel it's unnecessary and silly), I don't think it's all that nice to label pale or white skin as something awful. Some people are just naturally white; pale or whatever...that's why I said be mindful.

lol,, seriously, among all the actors in this drama, I trust YJG the most,, since I have never seen him in a drama that's BAD (though some became draggy due to the extension so anyway..)
Added to the good news that the production team is really promising..
I read somewhere that the team, aside from Can you hear my heart and Thank you, assistant PDs are from Queen Seon Deok,The Moon That Embraces the Sun,Sung Kyun Kwan Scandal...
I don't know if that means we get more quality style and directing.. but I hope we do.. I have been really down lately trying to like dramas with lots of potential but horrible directing and execution.

Aww... So pretty! I love these kids. Although I've found so far (especially with Yeo Jin Gu) that I readily lose interest in the characters after the "childhood" phase of the series because the child actors do such a great job setting up the characters from Day One. Which is so weird because I often look forward to the series because of the adult actors, am looking forward to the appearance of the adult actors while I watch the child actors, but then I enjoy the children so much that I miss them a lot when they finish up their parts. And then I get all excited about the first appearance of the adults... but somehow it loses steam so quickly afterwards.
Okay, I don't know what I'm talking about. But it's safe to say that the child actors often times set up the beginning of the story so well that I just hate to see them leave.
I do like Yoochun and Yoon Eun Hye though, and if the story line isn't too monotonous or too cliched, I might end up enjoying things.
